Fantastic as usual. Got carry out of burgers and fries. I got the regular all the way burger. It was hot and loaded. Enjoyed the fries from the peanut oil. Definitely continues to be on our rotation list. Service was fast and efficient.

Your average five guys. Went with the bacon burger all the way toppings. Probably should have gotten less toppings because the bottom bun was almost falling apart. Burger is high quality meat especially for fast food. Fries had that real potato taste with a lot of salt. Could have been slightly crispier. Always nice to have peanuts while waiting.

I would sell my soul for five guys. I always crave burgers and this chain consistently proves itself to be one of the best. I have it like every other week and boy if they had a loyalty program I'd be on the top of that list. It's important to note that with (at least) Springfield one it does not matter whether you placed order over the phone or already ordered and paid you'll stand in line for good 10 minutes, but every time it is so worth it. I love this place!

    Skimped on the fries...

My go to burger place really cheated me on the fries in this order. I watched as they generously poured fries for all the orders and thought I'd get the same treatment... I did not. This was a regular size fry... the cup was not even filled. I'm so disappointed, esp. after watching the workers fill the fry bags for other orders generously. I'm so disappointed.

Nice place, nice staff, good food, clean! The staff was constantly cleaning - yay!! I only wish there was an order of fries even smaller than "little". I felt guilty throwing half of them away. Quite possibly these are the best fries ever. The burger was well cooked and tasty. "Just done" so it was still nice and juicy. An assortment of toppings that ensures the perfect burger for all moods. I had cheeseburger with grilled onion, grilled mushroom, tomato, pickle and BBQ sauce. Plenty of parking. Inside seating can be a bit congested with folks waiting but there's plenty of tables inside and out. All is cooked to order so a small wait... but it's well worth it!

    Yummm burger and fries!

We ordered two burgers -- the classic smash burger (lettuce, tomato, mayo, and cheese) and the BBQ bacon burger (grilled onions, bacon, and BBQ sauce) -- along with their famous cheesesteak combo. The cheesesteak came loaded with lettuce, jalapeños, tomato, and steak infused with peppers and onions, topped with Marky's-style cheese, plus seasoned fries and a soda. Everything was absolutely delicious, and I can't recommend this place enough -- especially knowing they're part of our local community. I've walked past this gem so many times without realizing what I was missing! It's tucked away in the Home Depot parking lot on Little River Turnpike, so don't sleep on it. I'll definitely be back to work my way through the entire menu.

The visit was unique, the story is unique and the food is unique! Let's do this! Established in 1950 or 1954 (reports vary but the sign on the building says 1954), Weenie Beenie was a modest hot dog stand serving hot dogs and beans. It was started by two brothers, Carl and Bill Staton. Bill happened to be an incredible and ultimately famous traveling pool player who went by the name... you guessed it... Weenie Beenie! He won 27k in Arkansas (which is a LOT of money in the 1950's) and used the money to finance the hot dog stand's growth! He appeared on television, played hustlers across the country, and backed other hustlers while living the pool and entrepreneur life. During the 50's, a period of entrenched segregation in Virginia, Weenie Beenie distinguished itself by hiring black employees on the same terms as whites when most white‑owned businesses would not hire blacks at all. This made Weenie Beenie a rare example of early workplace integration in Arlington and a meaningful employer within the historically Black Green Valley community. Its reputation for fairness became a very important part of its legacy, remembered along with the food and its very colorful founder. We popped over and found a 70+ year old walk-up stand with a colorful, diverse and engaging set of customers and friendly service. In faded letters on the front wall to the left are the 10 commandments! No breaking any divine rules at Weenie Beenie's! We all chatted and I learned the one guy comes every day! The old man in the suit was very polite and reserved. The younger Latin and black clientele were fun and engaging and we joked around quite a bit. Another older man was as 38-year veteran of the armed service! Thank you sir! I heard some stories... Of course, we ordered half-smokes! They are well-seasoned half-pork, half beef, smoked sausages that are truly incredible. Weenie Beenie's are unique and delicious! Life is good with a historic, unique, fun and respectful half smoke.

