I am guilty of ordering from here perhaps too often. I really like the salads and queso! This location can be hit or miss. The make your own salad option allows you to choose multiple options for toppings. But more often than not, you don't actually get those toppings. Same for the dressing and salsa options. And the amount of salad in the bowl varies every time. The kids meals are pretty good deal. But they are always out of milk and only have the apple juice. Always double check your order when you receive it as 98% of the time something is missing. I love Qdoba, but this location can be exhausting with all the order issues. read more

Meh. I hadn't been here in many years but I needed lunch and the line was almost out the door at Chipotle across the street. There were only a few customers in line yet this place managed to be pretty confused and disorganized with most orders. The food itself was okay but nothing special, with portions that definitely seemed on the smaller side (even oddly of lettuce) for nearly $11 for a steak bowl. One plus here is guacamole is included at no extra cost but that scoop is pretty small. My meal was okay I guess albeit overpriced and smallish portions, but I hadn't been here in many years and probably won't come back anytime soon. read more

I was not highly impressed with this restaurant after I got back to my office to try the food, so I think I would go to the chipotle around the corner instead of returning to the qdoba. I think that is partially because of personal preference. The mango salsa tasted nice and fresh but based on overall taste, I do not think I will be back. I ate here 2 times with my family during my vacation trip to Washington DC. It's not great nor bad, it was just OK. The best thing is that they open early even during weekends. My kids enjoyed it more than I did and I'm just thankful that they were open early morning on the weekend as there aren't many places to eat around here. read more

I was extremely underwhelmed by the flavors and options. This was my first time eating at Qdoba and I expected it to be more on par with Chipotle or Moe's Mexican Grill. The staff here were super nice and this is a criticism against the chain's flavors and options. Just, when you can go to chipotle a couple doors down why wouldn't you ? It just didn't compare. I entered at about seven. I observed two women in their work outfits cleaning. I stood waiting because in respect to them they were cleaning and I wanted to give them time to do so. But then the time for my service became longer, as if they were ignoring me. So I asked "are you open?" The manager finally acknowledged me and said "yeah." And then went back to what she was doing, which was cleaning. And then the second lady looked over, stared and went back to what she was doing, which was cleaning and ignoring me. I just nodded and left. I'm not sure if it was racism towards black men/people or if they had a bad day but I went there for years; not anymore. I will never recommend anyone to go there. Not even my worst enemy. Very very very unprofessional and low class. It's sad how people act in spite of all the great things that are happening in all of our lives. I forgive and forget. But they as workers should be fired. They are affecting the businesses money. And also...chipotle is just across the street. I'd recommend that over this. read more

Food deserves three stars, and the staff deserve none. The food is edible, and cheap for downtown D.C. However, the tip jar should be for customers with the way you are treated by the staff when you come in here. The tables are dirty and machines are not clean. I normally don't mind Qdoba but this location needs A LOT of work. After seeing that Qdoba unveiled the impossible meat I was excited to stop in. Once I arrived it appeared there was someone training but no one in charge of training her. This employee was NOT ready to make orders on her own. It took so long- I was in line for ten minutes and there was only one person ordering a bowl in front of me. The food itself was pretty mediocre. There's no rhythm or reason to the portions. The veggies were all different sizes which means they weren't cooked evenly (this also effected the corn salsa). The impossible meat should be seasoned to reflect the fact you're eating Mexican. It honestly tasted like they cooked the burger and then chopped it up. It should also be noted that the impossible scope is SO small. There is no way it was worth $8.99, I love the impossible burger but I wouldn't get this again. The restaurant was very dirty. Trash cans over flowing. Tables hadn't been washed. Nats flying around the booths. I won't be back to this location and with all of the restaurants near by I recommend you find somewhere else to eat. read more

Oh my God...Qdoba's food is so delicious!!! I tried their seasonal plate and I have no remorse. All ingredients were perfectly added. The service is outstanding. Let me start off my saying I was pleasantly surprised by the taste of my burrito. Unlike Chipotle they sport the spicy chicken option which I indulged in. I thoroughly enjoyed every bite of my burrito and they definitely have some minor differences worth exploring. I would recommend people of all taste buds to stop by and try out this place. read more

