The CJs visited Legends Steakhouse on Saturday afternoon and had great service from our waitress Katrina, she was great, attentive and helpful! And He really enjoyed the baked potato and the hand-breaded chicken tenders were fantastic: perfectly seasoned, tender, and super crispy. The grilled chicken didn't turn out right for me. It felt softly baked at a low temperature rather than grilled, which made the texture rubbery. I didn't want to send it back to get it cooked more well-done, because that's usually ends up the same way or worse but the staff handled it graciously. When I asked to swap for chicken tenders to go, I also got a baked potato to go. However, it came completely undressed with everything separated in small cups. I really don't like that for a baked potato--they should come fully dressed and ready to eat. But this still one of my favorite places in Smyrna! read more

Dinner out with friends We were seated immediately even though half of the party had not arrived. We were given a large booth with ample room for six. Four fit very comfortablely. Once the entire party was seated we received menus and our drink order was taken. The drinks arrived and the specials were explained and our order was taken. Salad bar plates arrived. The salad bar is well-stocked and just the right temperature, cold but not frozen. We had one order a Caesar salad which had not arrived when our entrees arrived. The salad arrived quickly upon inquiry. All the steaks were prepared as ordered and were full of flavor as were the sides. The specials are a great deal. Giving up a side drops the price substantially. Desserts were also generous and very yummy! Tip: Dinner rolls are available by request, if you would like to have rolls just ask. You can add the salad bar to a meal for an upcharge that varies with the entree type. Save room for dessert they are one of the best deals on the menu. They are big enough to share. read more

We ordered the sirloin skillet, mine with Brussel sprouts and my wife's with a loaded sweet potato. They were delicious a perfect medium rare steak with sautéed onions ,peppers, and mushrooms with a bourbon glaze. Our Server Jesse was great he did an excellent job. I was a server for 20 years...ran restaurants and trained other servers. In my day, we took pride in our work because we understood that good service means more money. Over the last 10 years, it has become increasingly harder to find really good servers. In fact, if we go to 10 restaurants, we may get lucky enough to get one great server. Things like making sure to greet the customer within a few minutes of them sitting down so they know you are aware that they are there, getting food and drinks to the table in a timely manner, anticipating the customer's needs and bringing it to them before they have to ask like refills, napkins, condiments...checking on them several times to make sure they have what they need, but not enough to become annoying...these are lost arts in the service industry and it's very sad to see. Melissa H is one of the best servers we have had all year. She did all of the above mentioned and more, and she is very sweet as well. Convenient, yummy steak house this side of town! Super delicious salad bar. NEVER turn it down as a side to an entree. The chicken tenders are delicious. The steaks are amazing. I highly recommend the 6oz. Bourbon sirloin (it's a Friday/Saturday special!). My husband would recommend a bacon wrapped pork filet (special as well). As long as you manage your expectations, this place is great! It's apart of a small chain of restaurants, and there's a lot of good value on their menu, especially if you're having one of their food/drink specials. Our server was attentive and on top of refills. The interior is a little dated, but it made me kind of nostalgic. They have a nice bar while ample seating and plenty of tables in the dining room to accommodate a lot of parties. The food was pretty good, the fries are your typical Sysco fries and the salads are pretty good. The burger patties are hand formed, so that's a major plus. The rolls were great as well, we took out a couple baskets of those! The salad bar didn't look super fresh, but I'm sure if we came at a busier time it would've been in better shape. Overall the food was abundant. The service was slow. We probably sat for 15 minutes before someone came over to take a drink order. However, the drinks came quickly after the order was taken. It did take a while to get food. Salads came out quickly. I will say the blue cheese dressing was probably the thinnest and had absolutely no flavor that I've ever had. That being said, when our steaks arrived they were done per our request. Medium rare, the prime rib was huge. It looked much bigger than 8 oz. I can only eat about a quarter of it. The pros the portions are huge. They do have a salad bar. I didn't see it. I can't make any comments on it. There is an up charge for the salad bar. By the way, the service is probably understaffed. That would be my opinion and the meat was very good. After all you go to a steakhouse for meat. Hence the reason for my four-star review. We're new to Smyrna. My wife insisted Legend's couldn't be so bad and have such a full parking lot. So we went to celebrate a birthday. I ordered a medium-rare steak of the day. I was served an old brown shoe. It was so over-cooked it snapped into pieces when I tried to cut it. I used some table steak sauce to try and revive it. But that steak was deader than dead and could not be saved. I hate having to complain. The place seemed fun and the ambiance was fine. I paid the bill. But I did not eat. We dined here for a family lunch. Our party was a group of 7 so we were seated in bar area. Typical bar ambience, however, not too loud so able to talk. Started with potato skin app. Actually pretty good. Orders included hamburgers, prime rib sandwich, chicken parmigiana, and grill chicken salad. All workable. I want to thank Legends Steakhouse for once again giving a free meal to Veterans on Veteran's Day. While most places only offer a minimal drink or dessert, or a limited menu to Veterans on this day, Legends offers the full menu except NY strip and Filet mignon. We went later for dinner and they were out of ribeyes, but had prime rib which I prefer. My spouse had the hamburger steak. They always have a great fresh salad bar and several sides to choose from. Of course we did have to pay for drinks and dessert. But overall we were comped $57 off an $80 bill. They also had a special cocktail they called the Patriot. I will say the service here is always good and even though they had a very busy day, they were still friendly and efficient. We often eat here when it's not free. read more

I have been to Legends 2 weekends in a row and everything I have eaten has been delicious! Their fruit tea is delicious!! On this meal we started with the spinach Queso dip which was amazing! Whatever seasoning they put on the chips is banging!! Their rolls remind me of Ryan's Buffet Rolls...so soft and buttery!
