Good food done well in Murfreesboro,TN. Who knew! Not me. We came after doing a festival. We had on sweats and where able to sit at the bar. Wine list was impressive Service was great The menu was small but it's tight and the kitchen team works well together. It was all hands on deck and it showed . We ordered the charcuterie board, tempura appetizer and the burger. Everything was great. The burger was cooked correctly and my husband loved his left overs the next day . The fish and shrimp where super fresh and the aioli was great. The salted caramel ice cream was decedent and the chocolate chip cookie took the cake. One word best describes this place- Consistent! Their food is consistently good and made from scratch. Small menu, but what they have is fantastic. Not 5 stars to me but definitely a solid 4.5. I don't know of another boro restaurant that can beat them. If you haven't been there you must add them to your list. My husband and I decided to get married here during the pandemic because they have a separate event space next to their restaurant. It was perfect for my family to social distance, but still enjoy the day. From my initial email - to the end of our special day, everything went smoothly! Truly an enjoyable meal with great service. Our server Jeffery (?) was amazing. He made sure to explain everything with very much detail as possible. We came here for our wedding anniversary since we wanted to eat local this year. The flavors were amazing. My husband laughed at the smaller portions but praised the huge flavors. Stopped on our way to a music festival based on a friend's recommendation. First, recognize that your GPS will struggle to find the out of the way (and unmarked) strip where the restaurant is located. That said, once found you are in for a treat! The menu is populated with farm fresh offerings. Our server Victoria was superb, providing answers to our questions and recommendations and even arranging a birthday dessert for my wife! My steak was perfectly prepared with a coffee rub and accompanied with delicious chorizo mashed potatoes and fresh corn salsa. My wife's scallops were gorgeous to see and consume. Who knew that such a gourmet restaurant exists in the middle of TN? The chef is a graduate of the CIA. All entrees and dishes are visually pleasing, very flavorful, fresh and well proportioned! We were too stuffed to have any of the desserts. We had real good cornbread (small, sweet and not too moist nor too grainy). I ordered the cauliflower and white bean falafel as an appetizer and the braised lamb shank as my entree. OMG delishness! He ordered a salad and the filet mignon on crayfish girdle cakes. Wow! The food was great and absolutely delicious. I've been here two times prior and though it was good, their current menu was simply better. The Cabernet with the pork and veal meal was one of the best pairs I've had with food. Their seasonal dessert? Amazing. But Abigail was our server and I never had such a personal experience. I had great expectations when we made the reservations. The service was friendly and attentive. The waitresses served us often and well. The food was good but not excellent, with the exception of the duck breast (it was exquisite and well balanced). We ordered pork loin, but the flavor was lacking inside the meat. We also ordered lamb in risotto, the lamb was delicious but the overall plate was too busy with too many textures and flavors that distracted the focus of the main entree (the lamb). For dessert, we'll never have had creme brûlée with nuts on top, and although it was of chocolate, there was no flames custard on top (kind of defeated the purpose of calling it creme brûlée. The tapioca budding, well that was a mistake that I ended up returning. It really tasted close to grits with a bit of sugar, mango slices and peanuts on top. Well to say the least CONFUSING. In overall I would return again and try something else in the menu, the ambiance is nice and inviting to conversation, but not very much impressed with the flavor in some of the dishes. read more

We drove in from Memphis and wanted a local spot with a farm to table approach. Wow! From the moment we walked in the restaurant, the smells, the service and all of the dishes were impeccable with a great approach to prep and flavors. I've recently been put on a Gluten-free diet and the waitress was extremely accommodating on options and flexible sides to ensure the best experience. We were a walk in of two. I had the duck it was seared nicely and the cherry was a nice complement, there mash was a little inconsistent in texture. My wife had the cajun chicken. It was overly seasoned to the point of gritty in texture and not that special. The bar is just a drink bar and does NOT have a cocktail program. I ordered a Negroni and it was undrinkable served in the wrong glass with party ice not clear or even large cube. The bartender obviously did not measure usual speed rail style of free or count pouring and with craft cocktail you cannot free pour it must be measured. I sent the drink back too bad it is just a typical drink bar it could really up its game with proper cocktails. read more

The peach jam on the charcuterie board is the truth! The cornbread just sweet enough, the fried oysters were light and flavorful. We also indulged in the smoked trout, and an unforgettable flavor. Honestly the wedge salad wasn't my favorite. Let's talk about the Porterhouse pork chop, be prepared, you will not be able to stop until it's gone, remember to breathe. The veal had a lovely fruity glaze, but does not hold a candle to the pork chop. Unless your my wife, and then you completely disagree and call me crazy for preferring the pork. An excellent example of fine dining. I was able to easily make my reservation online a few days before our dinner. The hostess took a minute to greet us because she was on the phone but someone behind her gave us a warm smile while we waited. Our sever, who was on his last week, was outstanding. He was very attentive, friendly and patient. We ordered a variety of different food and drinks. Everything came out as ordered, on time and delicious. My mother-in-law special ordered everything about her filet and it came out exactly as she asked. They even butterflied my mother's fillet to get it well done without complaining. My filet was medium and I didn't need a steak knife it was so tender. My husband had the lamb and Is was falling off the bone and delicious. The desserts were great too. read more