Absolutely delicious and such great service! The workers knew everything by heart and they made the food quick and accurate. You can taste how fresh the peppers are since they still snap when you bite them unlike chipotle's soggy peppers. Fantastic food and great options. Something for everyone! We were in town for an event and every place we went into was packed and I saw QDOBA and instantly got excited! I wanted to try this place since I saw it online! The line moved so fast and they got us ordered and paid up in less than 10 minutes. Even though they were packed, they came out and cleaned up the tables for everyone to have a place to sit in between customers coming and going. They deserve a raise for sure! Back on track for my 100 reviews or less series, now onto a favorite, Qdoba. I visited this Qdoba in downtown DC on Thursday, 7/5. I had a first date for an outdoor movie showing at the Navy Memorial very close to here. This woman ended up being a disaster on our 3rd date, but that's another story, and arguably the worst date of 2018 (certainly in the Top 3). But our first date was pretty good. We were initially going with &pizza. I had gotten over there pretty early for our date. The &pizza was cramped as it was very small in there with no seats. I went to an &pizza a while back and thought it was pretty good, but I realized they weren't a good value compared with Mod pizza and others for what you got. My date found me in the souvenir shop next door, and we discussed, and she agreed that she didn't like how small the &pizza was. I looked on Yelp and saw another pizza place a couple of blocks away, but it was closed. So, we ended up going to the Qdoba. I got my usual, the bowl...either steak or chicken. Qdoba is great because you can get queso & guacamole for no extra charge. Chipotle will nickel & dime you for that stuff. And frankly, while Chipotle is tasty, Qdoba is even better. The staff was average on friendliness. My date liked her tacos. My only issue with this location was that it was warm in there; almost as warm as the 90 F outside, but overall, still a positive experience. read more

I have been eating here for years. Sadly it has gone very down hill. I am a member of the loyalty program and order on line through the app. The last two times I arrived to pick up my food, the order was taped to the wall (so they were aware of it) and they hadn't started it yet. Both times, I chalked it up to a bad day even though it wasn't at busy times of the day and the store wasn't busy, so I waited for them to make my order. Today, I ordered a full 25 minutes before I arrived and again they hadn't started my order. Then they ignored me when I asked about it and continued helping people who had just walked into the store. Qdoba - If you don't want orders from the app then shut the feature off. I guarantee Qdoba won't get the chance to do that to me again. There are plenty of other places that are much better. I come here because you get a great value for the price that you pay. On Tuesdays and Saturdays, entrees are only $5 for students (additional $1 for steak). How can you beat that?! I've eaten at this place for years. Their burritos are comparable to those at their rival across the street.. at Chipotle. There's a lady manager here who is TERRIFIC. LOVE her and her kind nature. BUT there's ANOTHER manager.. I was there on a Saturday at 11 am. They had NOT turned on the Ice Tea dispenser. Usually when the other manager is there, she turns it on.. no problem. BUT this other guy? Not only did he CHARGE ME FIRST for the iced tea (and I specified it with my order) BUT HE REFUSED TO ISSUE A REFUND. I'm diabetic.. so other drink options were not possible. GROSS seating area, trash overflowing out of trash cans and onto the floor and ALL of the tables were dirty, covered in food. The staff didn't care at all, they chatted with each other when there was no one in line, rather than making the seating area even slightly presentable. The staff were also rude an unhelpful. Someone I was with inquired about what the vegetarian protein was, and they had no idea what he was talking about, even though it was clearly on the menu. I bought a brownie and was surprised at the cost because the sign said something different, but they told me that was the price for the cookies, not brownies. Then put two different prices on the sign! I gave this two stars instead of one because the food was average for a Qdoba. Everything about this place is a disaster. They've blocked off one of two restrooms and there's a long line for the one available. The toilet flush is so loud and can be heard by everyone in the restaurant who isn't legally deaf. While I was there kind of late--around 9:30pm--they were still quite busy and should have been better prepared. I ordered two teas, and they had no tea. Then I thought I'd get lemonade--that was out too. When we finally sat down--with drinks we didn't want--the table was the most wobbly table I've ever seen in a restaurant. I've been to Qdoba many times in many locations. Today was the first time I had been for breakfast and that it what this review will be about. I came to work early today and left home without eating breakfast. I was going to get something from the work cafeteria but then I saw the sign for Qdoba talking about their egg, potato, queso, meat burrito and I knew that is what I wanted. I walked in there was a very short line and I asked for "the breakfast scrambler" as I'm pretty sure that's what the sign said. Well, the lady had no idea what I was talking about so I just asked for a breakfast burrito and that was fine. The service was super quick and I went down the line asking for egg, potato, no meat (too early to eat meat in the morning for me) queso, pico de gallo and a little more cheese (I really don't like cheese that much, but I was tired and in need of nourishment!). I got the hefty little burrito in my to-go bag, paid and was on my way in less than 8 minutes probably! Burrito breakdown! The food: I found it really tasty. The eggs were cooked well and not hard, the potatoes were cooked well, the queso was fine, the pico was great, the extra cheese got lost in all of the other ingredients, but that's fine. It was filling and tasty and definitely a good breakfast choice for a long day. The value: My little burrito friend was a mere $2.45 including tax! Take that! The experience: muy rapido. They move you down that line as fast as possible! Would I return?: If I need a supercharged breakfast or have a craving for Qdoba. Visiting from out of town and wanted something close to our hotel. The burrito bowls were amazing.

