Haven't been to a five guys in awhile... today I went with my family because my brother was in town. The employees greeted us as we walked in, very friendly, very clean as well. When it was slow the employees would clean the tables and be productive. The food was yummy aka the burger. I was not a fan of the fries at all. It was sad because they have so many fries which is fantastic but In this case I was crap. Because they were soooooooooo salty. Like they were dipped in the great salt lake. It almost felt like I was being punished by having to eat want felt like salty thin rectangles. the burger was super good which was refreshing. The sodas were not good. They use the syrup machine that mixes it for ya. It just does not do a good job mixing. My biggest complaint is too much salt on the fries and the soda machine needs to be better. The entire group of 7 people Complained about the funky taste. I would still come back it's still yummy. read more

I just picked up a take out order from 5 Guys and it was the most satisfying meal. $16 bucks and I got real potato fries, real meat for my burger,"all the way" (iykyk) and a small soda. A ton of fries,hot, crispy and fresh. Yep,ate them all. Fresh! Hot!! Crispy! Walking in, I'm greeted by a big hello and I ordered a "small" If you've not been here before it's a single patty... I had it all the way and it was delicious and satisfying. The price is on par with the fast food ally down the street but you're getting real food.. On my out a nice young lady said goodbye. I love a good hamburger/cheeseburger, especially when accompanied by very good French fries! So, I am happy to review 5-Guys! I think they offer the best quality hamburger anywhere and ample very good toppings! Sadly, they offer only American cheese. However, their loaded cheeseburger is excellent! My complaint with their French fries is not with the quality or taste! But, they are often cut very short, not to my liking. However, I recently learned, if requested, they will attempt to serve longer ones. They use Idaho russets, which are procured directly from southern Idaho potato farmers! Amazing! My husband and I were divided as to food cravings so he went to Jimmy John's a few doors down while I ordered from here and took my food over there to eat with him. We shared my (huge) bacon cheeseburger (delicious) which was made exactly as I ordered! I ordered fries as well but asked for the spice on the side-I like plain-husband likes spicy. They gave me twice the amount of fries for the price of one large, separating them by putting half in the bottom of the bag and the rest in a cup (so thoughtful, generous and kind). Anyway, needless to say the Jimmy John sandwich ended up to go! Can't beat a freshly cooked, burger whatever way you want it, real potato fries with or without Cajun seasoning, piping hot and served with a smile... I was not quite ready for the price tag...almost 60 bucks for three burgers, a small fry, two soft drinks and two shakes. Sure, it was tasty, but I was caught off guard by the price. The burger was my favorite part-double patties, cooked to order. We each had special requests (no onion, no mayo, etc.) and everything came out just as we asked. The fries were also good, a small size was plenty to share with the three of us. What was disappointing was the chocolate shake. It was incredibly runny and tasted like someone poured a bit too much Hersey's syrup into the machine. It was definitely not the shining star attraction that the burger and fries were. I would also encourage staff to make rounds throughout the restaurant more often to clean tables. I noticed four tables that were all dirty, and while we were dining in, I never saw anyone come around to wipe them down. For the gourmet price, I'd expect the place to be spic and span. read more

This is probably my favorite location of any fast food restaurant. These guys seem to know their returning customers and make sure to go above and beyond with their service. It really feels like if I'm having a bad day, they make sure to change that and I always leave happy. Yeah their stuff is a bit pricey, but worth it to come into this location. If you order online, bring something to do in the parking lot! I ordered and it said it would be ready in 8 minutes. Then they ask you to click a link that tells them you're on your way and they ask permission to track your location all so that the food will be ready right when you get there. When I got there I called, they called out to the kitchen that I was there, and I waited. After awhile the people in the car next to me asked me if this long wait was normal. We each went inside and got no apology and no explanation for what was taking so long. It ended up being ready 25 minutes after they said it would. read more

Ok, here's the deal. This is the closest Five Guys to our current home. We've had positive experiences at other Five Guys. So, this review isn't about Five Guys as a brand, but about this specific location. We have been to this location twice. We have placed both orders ahead of time via their website and it still took them longer than expected to fulfill our order (going by the website's receipt). Most recently our order somehow got lost/never got printed and we ended up waiting almost an hour at the restaurant for an order of 1 burger and 1 fries. We ordered online. When our food didn't come at the time the order ticket said it would be done, the hubs went inside to check on things. He told them his name and said it was an online order and they said, "Ok, it should be out in a little bit." After waiting about 15 mins and no order, the hubs spoke to another employee and gave his name and order and the guy took a quick glance through the receipts and said "it'll be out in about 15 mins." After about 30 mins, the hubs went *again* to the counter and asked if the order had been lost. It turned out the order had never been printed! Our order was for 1 burger and 1 order of fries. It took about 10 mins after the order was printed that we got our food. Mistakes happen. But poor customer service doesn't just happen. We weren't offered any kind of discount for waiting almost an hour for 1 burger and 1 fries. It was a very, very frustrating evening (compounded by the fact we had a very grumpy baby in the vehicle). I don't like leaving negative reviews. (My momma taught me that if you don't have something nice to say, don't say anything at all.) But this experience's poor customer service overshadowed the decent burger and seasoned fries we ordered. I am not interested in going to this location again until I read that some things change. (And if you have a positive experience of ordering via their website and the food being ready at the time it says, please post, because I've seen other reviews mention the delay in ordering ahead.) read more

