The facility is spacious and open, it's comfortable and tastefully decorated. They do have complimentary wine / beverages... Although it may be a bit early for that right now... I have been going to this place sense I was a young, and I truly love it. I have become close with all of the employees and all of them are so great. My kids love it there too with the cute Anna and Elsa chairs for their pedicures. They always make my nails look great after look rough for a while. All of my years going there I have never experienced any roughness or issues with the salon. I love getting there designs because they do so well at them. My daughter and I visited on Sunday. I went back to fix at least the thumb, even though my manicure, done by the owner Steven, was terrible. I was very polite about it, but he immediately said it was my fault because I moved. He was so quick to jump on me that I think this is his usual position. Anyway, there weren't any other customers when I first went in, but Steven waited until there were some and then proceeded to admonish me in front of them. He gouged my cuticles even more than he originally did, scraped off some of the polish from one of my other nails and polished the new nail with the WRONG POLISH! Literally injured me. I have a cut on my index finger from the electric nail drill. The nail technician was extremely rough with me for the entire experience. When I called them to tell them of this, they basically didn't give a shit and didn't believe me that I was cut. I hate to do this, I really do but "Odyssey Pedispa" has always been my go-to nail place while living in Knoxville, but today's experience made me never want to go back ever again. You can obviously see the lines from where my nail was before, the French tip was uneven on every nail especially my thumbs, and on some of my nails the line wasn't completely finished. I walked back in and very kindly asked if the lady who did them (she was wearing glasses) could fix them and she automatically said No and told me multiple times that was it my fault. She then started to argue with me and raised her voice at me. I used to love this place and I was a regular customer but I will not be going back after this. I even left her a tip and she continued to say it my fault as well as refuse to fix them. I paid too much money for my nails to look like this and to be treated poorly. They let several walk ins ahead of us and did not get our manicures until a little after 3:30. I just got a fill in. The color came out lumpy. My edges were super messy. I called a month later to set up another appointment because I believe in second chances and like I said, he did a good job. I am here right now and so far, NOT IMPRESSED. I popped in and asked the guy at the front how long I had to wait for a pedicure, he said 30 minutes so I left and came back. I then waited another 30 minutes before anyone started on my nails. Even after telling him I was in a hurry and would now have to get the 'Express Pedicure' he proceeded to chat with another customer for several minutes. As another reviewer noticed, he seems more interested in talking to the patrons than doing nails. I really don't understand why a place who accepts walk-ins doesn't have more than 2-3 people "working" at once.
