Best burger I've ever had!!! I eat here before every Aces game I attend and grab some peanuts on the way out for the game.

Burger was good fries okay. Would chose over the Sparks Fudruckers as it is a better value but In-n-Out still is king for me at nearly 1/2 the price. read more

I have eaten there 3x in the last 6 wks. The crew is highly motivated, clean, and the burger I would have taken a picture but the evidence has been devoured. The fries are the best I have had. apparently it's too hard to build a burger when you're being paid to do it. two of my items were wrong. i wasn't too upset about the hot dog, but i received a patty and cheese instead of the burger that i ordered, which had grilled onions, bacon, and barbecue sauce on it. i drove back to get the burger that i paid for for the second time and they asked me for the receipt to prove it and then proceeded to tell me that they could give me a side of onions and bacon in return. not even barbecue sauce. and not even the slightest of thoughts of just giving me the correct item that i paid for. so not only did i get my food made incorrectly but after having to drive all the way back to get the correct item, i had to build my own burger, and it wasn't even correct. last time i spend upwards of 10 for a single piece of meat and a slice of fake cheese. would have given more stars if they had handled the situation with customer service instead of pretty much telling me to suck it up :) read more

Clearly, this new restaurant chain is profit motivated, why else, would they cram tables so close together, one could hardly move. Why else, would they allow twice the number of the listed occupancy throught the front door. If there had been a fire during their grand opening, people would have been trampled. After giving your order, there was a sea of humanity, in front of the dring fountains. The burgers are good, french fries ok and the hot dogs, well, I can't say. I ordered a hot dog with bacon and cheese but got a burger with bacon and cheese. I'm sure things will settle down and the crowds will be less and if you order a hot dog, you may actually get one. read more

I have eaten at Five Guys in Philadelphia, NYC, Orem UT, Phoenix, (several locations in the big cities), several other and now Reno. My favorite part is the fries, all labeled with the farm from which they came (almost always in Idaho). They have figured out the secret of good fries. Really, I don't think I have ever eaten fries because they were so tasty and so well done, but I do at Five Guys. One thing that surprises me is the uniformity of the burgers and fries in all the different locations in which I have eaten. That can't be that easy - even Burger King and McDonald's differ depending on the location. Unfortunately, I am on a low-carb diet now, so no more fries, but perhaps burgers w/o buns. Not quite as nice, but still a tasty experience. If you like straight-up food, good taste, consistent quality, realistic pricing, and you like it the same all the time, then Five Guys is for you. Not since the 60's, when Bob's Big Boy was around, have I enjoyed a really good burger! I went around 6 pm Sunday evening and got the order to go. I enjoyed watching the 'team' cooking. The young woman who took my order was extremely helpful. I had just spent several hours shopping and every where I went, the employees in those stores acted as if they were annoyed with any questions I had before my purchase; the woman @ 5 guys was a total reversal. She acted as if she enjoyed every customer who came through the door. I sat and watched the employees interact with each other and it was excellent team work. I left feeling uplifted and once I tasted the burger.........my day was saved. I walked in grumpy and discouraged with what customer service has become and walked out encouraged! (p.s. to poster Scott H: 'for the life of you' I gave them 5 stars! We all have different tastes just happen to disagree with your short list......) & Your Welcome too! read more

The Burgers and fries are good. It was a little prices for fast food. I liked the cool soda machines with a variety of flavors.

If you are into greasy but great hamburgers made just the way you like. This is the place for you. My whole family can order most toppings fresh or sauteed for no extra charge. Love the fries regular or cajun. read more

29 dollars for two burgers, 2 fries and 2 drinks; no table service, plastic forks and knives a greasy bag and a few 2oz. plastic containers of condiments. Taking the bag back to the table and unloading the haul to your dining mate is the first of many greasy chores you'll experience at this, "best bang for your buck" eatery. We opted for lettuce wrapped burgers. We get the same thing at In and Out a couple miles away for half the price, and a far easier consumable product. The staff was pleasant while ordering, but throughout the time we were in there they were yelling some unintelligible ordering cues among themselves. I get that it's trying to be kitschy, but it came across poorly. Quality wise, I believe it would be hard to discern this burger from a similarly dressed burger at In and Out, or other middle tier fast food burger place. Albeit at a price similar to somewhere like Red Robin. This restaurant will be crossed off the burger possibilities list. read more

The shouting and yelling was terrible . Not only could we not hear to order but we had to sit and have our burgers with all the yelling and not able to have a conversation. Who does this appeal to. Not me . Not a great place for a meal!! read more