I've had multiple bad experiences here from rude employees to wrong orders. But today really pushed me a litttttttle too far, so I had to leave a review. IMHO, today's event took this establishment from a 2.5/5 to a solid 1/5 stars. And that's being generous. Here's how today went: I drove 13 minutes to this five guys. I ordered 2 milkshakes and paid with my credit card. I sat down at a table and waited for the milkshakes. They call my order. The milkshakes are done. The man making them, sat them on the counter in front of me and said "I couldn't add the whipped cream because we don't have lids." Me, confused: "You don't have lids?" "It's my general managers fault. We're out of napkins and other stuff too" "Ok, ummm well that'll be tough to take home in the car then..." I proceed to unwrap straws and put them into each of the milkshakes. After some awkwardness, he said "would you like a refund" I, frustrated that I'm being handed milky ice cream filled to the brim without a lid or the whipped cream I asked for, "Yeah, that would be nice. Thank you." This mf employee literally grabbed my milkshakes off of the counter and dropped them into the trash can. BRO- you have no right to throw away the milkshakes that I just paid for??? You asked if I wanted a refund, not them thrown in the trash in front of me.... I was appreciative for the refund to compensate the inconvenience. It's pretty obvious why lol. But to throw them away??? I expected I could still enjoy them despite the major inconvenience of lacking lids in the car lol. So then he hands me over 11.89 in cash and coins. I paid with a credit card. Rude lol. Why not refund it to my credit card. That's how it works in 2022 lol. So, I drove 13 minutes home trying to sort through in my head how this actually happened. It would've been nice to at least get a sip of my milkshake before it was thrown in the trash without consent. Or to maybe even be able to have drank some of it in the restaurant before I had to drive home. But again, we went home empty handed. I drive 13 minutes home and I didn't even get to drink the milkshakes that I paid for and really wanted to drink. Lol. These employees need to seriously learn some etiquette. Or be fired. I'm in awe of the lack of common sense or common courtesy. I hope corporate five guys sees this. Because I could cancel them with this review. That's how horrendous this experience was. Lol So, 1/5. Five Guys has good burgers. Their mobile ordering system is nonsense and pointless. It makes no sense to place your order 10 minutes beforehand, arrive at the restaurant and then receive your food after someone who was ordering in-person when you arrived. This has happened to me multiple times since using mobile ordering at this Five Guys location. I feel like I always arrive when my food is supposed to be ready and then wait 10 minutes while they "cook the fries." I'm getting my food to-go, the temperature of my fries is irrelevant because I will be driving back home. If I needed burning hot fries I would heat up my own oil at home and cook my fries there. The fries aren't even that good at any temperature. I would rather have my food when I ordered it than have fries 10 seconds out of the peanut oil. I don't care how hot the fries are read more

I love this place. There are cheaper burgers around but 5 Guys is so worth it. I do t know if any other place that can provide the burger/fry magic that 5 Guys can. The Riverton location is always clean and the staff is very friendly. I always have them add the A1 steak sauce. It is a mashed up gooey goodness. Buyer beware: the Hamburger is a double. Don't feel like less of a man ordering the Little Hamburger. If there is a point of criticism I have is that they are inconsistent with the amount of fries they provide. Sometimes we order a large and they gave exactly what will fit in the cup the offer. Other times we get double that in the bag. About a month ago I had Five Guys for the first time when my sister brought it home, and now I am absolutely OBSESSED. Today I went to pick up an order that my mom had placed online, and after they brought out one shake (she told me she had ordered two) I called her and she realized she added extra Oreos, not an extra Oreo shake My server was so kind and understanding, and I ended up adding fries to my order too and he didn't hesitate to help! When he brought out the shakes I asked for his name and he said Silas (I hope I spelt it right). He deserves a RAISE. He was so happy to help and had an extremely positive attitude! I will be eating here again, probably within the next few day's. I definitely go way too much but I would rather have Five Guys than one boyfriend ;P read more

