Solid five guys!! More of a takeout option though... and there isn't great parking options (most five guys I've been to have a parking lot - but this is in the city). But, yummy as always and great service.

Stopped in on a Sunday afternoon, short wait in line, maybe 10 people eating in. I imagine it's busier during the week, but took about 10 minutes to get my food. Staff were pleasant and helpful. Five Guys is always going to be a bit more expensive than McDonald's etc but I think it's worth it since the burgers are cooked to order and the fries are amazing. There are some reviews stating that this location skimps on the fries. I ordered a regular size and had the same overflowing the cup into the bag mountain of fries that I've gotten at other locations so I will disagree with the other reviewers on that point. The location itself is clean, wide open layout. If you want to sit along the windows you can get a view of Florida Ave and the train/Metro traffic on the overhead bridge if you're into that. It's a very short walk from the Noma-Gallaudet Metro stop across the street from the Courtyard Marriot. All in all it was a solid experience. I'd come back here with no hesitation.

Portions are huge for everything. The little fries is enough for two people. The little bacon cheeseburger is still big enough to fill you especially if you have fries. The regular size bacon cheeseburger will give you heartburn. All toppings are free so get your burger ALL THE WAY (everything in the black) You can get your fries five guys style or Cajun style. If the Cajun seasoning is too excessive for you, ask for the seasoning on the side. Eat peanuts while you wait. Fin.

Stayed at the Courtyard Marriott across the street and when we saw the Five Guys, we knew we had to come and try. Upon entering, you see a big box of unshelled peanuts on the counter (apparently they are free, but I didn't have any). The place is pretty big, but no one was really eating there. We actually took our food back to our hotel room to eat. My friend and I got the "little" bacon cheeseburger along with one order of large Cajun fries. The large order came with soooo many fries! We couldn't even finish half of it. The burger was also pretty good. The burger tasted yummy, above average. This is a good place to eat if you are staying at the hotel. Quick and easy.

Loved the hot dog, plenty of toppings to pile on, and the kids loved the burgers. Also, they have us mountains of French Fries!

My sister in law got the turkey dog and chili with fries and a cup of cheese. My brother got the original spicy chili. We unanimously agreed that the food was delicious. The service was good and the ambiance was fire. They answered our questions and didn't rush us - we felt welcomed. An extra plus is all the space/ seating they gave, the walls full of photos and their accolades and the mural outside. If you're in the area, visit Ben's - especially this location as it's the original.

The photos on the walls? Wow! This original location DC staple has been on my husband's "I gotta do…read morethis" list for years...so on our way to Richmond we took a detour to DC to eat at the World famous Ben's Chili Bowl! What did we have? Why the Original Half Smoke of course! Lucky for us, it was a random weekday and there wasn't a line waiting to get in. Upon entering this diner you can feel the nostalgia, but let's just say the employees aren't the most welcoming (it could have been an off day). The restrooms definitely need a bit more care (at least keep the paper towels restocked), but other than that, the seat yourself eatery wasn't too bad. The link didn't disappoint! The flavor has the perfect combination of seasonings and the chili and onions on top paired perfectly. If this place has been on your list, definitely take the opportunity to support this local business and put a check in the I Did It column!

We tried to order 2 single burgers 2 medium drinks and 1 medium fry the bill was a few cents shy of $50 bucks. I didn't even question this but it's seemed a bit steep. After her participation in a discussion over getting 1 order of fries she added 3 medium fries to our order. The truth is I only picked up on this when they callled out my order number and gave me 3 bags. The addition charge was $20 bucks. If you work behind the counter you should have an idea when the price is wrong. Okay the boss made it right by charging us for only 1 order of fries but the counter girl did also fail to charge us for our drinks so they left those off the bill too. The food was fine and the dining area is clean and overall this isn't a bad place to grab a quick bite. Just keep an eye on the receipt to avoid paying for stuff you didn't order.

I hope this was a case where they were just out of stock rather then not serving them anymore. But I got a cheese burger, fries, and soft drink which came out to $22 (which feels a bit expensive). The burger was really well cooked and the toppings made it taste really good. I love that they have malt vinegar for the fries, and appreciate that they always put an extra scoop of fries in the bag. I know it's a part of their strategy but I can't help but feel giddy.
