my overall experience was OK when I called to make my appointment I got told it was $50 for a full set a plain white color when I got there and it was time to file and cut my nails me for the length they are not long at all and she told me they were very long it made me visibly upset that I got told one price and then it got changed just because of the length. read more

I went in and picked from their colors. I chose the "cat-eye" design off of the book page and showed the guy. I think his name was Michael, not 100% though. I had previous dip on, so he removed it and started cutting and shaping my nails. First problem, my nails on one hand are wayyyy longer than on my other. I wasn't paying much attention to what he was doing because I had a child with me, which is why I didn't really notice my nails until later on. He proceeds to paint my nails with the gel color i picked out. It was the sparkly color I picked out without the effect so I figured he would later use the magnet needed to give them the cat-eye effect. He never did that. I paid $50 and left. I later realized after I got home that they were not what I had picked out and showed him on the book page and you could also see the brush marks from the applicator. So I called and asked the lady on the phone if they could fix them, she said yes to come right now. So I came back in, showed her my nails and she asked the guy who originally did them to fix them. I go over to him and he says, "you want cat-eye, you have to pay $10 more" I politely told him that I wanted cat eye the first time and he didn't do it, which is why i had to drive all the way back, and I would not be paying the $10 because of his mistake. He kept insisting that it was my fault and that I had to pay. (the top of the page I picked my color from said $10 extra) which I was aware of and completely fine with paying! Eventually the guy at the front desk asked me to come up there. He asked my name and showed me my ticket and how much I paid, which was $50 and that if i wanted cat eye i had to pay $10. After me re-explaining that I was not paying $10 for their mistake I eventually left which unfixed nails. They were very rude and I would not recommend! They definitely will not do what they advertise. read more

My experience is somewhat the same as all the others that have left a review for "five star nails" I had dips put on and in they were done well and I received a coupon for my birthday for a percentage off my next visit. I had a Mani & a pedi. Went back couple months later for my birthday with the coupon and after giving her my credit card I asked her if I got my percentage off and was told " oh I forgot so sorry next time next time" Ok OK next time comes and she did the same thing as she has done with others instead of soaking the dips off she kept trying to pull them off, and my nails ended up like tissue paper! I brought the certificate with me, handed it to her and again upon paying I asked her if that included the percentage off and again I was told " oh so sorry next time next time" Well, I was dumb and gave it a third try same thing happened and I said to myself that's it. I'm done. I'm never coming back.! I've had dips on for over five or six years and never had an experience like that ever! I went in for a medi pedi...I came out with fingernails that make my fingers look crooked and after the so called fix...they look worse. My toenail half painted not trimmed and old polish left on it. No apologies just lots of talking I couldn't understand. The absolute WORST manicure and pedicure of my life. I am new to town so sought out reviews and they got a good one well I am here to show you...they did a horrific job and now to go spend another 90.00 to have these taken off and re-done!!! read more

I just moved to oak ridge and have been doing my nails off and on at this facility. Yesterday I came in to do my nails. I needed a new set. I needed to remove the old set. I had the worse experience with older heavier set guy at this place. He is rude and was so angry working on my nails. He complained the whole time I was there. I was so uncomfortable with him because he just didn't stop complaining the whole time. At the beginning I informed him what I wanted and he said I talked too much. He was at so rude. I am never going to this place. I couldn't wait to leave. If he does not like working on nails he shouldn't be working at a place that requires customer service. I thought I would take my nephew with me to go get a mani pedi and it was horrific he was so upset when we left there and he didn't want to say anything to anybody about it so now we have the task of trying to take off his fingernail polish which is a base and the technician wouldn't even listen to what he was trying to say. Quick, wonderful pedicure by friendly, skilled staff!

I went here based on the 5 star rating. I had Tom who did a very good job on my nail fill and pedicure. I am going back again before I leave for California. The one drawback was that they didn't do the fill and pedicure at the same time so it took about 1 1/2 hours for both. I'm on vacation so that was ok for me. Where do I start... well I will start with the fact that I went in on a Friday afternoon, there was at least 6 people working, there was one other woman getting a pedicure and the rest of the stations were empty. The guy at the front asked if I had an appointment ,I said no that I did not. He said he recommended that I did but that they could fit me in. I wanted a new set and a pedicure. I sat down and got an older gentleman to do my nails. His station was dirty and he was not friendly or welcoming at all! I showed him a picture of what I wanted and he said no problem. I told him that I liked them narrow and short and he said ok.. as he started to put the tips on I realized that the tips he was putting on were way to wide for my nail bed. I have had nails on for over 20 years but just moved here from out of state and had them off for a few months while looking for a new salon. When I mentioned again that I liked them narrow his reply was, "your nail beds are fat"! I said well I have had nails on for 20 years and have never been told that and that I have had them how I like them! From that point on he proceeded to tell me he has been doing nails for over 20 years.. awesome then stop cutting me with your damn drill! He was so rough and my nails look like straight trash! I showed him a picture of pink powder and I got clear.. The first one broke after 4 days and the rest lifted within a week. Total waste of $55! I declined the pedicure because at this point I was gonna cut my losses and move on! I would not recommend at all. I wanted to love them after reading other reviews but my experience was awful. The foot massage was good and relaxing but that's the only positive thing. I asked for the deluxe pedicure and they did not provide all the services listed on the menu for that one- I did not get the salt soak or the mud mask. The color she used on me was not the color I pointed too, color is light and see through and she did 3 coats on only 2 nails so now they're uneven and splotchy. Did not clean up the polish around my nails so it looks a mess. Did not let me sit under the nail dryer and made me leave with my nails completely wet so of course the polish got completely messed up on my drive home. Charged an extra $5 without warning for taking off my old polish, which I've never heard of any salon doing that unless you're not getting your nails redone? Will not be returning. read more

Let me start off by saying I have never once in my life written a review and I thought about it for a few days before proceeding. This is hands down the WORST nail salon I have ever been to. I just moved to the area and needed a new go to salon. I did my research and saw good reveiws, especially for Tiffany. I decided to book an appointment with her for an acrylic removal and a new set. Before the appointment I let her know that I am very sensitive with my fingernails and have a fear of them bending. In addition to this, my nail are a bit fragile from having acrylics on them for a few years. Tiffany clearly did not care about my concerns nor the health of my nails because she proceeds to rip off my acrylics and sticks a new tip between my real nail and the acrylic and pried them off. For those who don't know the correct and certified procedure acrylics are supposed to be soaked off and drilled down. I was visibly in pain and pulling my hands back and she laughs at me and speaks in another language to the man next to her thinking my reaction is funny and proceeds to rip them off. She tore one off so bad that it went down to my skin and burned. Then on top of that the new set she put on looks like crap. The acrylic is lumpy and the shapes are uneven. To make things worst as I was leaving she says "sorry for hurting you". I have never left a place so angry and in tears. I am so pissed I didn't fight for a refund. DO NOT GO HERE! They clearly do not follow the correct procedure or care about you read more
