My friend ordered cheeseburgers from here to show his appreciation to us for helping him move innhis house. It as actually quite anpleasant surprise as he didn't tell anyone where he got the burgers from, until they were delivered to the house. It's been a minute since I've had a Five Guys burger and they truly are the best burgers on the east coast. For tye most part, they are huge and they add on any of the toppings that you like. The only drawback about ordering from here is that they do not have combo meal pricing. rhat means you will pay the full price for whatever fries and soda drink that you order. It's still worth it though necause their burgers are are of a kind burgers. read more

Your average five guys. Went with the bacon burger all the way toppings. Probably should have gotten less toppings because the bottom bun was almost falling apart. Burger is high quality meat especially for fast food. Fries had that real potato taste with a lot of salt. Could have been slightly crispier. Always nice to have peanuts while waiting. read more

Used to stop in here occasionally. This was once one of my favorite burger places. Yet trends and prices have changed the dynamics plenty. Also being older and more health conscious, I'm less likely to go here for lunch. The parking lot can be an issue, and this certainly is a busy location. I like their employees, but their prices are ridiculous. My last time in here a burger, fries, and soda with nothing extra special was over $20. I can do the same on the grill for $3 to $4. Yes going out will cost more due to suppliers, transportation, employees pay, and other factors. Yet this is a preposterous amount for a burger. Sure the A1 was good on it with lettuce and tomato, but it's not worthy of the price of admission. I will give it a conditional recommendation, but can't say loved with any enthusiasm. read more

I started this review almost a year ago - Jan3, 2021, you know that day it iced like crazy in Northern Virginia and thousands of people were stranded on the 95 freeway for over 24 hours (in some cases) from DC to almost Richmond VA because the ramps and roads weren't treated ... you know, that day! Knowing that is important, because thats the day that I came to this specific 5Guys because NOTHING else was open and our electricity was out and our 85 yr old neighbor had a hankering for a burger and we hooked her up too! So, there I was looking for a place to grab some dinner with my husband and puppy, kids were gone in Puerto Rico with their grandparents (lucky dogs) ! I called around to several places and this 5 Guys was the only place open and the gal that answered offered to take my order over the phone as they were closing in the next 20 minutes. She took my order and I paid over the phone. This 5Guys is not the closest location so we don't typically go to this location, but the burgers were incredible and the soda was so good. I don't drink soda often but I am a sucker for fountain Dr Pepper, its hard to beat it! The sodas were so good! The parking lot was one of the only lots cleared and the sidewalks were cleared and salted. The manager was greeting people, it was quite busy, the store was clean and it was a great atmosphere compared to how crazy everything was outside. Perhaps I was just hungry but it's nice to go to an establishment in not the best conditions and it be a great atmosphere, seeing people treat each other well and the food be consistently great as you always get at a 5 Guys! I would sell my soul for five guys. I always crave burgers and this chain consistently proves itself to be one of the best. I have it like every other week and boy if they had a loyalty program I'd be on the top of that list. It's important to note that with (at least) Springfield one it does not matter whether you placed order over the phone or already ordered and paid you'll stand in line for good 10 minutes, but every time it is so worth it. Worst Five Guys. Always gets my order wrong. Recently I ordered delivery via uber eats. My burger was missing a patty. All the ingredients that I love are "grilled" and they were all undercooked. Fries are supposed to be crispy brown... they were soggy and pale. Who's cooking there right now? 5 guys website is marketed to make it look like they deliver. When in fact it's ratchett doordash. Deceptive bait and switch. I want a choice in delivery options. As a result of using doordash our food was missing. Doordash delivery guy said drinks not on ticket, we showed him, he said call customer service. Spent over an hour on the phone with doordash and five guys. Lost time with my family and ate cold food. Food was disgusting cold. My milkshakes did get refunded but my cold food and family time was stolen. We will take our money somewhere else. read more

My go to burger place really cheated me on the fries in this order. I watched as they generously poured fries for all the orders and thought I'd get the same treatment... I did not. Nice place, nice staff, good food, clean! The staff was constantly cleaning - yay!! I only wish there was an order of fries even smaller than "little". I felt guilty throwing half of them away. Quite possibly these are the best fries ever. The burger was well cooked and tasty. "Just done" so it was still nice and juicy. An assortment of toppings that ensures the perfect burger for all moods. I had cheeseburger with grilled onion, grilled mushroom, tomato, pickle and BBQ sauce. Plenty of parking. Inside seating can be a bit congested with folks waiting but there's plenty of tables inside and out. All is cooked to order so a small wait... but it's well worth it! read more

Well I made a mistake, after giving this store one store, I decided to give them another chance. What a mistake. This store is SO SLOW at service. I know they messed up a ton of orders, as I saw patrons come up to the counter, asking for corrections to their orders. My order was accurate but it took forever to get my food. I ordered on my mobile app. I arrived 20 mins after I made my mobile app order, and I waited another 15 mins to receive my food. Unfortunately there isnt another Five Guys near me so I guess I will start going to BGR Burgers, Burger Shack, or other establishments as this Five Guys isnt worth the wait. read more

