Very dissapointed the prices have risen so much now thay charge to remove polish 5 dollars for a callus remove its now 10 dollars was 5 like a month ago.Thay don't tell yu till the end whan I got a full set nails (Short)and a pedicure only my finger nails were gel my toes regular I spent 100 dollars even are thay fukn crazy my toe nails didn't even match my figure nails thay were supposto..Very unhappy thay need to post there prices not sock it to yu without saying prices went up again. read more

I decided to give this place a try based on all the good reviews and I'm so glad I did. They have so many beautiful colors and designs. I came as a walk-in but Katie was able to do my full set. It was a little bit more expensive than what I usually pay to get my nails done, but they made my baby and I feel so welcomed that I honestly didn't mind the price. One of the girls even held my baby while Katie finished up my set. Another thing that I noticed is that they don't have random conversations with each other in their language like other shops do. Making it seem like they're talking about you. I really loved their professionalism. I will definitely be coming back my set came out beautiful. Next time I'm making an appointment though. Took a trip to see my gal pal down in montebello a few days, she recommended this nail salon and suggested we had go get our nails done. The staff was very welcoming and took us in right away! I showed my nail technician a photo of what I wanted, she made my nails look better then the photo! She took her time on my nails and didn't rush. I recommend this place!! read more

Sadly I had an awful experience here that began with the technician asking me to pay before my nails were even painted (bizarre!). While I was taken to a seat quickly, as soon as a woman came who had called in earlier, it was clear to me that I was no longer a priority. On top of paying for a manicure before my nails were polished, the filing of my nails was crooked and even jagged in some instances. In leas than 24 hours, the polish on one of my nails had chipped. Katie is awesome! The service and quality are both amazing. I would have to say the only downfall is they do not answer their phone....EVER. I dont know how any business can have a listed number and not answer the phone. Oddly, it appears to be a cellphone which doesn't ring it just goes straight to voicemail. Frustrating for any customer calling to confirm their appointment (which they say they're supposed to do) or just to ask general questions. Other than that factor...I do love them! read more

I've been coming here for a few years. It's a great place to come and get your nails done. Clean, calm, and relaxing. Staff is always so nice. If I'm not happy with the outcome of my nails they will fix it until I am. Lots of options in color. They have Gel and dips. And they don't have random conversations in another language. Came in for a pedicure and the place is nice, clean and well organized. The pedicure spa chairs are comfortable and the tools used are clean and new. The spa is covered in a plastic wraparound bag to avoid any cross contamination. They were very thorough with the cutting and treatment. Will definitely be coming back. read more

My appt with Juner & Katie was fabulous! They were very caring and professional Been looking for a new forever place ... my previous nail tech of 4 yrs was no longer in the country and my nails were raggedy. Definitely not 5 stars! First time going there. It started off ok except I was surprised when the guy doing my pedicure immediately starting putting my sandals on me after he was done. I asked if we should wait till they dried. He continued to help me get off my seat. He didn't offer for me to sit somewhere else. He left the tissue on between my toes. I walked out of the salon and needless to say the polish from one of my toes got ruined. I had to go back and he had the nerve to ask what happened. I don't recommend this place! I stopped by here for a quick manicure and was very disappointed. First of all, they are pricier than normal. I had to wait 10 minutes for someone to acknowledge my existence. Finally, when I made them aware that I was waiting, they asked what I needed. I chose my color and sat down. The nail polish I chose was apparently on it's death bed but the tech kept on placing the color on my nails anyway. When she was on my 9th nail, she apparently had a ahhh haaa moment and realize that the nail polish she was using was not cutting it. She took a darker color and covered my already messed up nails. Another tech stepped in to remedy the situation and attempted to clean my nails to start from scratch. At this time, I had already been there for 40 minutes. I told her to just leave the mess since I had no time for them to fix my nails. They gave me a whole $5 off. Lucky me. Will not be going back. I had just come from another nail salon who jacked up my nail (crooked shape and bad polish) and Cindy here at Five Star Nails completely fixed my nails and gave me a phenomenal hand/forearm massage. I happened to be at Montebello Town Center. I was also in need of spa services. Out of convenient, I shopped by Five Star salon. The staffs are nice & polite. But the service was OVER PRiCE! My service was a plain pedicure with callus removal & no polish. I was charged $30.00. With that price, at other salons I could have Mani/Pedi with polish. Adding, I didn't like the chair. I was being push back & forth, so they can adjust the position of my treatment. Also, when I needed change for tips. I was giving back large bills & not singles. I felt obligated to tip more, as of the plain service was not breaking my wallet. NEVER GOING BACK THERE AGAIN! read more

Came here a couple days ago for mani/pedi. Loved it!! Soo excited to go back. Everyone was very nice and attentive.

I get anxiety about going to Nail Salons for many reasons but this place was so comfy and relaxing. I think the girls did a really good job on my mani/pedi and they were very lovely and helpful. They have a broad selection of colors and style as well. With favorite brands such as O.P.I. and Apple. They even go around offering water bottles, juice and chips but were missing the wine? Lol! I also liked that it was quick or at least it seemed quick since you have the view of the mall and a tv screen so I was very distracted by all of that and forgot about my nail salon anxiety lol read more

I've come here a few times in the past for manicure and pedicure . The ladies that do the manicure do a great job but the ones doing the pedicures don't know what they're doing . I had this guy do my pedicure today and I must admit this was the worst pedicure I've gotten . I felt sorry for the guy because you can tell he's new , but regardless , he needs to be trained correctly . The manager had to come and do the job for him . I'm not paying any less because he doesn't do a good job , I'm still paying full price. This is the last time I get a pedicure in this salon . I will only come for a manicure.
