I like these burgers because they do taste fresh and I haven't come across a piece of bone or gristle in their patties like I do at the big chains. Quite a bargain a Five Guys, although I've been there a few times, I've never just seen 5 guys behind the counter -- It's usually 4 guys and 2 gals, or 7 guys and 1 gal. They do a lot of yelling in the open-kitchen concept. 1 Guy: "Door!" 1 Gal: "Got it!" 1 Gal: "One Patty!" The other thing I totally dig about this burger joint is they use FRESH jalapeños all sliced up and griddled (if you request Jalapeños). This fact alone makes me a fan. For the product you get to the price you pay, this place is a ripoff. the manager when asked if he believed that he offered value in his food said no that is not what his customers come for. Overall if you go here you will get a good burger, bad service, bad fries and an overall bad value for your money. If you don't believe this review go in get overcharged and walk out feeling like you could have gotten better for much less money. First thing, this place is LOUD. I know this is not a fancy schmancy restaurant but seriously.....between the music, the yelling, and just the sheer number of people in the place my b/f and I could not hear each other. Not terribly enjoyable ambiance wise. I had the junior burger with onions, mushrooms, cheese, lettuce, jalapenos, and mustard. They waaaaay over did the mustard, made my burger hard to eat. After scraping off some of the mustard I enjoyed my burger. I like that they had fresh jalapenos instead of pickled. That's a plus! I like their friers better than Mooyah's too. They make a good burger- the way YOU want it. It can be a bit challenging to get everything on it that you want, but the meat is quality and the ingredients are fresh. I'd give them a much higher rating if there weren't SOOO many burgers in the metro-mess. The fries go a long way. a LONG way- one small order will cover my entire family- no kidding. The burgers are delicious, and if you can't find a topping combination that you like, you're really in trouble. And the Cajun fries are spectacular! Burgers are good, and so are the milkshakes, if they existed. Too bad they don't! I went there and I took a 20 minute survey that was on my receipt and for my menu items I saw there was a milkshake. After seeing Mad Max with my dad we decided to catch up over some burgers at Five Guys Burgers and Fries. Pretty good, not too loud, fairly busy, nice service, except for the employee who started cleaning the floors and sweeping at 9 PM, (they don't close till 10). He was moving the tables very loudly, like he was trying to get us to leave. I turned around and said "we're trying to eat, and if he could please do that later, that would be great. Thanks." He responded with "okay." No apology, just, "okay." Their burgers are good and their fries are better, they also have a lot of drink options. Food was very good. However, restaurant was way too warm and was dirty. A couple times the workers came out from behind the counter to give a couple tables a quick swipe, but floor stayed dirty, looking as if it had not been swept or mopped in days. When my wife and I arrived, we both commented that FGBaF reminded us a little of Fat Daddy's back in Raleigh, NC, sans a fixin's bar. We both like Fat Daddy's so we were hoping for the best. My wife ordered the little cheeseburger (still plenty for her) while I ordered a regular bacon cheeseburger. We split a regular order of fries (the guy literally dumped the massive order in the bag!) and washed them down with two fountain drinks. The total was exactly $19.00. Not cheap, but not as expensive as Jay's Fine Burgers in Allen. Pros: THE FRIES RULE! I love fresh cut, skin-on fries. Huge portions, well seasoned and HOT. Also served were complementary peanuts while you waited for your order, and the made to order burgers had no hidden charges for any toppings (including grilled mushrooms and onions). Service was fast and friendly. Cons: Very loud environment, thin meat patties that are overcooked (I still prefer thick patties), all orders served in bags (no trays), no "combo deals". While not my first choice for a burger, FGBaF ranks high enough for a return trip once the shiny wears off as well as anytime I am jonesing for a massive order of fresh cut, skin-on fires. 3 stars. read more