Burgers and fries are so good. You can decide what toppings you want in your burger and there are a lot of toppings and sauces to pick from. They have lettuce, tomatoes, grilled onions, grilled mushrooms, pickles, A1 sauce, jalapeños, green peppers, and so much more. I always get A1sauce and jalapeños because it tastes so much better with it. The jalapeños are spicy, but it's worth it for the flavor. They have amazing fries. You can get vinegar on it which makes it tastes so delicious. They give you a massive serving size of fries, so the smallest size is definitely enough! The fries are crispy and seasoned perfectly. You can walk in and get a container of peanuts as you wait for your food and this Five Guys location had an outdoor sitting area, which was nice. read more

I've had good experiences here- their portions are huge and the price can't be beat for the amount of toppings you can get with their burgers. The small fries portions come heaped into the bag, with extra fried overflowing the cup. It's pretty standard with this company, so expect to have a ton of fries filling up your bag. I find the fries to be soggier at times because of the way they cook them but they are still a much better flavor and deal than going to your standard fast food drive through. I've also ordered their veggie burger (as they state on their menu it's not a veggie patty but a bun without a patty and any of the toppings you want instead). Honestly it's a great substitute for someone who wants to skip the beef- it gives you that flavor of a burger without having to eat the heavy meat. Will definitely keep coming back here. read more

I want to commend the team of employees working tonight. They had a huge crowd with minimal staff. The wait was long, but the order was correct and the service was great. The Manager on staff tonight was awesome, polite, and did her best to encourage her team. The other people waiting on their orders were awesome too...everyone seemed to be very patient. One suggestion would be to increase the wait time on mobile orders so you don't get so many people waiting for their food at once. If short staffed cancel mobile orders altogether? The manager that I dealt with was horrible. I tried to explain about the online order and it's not in the order. He has strong indian accent, tried not to listen and incredibly rude. And he told me that I should come back tomorrow to solve this. If Five guys company cares about their business, they need to create the customer service 101 class ASAP for these kind of people. The service here is terrible! They seriously have some incompetent people that work at this location and it all revolves around management. I placed an online order in around 11am, this is right after they opened for business. When I arrived to pickup my order around 11:30am the manager (young Hispanic lady) said, we're making your fries right now it'll take about 3mins. There was an African lady working the fry area and it looked as if it was her first day working there. They weren't busy at all being that they just opened and there were about 3-4 customers in the restaurant. 15 mins. Later I decided to ask the manager is my order ready? The manager gave me a puzzled look wondering why I'm still here. She says nothing goes over to the fry area, grabs a small cup and fills it and throws it in the bag then hands it to me. I asked her, why did you pack me a small fry when I ordered a large fry? She looked at the ticket and then realized I was right and then said, oh I need to make more fries. She then dropped the fries in the fryer and then I thought, oh hell no!!! I'm not waiting another minute! I was so frustrated at this point I just decided to get a refund and left their business. This location needs a new manager or the staff needs to be retrained on how to make fries. The manager could've at least apologized for what had happened but didn't... This is for 6541 Backlick Rd Springfield, VA. The fries here are consistently terrible. Lukewarm from the heater lamp, limp, still have a raw potato taste, greasy. Five Guys fries used to be a treat, not anymore. Fries have a crispy exterior and creamy center. These are grease warmed potato strings. They royally messed up on my order. I ordered 1 little cheese burger with ketchup only and 1 bacon cheese burger with specific toppings. But instead they give me two hamburgers with onion pickles mustard and ketchup.... Totally not what I ordered. The new staff here sucks. I'll never come back to this specific location ever again. I placed an order via Google a couple weeks ago and everything was cooked to perfection. Five Guys never disappoints, as I have yet to encounter a bad experience at any of their locations. *Fingers crossed* My only gripe is I had to wait almost ten minutes once I arrived because they cook your food when you arrive. Stopped in here while my Impreza was in the shop for a new battery. Overall, just like any other Five Guys. I did notice, however, the fries tasted better than many other venues I've been to. The only downside, the food took them almost 20 minutes to prepare, while it was fairly slow, and the ketchup dispensers were completely empty/broken. I never go to a Five Guys due to fast food sticker shock but I was on vacation and decided to step outside my norm. So I had a bacon cheeseburger, Cajun fries and a drink for $18. That sinking feeling that could have had a really nice meal for that much hit me. But their soda fountain was open so I started out happy. My food showed up and the bag was stuffed with French fries to the point I had to work at extracting my burger. The fries were good but I'd never be able to eat a bite of my burger if I tried to eat my way to it. Once I got to it my bun was not holding up to the massive contents. It hit me I had enough food in front of me for 2-3 people but where was I going to find someone who shared the same tastes in toppings to split it with? To be fair, the only burger I've ever had that was better I made at home. It was delicious.
