I got the chicken club yesterday and I have to say I am a fan of Slim Chickens however, I got food poisoning and was sick all through the night and through the morning. I haven't had food poisoning since a Christmas party back in 2005. So as you can imagine my stomach is pretty strong and my immune system is stronger. Ok!! Normally I don't review fast food or even really eat fast food. But my son was craving a chicken sandwich. Here we are at slum chickens. Not bad chicken was juicy and tasted great. My biggest complaint about this joint is the price of a sandwich. I mean for 3 sandwiches fries, two sides and a soda it was over 40.00. This is why I don't fast food. If I'm going to spend almost 50.00 I might as well do it and a better spot. Not sure if I'll be back, but I must say the sandwiches were great and the service was awesome as well. Was excited to find this place in a new area the chicken tenders came out lukewarm. My brother's wings came out cold. He told them that and they made a new batch only to also be cold. Unfortunately got the headache and glue in my eyes. Which means MSG, I am woefully super sensitive to monosodium glutamate. Strawberry cheesecake in a jar was excellent that is why the 3 stars. I waited to try Slim Chickens for a few weeks. When places first open, they can be a bit chaotic while they work out the kinks. In fact, a couple weeks ago I made an attempt and the drive through line was backed up and the parking lot full. Today, it was much more reasonable, so I went in. We were immediately greeted by a friendly face and cheerful eyes. (I'd like to say "cheerful smile" but the mask covered that up. I could see here eyes. They were cheerful.) I let her know that we were first timers and she gave us a couple suggestions. I ordered the chicken sandwich and my son got the chicken fingers. He was given the option of two sauces-and there was a long list of options. Boringly, he chose BBQ for both...didn't even venture to try something exciting. Who's kid is this? We got our drink cups and a table number. After locating a table (every other one closed to enforce social distancing), we waited only a few minutes before our food was delivered. Everything was warm and fresh. The chicken fingers were given two thumbs up from the discriminating palate of the teen. (That's actually not an exaggeration-he's a picky eater and does prefer the finer things when it comes to food.) The fries had a nice seasoning on them-not too much and not too salty. Just right. Goldilocks would approve. Service was fantastic! There were several staff members actively cleaning the place-disinfecting tables, ensuring the floors were clean, etc. Knowing that they take pride in cleanliness makes me more comfortable dining in during these weird Covid times. While we were eating, one of the staff members came to check on us, then she cleared our table as she saw we were wrapping up. It's these little touches that make the experience that much better. One final comment-although everything tasted great and was fresh, it didn't sit well with my stomach. Not to say anything was wrong with the food-I actually have this same reaction to Chik Fil A's chicken. I'll be back, but I might try a different menu item to see if it sits any better. read more

The sandwich came with a fried chicken breast cayenne ranch sauce, pickles & fried onion straws on top . The sandwich was really good . The chicken is all white meat . It needed more sauce I couldn't taste it . We also got Korean BBQ wings . These were not good at all they were cold & tough. The skin on the wings was soft like they had been sitting for awhile. Not bad! I've been anticipating this place for quite awhile, and wanted to try it opening week but it was PACKED and the drive thru lines were way too long to justify it. I finally went today, a monday, around 7pm and the drive thru was short and quick. The odd thing with the drive thru was that it wasn't who was there first/ at the window to get their order first. We were the fourth in line from the window, and saw the third person get their order, then the seventh person in line, then the first person, then us! The second person in line got their food after everyone else behind them. Maybe they got a big order? Not sure, but the food came out really fast so I was pleased. We got the cayenne ranch chicken with regular fries. The chicken was juicy, which we appreciated, but the entire sandwich got soggy during our short ride home. The fries were good! YUM. This is going to be dangerous having this place in such close proximity to my kids' school. I've been anxiously awaiting Raising Canes to be built by the district, so when this opened I had to try it. Absolutely loved it. Tenders are legit, I love the fact that their toast doesn't have sesame seeds on it like the aforementioned competitor (I'm allergic) and they have a more varied menu, but still simple enough. There are so many chicken places now in this area it's getting kinda hard to keep track of them all. Slim Chickens was fine, we got the Tennesee hot chicken sandwhich and a chicken strip basket and sauce pack of 5. The food was average and fine for fast food, but I prefer the other chicken shops around the area. The strips were on the drier/chewier side and weren't totally dialed but fine. My husband thought his hot chicken sandwhich was fine but not memorable or great by any means. We weren't a fan of any of the sauces, honey mustard, blue cheese, garlic parm, siracha, mango, and another hot one and they were all meh. The fries and toast were fine and about what you'd expect from fast food. The shakes (oreo and strawberry) were pretty bad, more of a milk shake style which we're not into because they're naturally just not very cold or flavorful. I will say in my personal opinion chick-fil-a still wins in the fast food chicken category and just can't be compared. I also think Canes has it dialed a little more than this place but if you're in the area and want a variety of fast food chicken options this place was fine for that. read more

First time using the drive thru.. and they failed. Waited over 30 minutes in line, only to arrive home to find they put my shaken siracha garlic on both sandwiches! Usually love coming here but this last time I think will be my last. Ordered the Smokey Cheddar Wrap and it honestly was more tortilla than anything else. We have come back to Slim Chickens time and time again. I am so glad they are close to where we live! Husband and I truly enjoy the chicken tenders so so much. I can't believe there are any negative reviews. I don't usually like chicken tenders. Like, I NEVER order chicken tenders. And Slim Chickens converted me!! The tendies are juicy and not at all dry. The pieces are generously sized. The sauces that are worth trying are the bbq varieties, sweet chili, and honey mustard. Tonight we got some sides for the first time. The Mac n cheese is some of the best I've ever had! Sometimes the drive thru can be a little bit of a wait and the milkshake is not worth it for how plain it is. But those are my only critiques. We ordered our food at 6:55 and were given our order at 7:05 so the service was fairly quick granted we ordered our chicken fingers and fries extra crispy. We tried four different sauces; garlic Parmesan, spicy BBQ, cayanne ranch, and regular ranch. All of the sauces were delicious, especially the Cayenne ranch and the Spicy BBQ. The temperature of the restaurant was very cold. They had the AC set at a very low temperature. This is common with fast food, restaurants and efforts to get customers in and out quickly overall, it's really hard to mess up chicken fingers and fries but it's also very hard to master chicken fingers and fries. We wouldn't say Slim chickens has mastered chicken fingers and fries, but we would say that they have done a very good job today. read more

This is quite literally the worst chicken place in Utah...or maybe anywhere. I cannot believe how bad it was. Save yourself a lot of $$$$ and get some frozen tenders or wings at the grocery store because I guarantee they're 100% BETTER than here. We had 8 wing meal which was a complete rip off for $13. Tiniest wings I've ever seen in my life. One drumstick was literally as big as my thumb. The weren't crispy. They were soggy and inedible. Also they were room temp. We also shared the 5 tender meal. $10 they tasted rubbery and stringy. Like they're been microwaved to death. No crispness. And the ranch sauces were soooooo salty they were also inedible.
