I did some online research and was able to find the part for $499. When asked how much he marks up his prices, he stated that he doesn't disclose this info, company policy. He also stated that he does not install customer supplied parts. I told him I'd get a second opinion and would get back to him. I contacted another spa repair company who came to perform their own diagnostic and identified and replaced a failed wire. Hot tub and all components immediately fired up. Not sure if Steve just didn't do a thorough diagnostic or was trying to make money replacing parts unnecessarily (with 100% markup). Either way, my experience with this company was a disappointment.
