I will start by saying I have visited this salon before and had a great experience. However yesterday I returned for a pedicure, and the lady cut a chunk out of my big toe. I was bleeding all over the towel and she kept spraying alcohol on it and mashing it with cotton balls which was very painful. I'm glad she was diligent about sanitizing it so I don't have to amputate, but omg I did not enjoy this experience. I was in pain the whole time and I felt like she spent more time doing surgery on my toe than she did working on my feet. I still have callouses on my heels and toes and she didn't touch the cuticles on my nail beds. Honestly I wouldn't have thought twice about this and could have just moved on, because mistakes happen and I know she didn't mean to....BUT, I was charged full price for this service and that's why I'm here leaving a review. I'm not one to complain or ask for freebies because it makes me uncomfortable. But honestly I was caught off guard because I didn't expect to have to pay for this experience. At least not full price anyway. I work in customer service and in my opinion you don't charge people for injuring them. I will not be returning to ViNa nor be recommending them to friends. I hope this review encourages ViNa to step up their customer service and they do better in the future. read more

My dip ombré was beautifully done by AK. My right pinky was cut far too narrow, unfortunately, and the upper color was more white-toned than I asked for--I specifically asked for a nude tone as the base. I wish communication had been better. If I had known my right pinky was cut too narrow, I would have been okay with him cutting off my natural nail and replacing it with a tip to correct it. Because of that, I am giving 4 stars for my experience. read more

This place is so good and worth the price! The most delicate and least painful acrylic removal I've ever had, and only $10! I got acrylic removal, new acrylics put on, and gel with a design. Total was only $55 which is pretty cheap for how good of a job they did. They really took their time and had good conversation with me as well! 100% will be going back here. Also, they have regulars that drive over an HOUR to get their nails done. If that doesn't show you how good quality it is, I don't know what will. read more

My favorite nail salon in the area. I've been to 4-5 different ones and most have some good qualities but ViNa Nails is best for everything. The environment, cost, staff, and nails are great. I got a full set done and they were super efficient and detail oriented, first time I haven't been nicked when getting my nails filed and they didn't file them so much that they hurt which is a plus. The staff there are super kind and lively. Only complaint is they're always booked but I see why so try to schedule an appt a few days in advance! read more

Went in for a mani pedi with gel polish. My feel were already in pretty good condition with hardly any rough skin or calluses, but after the "smoothing" manicure they are not very smooth; I have about the same amount of dead skin on my feet as before. Manicure was mediocre. The cuticle work was pretty good, but the polish came out bumpy and there's a big gap between the polish and my cuticles. One of my nails had a dent and hair cured into it, and when a tech fixed it, he made a comment about how since it was on my natural nail it wouldn't be perfectly smooth, which is not true because I can honestly say it looks better when I do my own gel polish, and when I do it, it's smooth. I will not be going back. read more

I went searching for a salon that would do my toes and fingernails for a decent price that wasn't too far from my home. After searching for days and reading lots of reviews, I called ViNa Nails. The angels were smiling on me that day because the person who answered the phone turned out to be the one who understood my questions, my handicap, and said that she would be happy to take care of me when I came in for my appointment. Being nervous, as this was my first time in a new place, I was greeted by several people when I arrived, and my manicurist knew exactly who I was and came to greet me. She is a beautiful Asian woman with piercings on her face and tattoos on her chest and arms. Her smile is warm and friendly, and she made me feel relaxed and right at home. The pedicure was perfect with her taking care of my worn out feet and nails. So soothing. She also made me feel so comfortable by telling me about herself and asking me about my life. The manicure and gel polish was just as nice with lots of beautiful colors. She also answered any questions I had. I have continued to go back to ViNa Nails for almost a year, and, except for a few occasions, have always used the same woman. I am so happy to have found this salon. First time visiting a couple weeks ago and I love the place. My nails were perfect and my pedicure was just as great! Unfortunately about a week after having my pedicure I noticed drainage from my big toe. I didn't want to blame them because things happen. Welllll I took my nails off two days ago and two of my nails are green!!! Currently on antibiotics and my dr told me I would eventually lose my toenail! She also advised I don't go back (which i wasn't)because it's very obvious they don't sterile their equipment like they should. I've been getting my nails and toes done for years and this has never happened. I'm soooo disappointed because like I stated I loved my nails but I would Never go back! read more

This is the only nail salon I will ever go to. I've been getting my nails done here for 2 years and have never had a bad experience. My acrylic nails never chip (yes, they've lasted up to 4 weeks with no chipping) and the employees here are friendly and experienced and treat you like family when you enter. Every time I go to another nail salon, I end up with shredded nails that are painful due to them drilling down too far. I really wanted to like this place. I've been 3x now and each time has been lack luster.... First the guy who did my nails did not talk to me and rushed. Then when preferred customers came in I was rushed out of my chair to wait at the drying station with unpainted nails. After 10 mins of sitting and looking lost he came back and painted my hands at the drying station! Since then I have had 3 nails break on me! They look nice but are waaaaay too thin! I've never broke this many nails from any salon ever! I went back to get my nail fixed and I am charged. Why? When it was the technicians fault for making them too thin! I broke my latest nail putting groceries in the car! The women workers are friendly, but not so much for the man. I really wanted to like this salon but I am not happy at all. So visiting the area from LA for potentially moving to Knoxville; wanted to try out the local options for mani/pedi. I was aghast that the prices were substantially higher than LA, where everything usually costs 3x the rest of the sane parts of the country - not so here - ViNa Nails beat LA by a wide margin. Also, taking it easy staying local, the next day the mani started to peal. One by one the polish started coming off, and only driving around and checking out local eating establishments and history - not like I was doing anything to stress the manicure. So, that sucked big time! Staff seemed nice, though didn't talk much, though the place does have a kind of kitchy nice atmosphere, and they do have those giant massage chairs for the pedi portion of the visit. Generally, overall, so far from what I would expect for a good salon, and as the heading says, Eek! Methinks not. read more

I went in on Saturday to get a gel manicure and pedicure. The website had this service priced at $65, but I was charged $80 even though I did not add anything or upgrade. Also, one of my nails has already chipped and it is only Monday. I'm a teacher so I don't do anything extreme with my hands to cause this.
