I'm a BIG KID! I had to try the new GRINCH holiday meal. I must say I was truly impressed. The GRINCH meal concept gets 5 STARS! Now I usually visit this same location. It's close to my home and usually my food comes out hot and made well. On this day it was not the case. I was not happy and feeling GRINCHY! The burger was cold and my cheese wasn't melted. The fries were warm. So my food gets 2.5 STARS. I did a drive thru order and only live 5 minutes away. Most times I'm back home eating hot food. Next time I will check my order before I pull off or eat it there. Now the grinch salt is AMAZING! It's a pickle taste and really yummy on the French Fries. The shaker bag for the fries is fun and festive. The socks are a cute bonus. I like that I can get a bottled water instead of soda. Service was decent and hey it's McDonald's so the ambiance is fast paced. I will be back to get at least one more Grinch meal. The experience is really FUN! McDonald's doesn't truly need reviews on food, we all know McDonalds very well. This review is solely based on location. Being one of I think three locations in Allen, unfortunately this location is in need of so much improvement. Why do I continue to visit this location, convenience, do I regret it each time, yes. Always ask for no salt on the fries, always get salted fries. Drinks are never made properly and the drive thru line is 0/10. Today one drive thru line was moving as the other line wasn't being helped. The person "behind the scenes" was only addressing one line, 4 cars were helped before I decided to get out of line and go in for my order. Even then the chaos inside was worse. The owners of this location really need to reorganize this establishment. read more

My wife went to pick up our order (placed on the mobile app) and they claimed they didn't have it. I went back later, with my phone showing the order confirmation (#JL32). The first employee I spoke to was very polite, trying to help, but could not find my order. We called the manager over, and she immediately presented a hostile attitude. I was "guilty until proven innocent". I showed her the order confirmation on my phone. She wasn't having it. She then showed me several lines of obscure code on her screen, which she claimed proved my order was not received. She told me I could pay for it and they would give it to me. I explained that wasn't an options as I already paid for the order. After much back and forth, she eventually gave me my order, which I believe she should have done at the outset. read more

I ordered the food at drive-through, the guy at drive through did not hear me clearly, and he did not tell me that he did not get the order. When I came to the first window, he asked what did I order? And I said I'd like to order two ice-cream cones, and then moment of silence, we do not serve ice-cream right now, that was what he told me. I parked my car at the curb and went in to order at the counter and finally got the ice-creams. That guy definitely needs more training, no respect at all. read more

If I could I would give this McDonald zero stars. I've given this location multiple chances, but the customer service--both at the drive-thru and from the manager on duty--has been consistently disappointing. The staff often seem uninterested in providing good service, and it's frustrating to pay for food while also dealing with rude attitudes. On more than one occasion, my order has been wrong, and when I point it out, there's no apology or acknowledgment of the mistake. Sadly, I now choose to drive to another McDonald's farther away just to avoid these repeated issues. This location truly needs improvement in both service and professionalism. read more

Jump forward to Yelp reviews 2023,and I've noticed a number of you including Gloria and Mary, routinely get File O Fish. So,being the open minded,upstanding American that I am, decided to utilize that truly American invention ( the drive thru) and snatch a Filet O Fish. I kinda knew what to expect but .. I primarily get breakfast items at this location and it's always perfect. Occasionally over the years I've also grabbed my Annual Big Mac to satisfy. So,as much as possible I figured ( Texas term) this was he location to try a FOF Sammie. On the outset I've gotta say,the fries were a disappointment . Just not fresh which is surprising since the drive thru was busy. No way to start my first Filet O Fish meal. The sandwich itself was a fried piece of Pollock on a soft toasted bun with a piece of American cheese and a dab of tarter sauce. Not good,not bad,not a reorder for me. This location had the BTS promo poster in the window, but when we went in to ask about it, the manager told us they only had the BTS bag and dipping sauces. And yes, they are charging FULL PRICE for the BTS meal. The hype is misleading and McDonalds corporate needs to fix this! Quite disappointed with my service at this location. I have been here multiple times and every time I go, either they forget something or the food is cold. In the mornings, they are much better - the staff are usually more friendly and they are more likely to get the order right and fresh. Would try to avoid this McDonald's as much as possible, otherwise make sure to request hot fries and to check that you have your entire order before you go. read more

This location is hands-down THE worst McDonald's in all of Collin County. They just do not CARE. The employees do not care because the managers don't care. Maybe the managers don't care because the owners don't care. The only reason this place's doors are still swinging is because it sits on the corner of a busy intersection right at I75 and McDermott. Foolish repeat customers like us who go here out of laziness or half-desperation deserve what we get, which are Filet o'Fish that have been left under the heat lamp way past their allotted time limit, so that they are hard, dry, and the cheese resembles orange plastic and there is a film over the blob of tartar sauce on the fish. Fries cold and soggy. Chicken McNuggets cold. Sauces requested wrong. No ketchup. No straws. No napkins. Ordered a caramel sundae and got a hot fudge sundae with what tasted like burned hot fudge. This location is fairly consistent Monday thru Friday. But weekends are a problem. This past Sat & Sun, the coffee was fairly gross- burnt tasting with a ton of coffee grounds in the bottom of the cup. Is it because it's mostly teenagers who work the weekend? I don't know. The older woman at the register took the prev customers order just fine, then come my turn she goes "Kiosk is open sir!" as she's in the middle of walking off. They practically throw your food at you when it's ready. i was doordashing tonight and i have never completed a mcdonald's order before. when i walk up to collect my order, the worker immediately catches an attitude with me and demands the order number. i was confused as i didn't see an order number, only a name. the receipt on the bag matched my order. the worker then proceeds to take the bag from me and ignore me while i am trying to collect my order. he says word for word "you're going to get paid anyways" no, i'm not if i can't get the order. i was doordashing for another person who was upset at me that their order is late. i understand we all have a job to do accordingly, but whoever was your the night manager with an orange vest on 10/16/2023 does not deserve a job. to immediately argue with me about an order number is ridiculous. i apologize for my harsh behavior towards this worker after he refused me service. to top the night off, i got a message from doordash stating the customers were missing a side of fries and a full meal. good job guys, you really did horribly. read more

Ordinarily, I'd say "you know, it's McDonalds", but this location, as well as several others, are run by a local franchisee (O'Reilly), and they tend to run a pretty sound ship. The exterior of the building (of which I'm most familiar, being a lazy drive-thru customer) is always clean and well kept, and the service is always super friendly and even super-er fast. In the mornings, I could usually stop at the pay window and just let my car coast past the food window and grab it as I go, since it's almost always ready by the time I get there. Plus, the drive thru is open 24 hours on the weekend if you need that late night fix. This is really a pretty good location for a chain that can vary widely. read more