Three and a Half Stars. Hubby and I had a hot, meaty threesome here last night. Well, we actually got the threesome to-go, but still. See, Hubby had been seeing Five Guys on the side for a while before he included me. So, then I guess, technically it was a sevensome...? Oh sure, I had tried Five Guys, once, back in college (a.k.a. when Sandy location first opened). But never since. It felt a little unfamiliar at first, but Five Guys were there to ease any doubts. We took home a Regular Cheeseburger and a Little Cheeseburger both loaded and sloppy with a slew of customized toppings (jalapenos!), one order of regular scratch-style puny'ish skin-on fries (because one order can easily satisfy the fry needs of at least four), and a few containers from the AYCC (all you can carry) self-serve fry sauce/ketchup station. Once we got home, things were hot, and got really messy pretty quick. Everything was tasty, and we revelled in the sheer pleasure of the meat nestled within the buns, and everything that came along with it. Later, as I cuddled next to Hubby, in my best Adrienne Barbeaux voice, I muttered a satisfied "We'll have to do that again sometime." Was it the best burger experience I've had? Oh-ho-ho-HO-No. Was it notably different or special somehow, from all the other standard burgers? Nope, not really. Other than, perhaps their choice of free toppings. We've visited this location multiple times over the years. It's not exactly cheap in comparison to other burger spots; however, they rope us back in none the less. Their bacon is one of the best, and as far as a I know, it is the only chain that offers fresh jalapeños as a topping. Always delicious wherever the location. This place has it dialed. Staff was delightful, patient and helpful. They even noticed our superhero t-shirts and gave us a huge compliment. The restaurant was clean enough, they seem to have a difficult time keeping the tables wiped off. I did not use the bathrooms on this visit. Ordered 5 burgers prepared various ways (cheese, bacon & lettuce-wrapped, double with bacon, with mushrooms only, and just a plain burger), 2 large fries and drinks all around. Totaled $52, approximately $10/person. Hamburgers were cooked well and the fresh cut French fries are always a treat. Food was prepared in a timely manner. Five Guys burgers kick butt and are way better than most of the fast food competition. I have not had any issues at this location. I love burgers & 5 Guys does a good one. Big servings are kind of their thing, so know that a "little cheeseburger" as they call them, is a pretty decent 1/3rd pound regular size burger at any other place, and their regular cheeseburger is double that. All burgers come with free toppings, so feel free to load up with as many as you want from their pretty extensive topping list. (And they do load them up - these are tall burgers!) I'm a fan of their fries though I agree sometimes they do come out a tad soft. You can ask for well-cooked though & they'll do it! They offer regular fries & cajun flavored - the cajun is just a tad too much for me, so I stick to my regular fries, well done. We take advantage of calling in our order for take-out and cutting the wait time inside down, it can get pretty busy & will only get busier with other stuff opening up in the same area pretty soon! read more

I feel like I'm the last person to try Five Guys. So yesterday, I finally gave it a shot and after that one visit, I realize that despite all the time that has passed, it appears I haven't been missing out on much. For a Little Bacon Cheese Burger, Little Fries and a Little soda, I paid a not-so-little $11! Seems a bit pricey to me. I did get bang for my buck with the burger as it was substantial (I can only image what the regular size burger looks like!), the ingredients were fresh, the fries were fresh and local, and I'll give it to all Five of the Guys, the fountain drinks were a great mix which I can appreciate as an avid Diet Coke drinker, but the price just seemed a bit steep for a burger joint. I didn't love the ambiance. The restaurant was loud. I mean, the music was blaring. Everything in the kitchen seemed to be on high volume and the yelling among the workers just made for an unpleasant experience. Why do they need to yell that I just ordered a single? Doesn't the order monitor indicate this? As for the fries, I'm biased towards crispy, skinny fries so these thicker steak fries weren't my fave. I did appreciate that they were locally sourced though and that they gave an generous amount. Overall, I didn't love my experience and with In n Out just across the street at a much lower price, I would take their delicious menu any day. read more

Since my first visit to Five Guys in NC, I have always been a fan. The food at this location does not disappoint. They have a simple menu and they do it well. Parking for this location can get interesting. They are next to Jimmy Johns, and between the two they can load up the lot easily during lunch and dinner rushes. I suggest sticking with the burgers and original five guys fries. Their topping choices are almost too much...so I usually just get their normal "all the way" toppings and love it. The cajun fries are good, but the flavor gets to be too much quickly. I love that they have fry sauce. The Grilled cheese is OK i guess... choose your toppings wisely. I was not a fan of the hot dog, but I can see how you can customize it and be happy. Service has always been good. Staff was upbeat all the times we have gone.