I have heard about Five Guys for quite a while, and have been driving by the location in Plano daily since they opened, but only recently given them a try. Overall I thought Five Guys is good. The burger I had tasted good, and was plenty juicy, and the toppings they include are great. The Cajun fries were great, and the portion was huge. My wife and I had a regular order and didn't come close finishing them. They get 3 stars from me because I did think they were a bit overpriced, and in the big picture I don't think they stand out that much from Mooyah or Whataburger. In my opinion I think they're just as good and are a bit cheaper. If we're in that area and want a burger I'll gladly go back, but I don't think I would make a special trip just to eat there. read more

However the conversations occurring between employees in the kitchen was highly inappropriate and offensive. There was a variety of expletives being passed back and forth which made our dining experience uncomfortable. My fiancé and I are major fans of this place. We are regulars who come in and have a great time. We know the girls by name and they are the nicest girls ever! The burgers are fantastic and fries as well. We are treated like family here. Jason the former manager was awesome and Anna is fantastic as well. When you treat people with a little respect it takes you a long way...... We have seen people throw their peanut shells on the floor like pigs while these girls are sweeping, and cleaning up, simply disrespectful and just plain RUDE. On Sunday 9/20/2015 the employees at this location had completely given up on trying at all. I have been going to this location for at least a year and having lunch on Sundays with my family. The last couple of trips the place has seemed unorganized, out of stock, dirty and just not the same place - Today was off the charts as far as rudeness and a visible bad attitude go. AND - no one was trying at all - it took them 55 minutes to get our order ready simply because they did not want to get anyone's order ready. They were cooking and calling the orders ONE at a time. Seriously, they would slowly fill an order before they would start the next one. Causing long delays on purpose. Do yourself a favor and go eat anywhere else other than this 5 guys location. All the toppings are free!! (Except, you know, the good ones like bacon and cheese). Who else puts grilled onions and grilled mushrooms on their "All The Way" list? Wall decor was all about bragging, so that is one of the two places they lost a star for me. The other was the fries. I know, I know, they have a zillion reviews on the wall about how wonderful the fries are. You can even check by the front door Where your fries came from that day (who cares??) and you can see the stacks of bags of potatoes in the dining room (like Mooya). But if you don't cook them properly or long enough, all that doesn't matter!! I was craving a good burger after work so I logged onto the website and used the online order feature---very handy. I was able to pick all my toppings and paid online. They don't drop the fries for your order until you pick up, which kind of stinks but ensures fresh fries. I don't know if it is new, but it is new to me, they now have little versions of their fries. I got the little cajun size and their were very good. My order was ready when I requested and the fries took about 5 minutes to cook. Burger was good as usual, wish there was more seasoning on the patty (I wonder if you could request cajun seasoning in the shop) but it was juicy and hit the spot. This has been a favorite burger stop for us for years, both in California and in Texas. Unfortunately, based on my last two visits, it is doubtful we'll return. Using the app, I ordered lunch for my family. As the directions stated, when I got to the restaurant, I told the cashier I was here, and she checked that my order was in the queue. I sat in the dining area awaiting my name. 25 minutes later, I went up to the counter to see what the hold up was. Apparently there was no delay, my order was just sitting there, as it had been for a while. Now I just had to wait for them to make the fries. No explanation as to why they didn't call my name, just a "sorry about that" when my food was finally ready. Oh, then I was told next time I need to tell the pickup counter I'm there. Sure! This location just opened and I thought I would drop in for lunch. A cheesburger, small fries and small drink was $10.80. Pretty expensive but the servings are large. I'm a big guy and I thru food away. I'm not a big fan of having to pay for large servings and having it wasted. I noticed almost all of the serving bags going in the trash contained left over food. The burger itself was ok but very greasy. Add that to greasy fries and I felt like I had been soaked in grease by the time I left. For a quick lunch buger I don't believe this is a good value, any number of the burger fast food places serve a more appropriate portion of food. As a high end (high price) burger shop I also can't recommend this over twisted root or even Fuddrucker's. Also whom ever laid out the seating in this location packed the place with chairs and tables so much that no one can sit back to back and you certainly can't walk between the rows. read more

I really enjoyed my burger, it probably needed a little salt, but it was very tasty. The fries were good, but I couldn't eat them all.. I was stuffed from my huge burger!
