As burgers places go, this place is way better than In n Out. The fries are fresh and they list the place that they came from on the wall ...and they have potato bags piled up as you enter. I really like the atmosphere of this place. I always get the burger wrapped in lettuce with tomatoes and mushrooms. It's a bit messy but worth it, since I don't eat flour. My husband and daughter like the burgers. He got the bacon cheeseburger and gives it 4 stars. She got a little cheeseburger and couldn't finish it. Very filling.

I'm going to break tradition with my normal review format because I honestly don't have a lot to say here. To date, I haven't preferred to review any place that is a large chain (for a few reasons). That said, I had never been to Five Guys before and so thought to try it as a "quick burger lunch" as most people seemed to speak highly of it. The hamburger has a notable, nice charred taste to it. Looking online now, I see that they use non-frozen patties and cook them well done so for me this warrants points to them as I value both of those things. I ordered a hamburger with grilled jalapeños, grilled mushrooms, mustard, mayonnaise, and lettuce and believe it or not, this was the most tasteless hamburger I may have ever eaten. I think what it comes down to is that the patty is COMPLETELY unseasoned (or very much seems to be). It simply tastes like plain hamburger meat...no salt even. Okay, so that may not necessarily be a bad thing for all but it certainly took me aback because it was notably tasteless (aka unseasoned). The hamburger is of a good portion size and filled me up well. I didn't realize the "regular" hamburger had two patties. I ordered a small size of Cajun fries. That turned out to be more than enough as the burger nearly filled me up completely. I don't know what seasoning is used but paprika seems to the predominant one and it was pretty much overpowering. My wife had the regular fries and we both agreed that too much salt was used on those. The interior is nice, clean, with red and white covering most of the aesthetic presence. Interestingly, there are actually free peanuts you can shell and eat while you wait for your food. That's a nice touch. All in all, I'm not against going back but I think In N' Out will get preferential treatment. In summary, Five Guys for me is best encapsulated by, "under-seasoned hamburger, over-seasoned fries." ...okay, maybe I did have a lot to say.

Do you see any bacon in my little BACON cheeseburger?
    José S.

Ordered a little bacon cheeseburger to take home. To my surprise, I took the burger out of its bag and realized that it simply did not have bacon. How could someone possible forget the main ingredient in a burger called "little BACON cheeseburger"? I would understand if it was something else, but this proofs that it must have been done purposely. I am highly disappointed. If I'm paying extra for bacon, I need to see it in my burger; otherwise, this is simply called stealing.

The food is great and the soda fountains have so many sodas. Also the Cajun fries are SO GOOD. Service is great and we live near one.

Wow what a disappointment! Most of our order was incorrect. I would not recommend this location. The other locations are far more superior.

I used to be a regular here, specifically for the Hot Italian sub. Recently, corporate decided to discontinue it. It's an absurd policy considering they still have every single ingredient to make it sitting right there on the prep line, so I initially left a 1-star review on Google out of frustration. Almost immediately, a local manager left me a personalized voicemail. He told me the refusal was just a "pricing miscommunication" and explicitly promised that the store would continue to make the sandwich for me. Thinking this was a stellar example of a local business looking out for its regulars, I happily bumped my review up to 5 stars. It was a complete bait-and-switch. The exact same day I changed my rating, I received an email from an executive at Laguna Capital Partners completely contradicting the voicemail, stating they actually would not make the sub. I replied directly, attached the audio file of their own manager's voicemail, and asked for a simple "yes or no" clarification so I wouldn't waste my time driving down there. They completely ghosted me. They deployed a manager to make false promises to a regular customer purely to artificially inflate their metrics, and then hid behind corporate policy the second they got the 5-star rating they wanted. I explicitly told them I didn't want the free coupons they tried to throw at me--I just wanted to purchase my favorite sandwich. If you value businesses with integrity that actually care about the Cottonwood Heights community, take your money to a different sub shop.

The French toast is thick slices and cooked to perfection. We had under 20 people so the 25 piece order was more than enough. They gave plenty of napkins, utensils, serving utensils, strawberries, a big serving of the caramel syrup (yum!) and whipped cream to match the order. Tip: if you're picking up your order, I'd suggest to make the pickup time 15-20 min ahead of your actual needed time. In my reservation, I put 445pm pickup time but they weren't ready until 5pm. It wasn't a problem though because I didn't need to be out of there until 515pm. Overall, great food that is perfect for catering! (I forgot to take pics of our order but I did snag a few of their other desserts)