I will change my review when this issue gets fixed. I have tried to use discover at this location on 2 separate occasions and both times the card is declined. However I called discover to see if there was a freeze on my account but no. There wasn't even any indication that they had tried it at 5 guys. Something is wrong with the machine and it's very inconvenient. read more

My mom and I went here once, and really didn't like it, because she went to order two cheeseburgers that have all of the free things that they put on the burgers, and my mom order two that way, with one-1- having no mushrooms. Apparently, who was taking our order didn't hear what she said because it's so loud in there that we really couldn't tell if it was from the music, other customers, or just how loud everyone in the kitchen was, but it was really loud that I would have rather gone somewhere else. So, we ended up with a burger that had none of the free things that they put on it, and one that did but didn't have the mushrooms. The one thing that was worse was that the fries in the paper cup, that they call large and put in a paper bag and the fries in the cups just fall out of the cups, because cups weren't made to be what fries go in. The bag was so greasy from the fries, that I couldn't believe that any other fries from McDonald's, Burger King or Juicy's would have been better and these places put their fries in containers that are meant to hold fries. I didn't like that the hamburger was so fully cooked, that when I went to eat my burger, it tasted like a version of hamburger helper that I could have made a lot better than they did. The only upside to here, for me, is the Coke machine that they have, where you can pick your soda, and if you want it to have a flavor to it. I think that they should have a door open or not have the music loud or not talk so loud to each other, so that the person taking people's orders can hear what the customers want more than the other noises that are going on in the restaurant, because the customers could not be happy with what they end up with from what the person taking the order hears as to what the customer originally orders in the begging. Any one who wants a really great burger should go to Juicy's and know that they will get what they order more than here. read more

Diana was so rude to me. Beyond rude. My first time there and we weren't greeted, she seemed annoyed when she asked "well do I need to explain it to you?" That I said "no" and my friend explained. She snatched our cards out of our hand, didn't tell us our total and when she handed us the card and receipt she almost threw it and walked off. I work in the service industry too and her behavior was completely unacceptable. Won't be back. The food wasn't good enough to put up with that crap. read more

Tried Five Guys. All meat cooked well done. Who wants their meat well done? Dry and overcooked on a flat cooker. No flame here. Condiments applied so lightly it's imperceptible. First time I have had Five Guys since eating at one in Virginia a couple of years ago. Best fast food burger in the industry (sorry IN-N OUT). Super quick service even when packed. Had the regular cheeseburger with grilled onions and mayo. Lots of toppings to choose from. If your not too hungry get the small single patty burger alot bigger than the description. Did not try the fries on this visit. Crazy Coke dispensing machine. Only quibble is no shakes. Manager walked the dining room checking on all the customers. Nice touch. Moreover, this place does a great job at advertising the alternatives to most peoples' fears when it comes to fast food restaurants (no freezers, no preservatives, fries cooked in 100% peanut oil, etc.). Not impressed. It's like a really bad In N Out, in everyway. Burger was super small and tasteless. Fries were just ok. My husband and I both had a small cheeseburger, his with bacon, we split a fry and each had a soda and it was well over $20. That's outrageous. I don't mind paying a little more if it's worth it. In this case it's not. Lots of good burger places in Reno. It's going to be hard on them to compete. It's noisy and seating sucks. No body cleaning tables. Won't be back. read more

This is a place that you try once to see what's going on.... and you'll never return. The ingredients are fresh but the atmosphere was odd. The employees that had just gotten off work sat next to us and we're very loud, yelling at each other from across the restaurant. This was the best burger I have ever had in Reno I have ever had. Noisy as heck, so I had to go outside, but I came here for the burger, not to read a book or meditate. I usually like to have a shake with my burger (a la In-N-out), but it's silly to complain about something they don't sell. I had a burger and fries here last week. The topping choices are plentiful, and the patty was plenty meaty. The fries were passable, but a bit soggy and greasy. Nothing I would crave. The staff was friendly and quick and seemed to be having fun. The coke machine with all of the choices was definitely cool, as are the peanuts to eat while I waited. The biggest problem and the reason for the two-star review was the bun on the burger. It wasn't grilled, so it ended up being very soggy and didn't hold together well. It was almost like they just opened a bag of buns and slapped my burger on it. Maybe that's what they do. Also it had a weird sweet taste that didn't go well with the burger. I just don't get the excitement over this place. I've eaten at Five Guys in three or four cities, and it's just a chain burger outlet--better than the worst, worse than the best and more expensive than most. Ordering is always a hassle because you have to answer half a dozen questions (I know, "broad range of choices," but it's just a hamburger), and the place is so damn noisy I'm sure it's deliberate: we're so cool and exciting in here that YOU CAN'T HEAR YOURSELF THINK!