This little store on Columbia Pike functions as a German specialty grocer, deli and sandwich counter. Our focus today was the sandwich counter. One important thing to know is there is no seating of any kind. You will be taking your sandwiches to go. (My suggestion: get a few slices of butter kaese at the deli counter and munch on these on the car ride home. Then enjoy your sandwiches in peace at your abode.) They do offer napkins and plastic silverware if needed. The sandwiches are freshly made to order. You take a number and a deli employee will assist you. They have numerous types of bratwurst to choose from. Additionally a number of German cold cuts. We ordered a Nurnberger bratwurst and the Tyrolean hot sandwich. The breads for both were very fresh and the sandwiches tasty. The mustard on the bratwurst was full of good horseradish! The Tyrolean was moist with a good combination of tender meat and sauce. The bread was a nice mild rye - it was a two hander sandwich! We were both full having eaten these delicious sandwiches. The deli employees were all friendly and efficient. Prices were very reasonable. We would definitely return.

Hi everyone, just wanted to leave a review of German Gourmet on Columbia Pike…read more Before I begin, I want to identify what the ingredients are for a classic Reuben. You'll need two slices of seeded or marble rye bread, about six ounces of thinly sliced corned beef or pastrami, two slices of sharp Swiss cheese, roughly a quarter cup of well-drained sauerkraut, and two tablespoons of Russian or Thousand Island dressing. A little butter for toasting the bread and optional spicy brown mustard round it out. That said, what I actually received was the absolute worst Reuben I've ever had in my entire life. They used ham instead of corned beef or pastrami, an insult to the name. The Swiss was bland and low-quality, not sharp at all. There was no mustard, barely any Thousand Island, and I couldn't even detect any sauerkraut. The bread wasn't toasted, and they still charged me $12.50 with tax. If this is what passes for a Reuben at a supposed German delicatessen, save your money and go somewhere that actually knows what they're doing.

Unfortunately, our visit on Saturday, August 1st was very disappointing. The biggest issue was the cleanliness. We waited about 20 minutes just to use the restroom because one bathroom was locked the entire time. After asking an employee to unlock it, we found it in unacceptable condition. The toilet hadn't been flushed, paper towels and toilet paper were scattered all over the floor, the sink was filthy, and it honestly looked like the restroom hadn't been cleaned in a long time. The service also left a lot to be desired. We had to repeat our order three separate times because it kept being entered incorrectly, and the order displayed on the screen still wasn't accurate. After ordering, we waited 15-20 minutes for our food. The dining area wasn't much better. The tables, floors, and overall restaurant were noticeably dirty, our table wobbled the entire meal, and there weren't any forks available when our food was served. However, despite those issues, the food itself was exactly what we've come to expect from Jollibee. Everything was served fresh, hot, and tasted great. That's the main reason we keep coming back. I just hope this location improves its cleanliness and overall customer experience because it has the potential to match the quality of the food it serves.

I had never been to Johnny Mac's before, so I thought, why not, give it a try. The inside is small. No indoor seating except for a counter that runs the length of the storefront. There are a couple sheltered picnic tables to the side. To give Johnny Mac's a whirl, I ordered a simple bacon cheeseburger with default toppings. My conclusion? The Johnny Mac burger is better than one from any of the other fast food establishments along Richmond Hwy: McDonalds, Five Guys, Wendy's, Burger King or Roys. Yes, the price was a li'l steep: $9.35. But the patty was huge; it might have been even approaching 1/2 lb. Also, my order was prepared quickly and the counter service polite. Johnny Mac's uses good sturdy buns. The default burger comes with neatly sliced lettuce, tomato, bacon and a tad of mayo. The toppings were neatly placed on the burger. The meat itself was juicy though probably could have stood more seasoning. But to remedy that, there is a tray on the counter inside the restaurant with about 8 different sauces, including mambo, which you can add to your burger. In addition to traditional hamburger and barbecue options, there are some Latino options. I want to come back and try the Elote (corn in a cup). It looks like you might be able to also get corn on the cob (with cotija cheese and mayo).

There is a counter to place an order, but they also have a self-order kiosk. That likely helps the small kitchen staff out. Waiting for my treat took a while because of a few other orders ahead, but when it came out I got a nicely swirled strawberry ice cream on a cone. The pink trim reminded me of a frozen yogurt spot back home. I enjoyed the ice cream on the picnic benches located outside on the side. There is a standing counter space to eat on inside, but I imagine during busier times between the line to order and the diners it could be crowded. The ice cream seemed to be popular. I saw two other guys leaving with their own tall swirls for the road. Johnny Mac's has a decent array of flavors, so I would come back if I'm back down here.