Solid lunch option, especially since now the guac and cheese are freeeeeeee 99! Rice bowls, taco salads, soft and hard tacos, quesadillas and more! When I'm here I do miss the tofu/sofritas option that Chipotle offers. Fast paced environment. TIP: Lunch gets crazy crowded. If looking to dine in, come with a friend so that one can reserve seating and the other goes for the orders. Service is great, polite servers that greet you. I do not like that romaine lettuce is the only lettuce option for the taco salads. read more

Line moves super quick! Some might find this to be a bad thing. I know I did when I first went here; they try to rush you through, but it makes sense, they don't want the line to get out of hand. If it's your first time, be forewarned that you will probably be rushed if you go during lunch, so make up your mind ahead of time, and if you think the service is rude, it's just that they're trying to be expedient. Probably one of the best values in and around the area for lunch. Taco salad with chicken runs me $6.89 with tax, and significantly more filling than alternate options in and around the area. It's a block closer to my work than Chipotle, but the real reason I go is for how quick the line moves. read more

This place doesnt have a fix menu. You can customize 80% of the food you eat and the price is the same as the one from fast food restaurants like Mcdonald. I ordered a soup bowl with steaks. Apparently, it is a bowl full of food and with sauce pourred over it. Overall, this place is great for a filling meal. read more

I love Qdoba. I always have and when they shut down the only one for hundreds of miles from my hometown I was so bummed. Well here in the DMV there are plenty of Qdobas. I think Qdoba is my favorite of these tex-mex burrito joints. Great queso, better than Moe's or Chipotle. Great chips. Chicken nachos are my go to. They now have spicy queso which is quite spicy but is very good. Also offer your other options like burritos and nachos. I believe the pricing is based on meat. The nachos are messy, you'll want a fork, but it's a great portion for about $8-9, which is a great price for this area full of office high-rises. Sure beats eating cold Pret a Manger wraps and salads from Au Bon Pain. Those are built-up in the area like dang Starbucks. Location is very convenient for office workers in the area. If I was driving it'd be a bit more of a pain but there is street parking around. I've been here twice now and service was reasonably friendly just like the Chinatown location I go out more often. It can't be easy to keep good customer service in DC when so many of your customers are entitled, power-hungry special snowflakes. Just saying. read more

Made a reservation for a large group for 6:00 on Saturday night (1/21), told that we needed to be there by 6:00 sharp because they had another reservation group coming in after us, and that we could not stay past 6:45. All of that was fine with us. When we arrived before 6:00, we saw a full restaurant with no reserved seating for us. The manager on duty asked how he could possibly have held our reservation for us, wondering aloud to me how he could have told other people that they couldn't serve them. I didn't bother to refer to the Seinfeld episode in which he explains to a car rental agency manager, "See, you know how to take the reservation, you just don't know how to *hold* the reservation and that's really the most important part of the reservation, the holding. In Qdoba's defense, I got a whole wheat burrito with brown rice, so it was doomed from the start. I can't quite put my finger on it, but something was missing. All of the ingredients seemed fine, but it didn't take me there. The cashier is a master saleswoman because when she rung up my burrito, she asked, "the burrito...that's it?" I replied, "yes, that's it." A few moments later, she said, "You don't want no drink or nuffin??" This Jedi mind trick made me question everything as I know it. Was I some sort of freak or weirdo for wanting a burrito and nothing else? The pressure became insurmountable, so I splurged and ordered a drink. I was pleased to see that they had mango/passion-fruit iced tea and I couldn't wait to basque in this tropical explosion of flavor. I take a sip and there's no sugar. I got played. A panhandler came right into the restaurant asking people for money while they were eating. Any time the beggars have that level of comfort, you know you're experiencing low class eating at it's finest. +1 for not charging extra for any ingredients. read more
