This place is pretty delicious for a fast food restaurant. Their salsa Verde is just the right amount of spicy and flavorful and it's one of few places where you feel like you're getting genuine, authentic Mexican food. I have gotten their street corn bowl as well as their grilled chicken avocado bowl and both were delicious. Only giving four stars because they have messed up my order a couple of times. But I think that's just due to some communication barriers. We will definitely be coming back . read more

The signature fire-grilled chicken is always moist, tender, and packed with smoky flavor straight off the open flame. Unlike greasy fried options, it feels light and fresh. Paired with warm tortillas and their fantastic salsas, it makes for a top-tier meal. The staff were so nice. The nice cold atmosphere was perfect for the warm chicken. read more

El Pollo Loco - Chicken - Fast Food Near Me - Allen, Texas

Ordered a small side of corn. It was on the ticket and charged at $5.49. The lid on my chicken bowl was not correctly attached so the container was covered in juice. There is no function in the APP to allow for extra of any component to be requested. read more

It had been awhile since the last time I ate at El Pollo Loco and I know they had some new items so I ordered Dinner from them last Night. I got the Double Chicken Tostada Salad with Creamy Cilantro dressing as a meal so I got chips and a large Coca Cola with it. Also I ordered the new Salsa Verde Quesadilla, BRC Burrito and the two pack of Churros. I have been a huge fan of the Salad for many years even when I was living in California for my whole life until three years ago. It is super delicious even though the size of the tostada and salad has shrunk sadly. I did not get the Creamy Cilantro dressing with my salad so I used dressing I had at home. One section of the tostada shell was mushy but the rest of it seemed fine. I really liked the Salsa Verde Quesadilla and it was a little spicy for anyone who decides to try this out. Another favorite item of mine has been the BRC Burrito and it was good but that item has also shrunk in size from when I first started getting it at El Pollo Loco. Overall it was a good experience and I hope to order from here soon. read more

Chicken was very juicy and delicious. Service was quick and easy. Store was clean. Great dinner!

I just ordered a 2 PC meal with rice, salad, two types of salsa, which i did not get the salsa fresco, or the corn tortilla. The manager handed me the bag, this place used to be so much better, has gone downhill. read more

Very happy I can get el pollo loco in Texas and that there are multiple local locations now. Good food for a great price to feed a family or multiple people. Ideal for a healthier takeout option. read more

Ok.... So after many years, apparently I'd forgotten how terrible this location was because I went for dinner here smh. Easy order, 3 piece dark meat with charro beans and rice oh but,,,, they had no rice, GO FIGURE! They are ALWAYS out of something here! I settled for their pasty mashed potatoes & oh so hospital cafeteria tasting gravy. The beans smelled so bad we had to toss the whole container out! I can honestly say, without a shadow of a doubt that I will never waste my time or money at this place again. read more

Went to visit this location the other day and i ordered the "Queso Crunch Burrito Bowl". While waiting for my order i got my drink only to find out there were no straws at the drink station so i went up to the counter and stood there for about 5 minutes before someone finally decided to help me and give me a straw. that's not the worst part. we finally received our food and it didn't come how it was supposed to so i asked an employee if there was supposed to be queso on my "Queso burrito bowl" and he just stood there and said "uhhh im not sure" and then went to the counter and stood there with about 6 of his employees just confused and dumbfounded on how to answer my question. Moral of the story don't waste your time you'd be better off going to Taco bell or something. read more

Great food! Love the grilled chicken combo. Perfect with side salad and Mac and cheese. Your choice of corn or flour tortilla. Great atmosphere and great management. read more

Service is horrible. It's like no one has any idea how to do anything. They can't work the cash register, don't know the menu, can't figure anything out and always get order wrong. And a lot of times a group of workers is just standing around in the back talking. When we got the right food it was good but they need a LOT of training. We've been there 4 times. Not sure I'll go back until they work out the staff issues. read more

Paid $8 for a two piece very small pieces, wish they would have a menu that would focus on healthy options the current one doesn't break it down for you. No paper towels in bathroom, urinal was dirty. read more

Food is fresh and inexpensive compared to other fast food places. If you're looking for more protein or low fat items you should be able to find something. Lastly, anytime Ive walked in, the tables are clean. read more

Good chicken, good sides, friendly folks. The rewards program is a plus. Easy location to get in and out of.

Great chicken tortilla soup! Double pollo salad combo was really good and a fantastic deal!

My first time at a El Pollo Loco...isn't that crazy? Not in a cooking mood as of late. Maybe the 100+ temps have something to do with it. I think I need a break from cooking also. So,I'm continuously looking for affordable options that don't always include french fries. Also,I've been hankering for flavorful grilled chicken. My four stars are for the chicken. It is exactly what I was looking for. Grilled not fried, moist and flavorful. Good. Also, the side options are great and include broccoli cooked al dente which was a pleasant surprise. The mashed potatoes, also a tasty surprise. At less than $12 I got the 1/2 chicken meal to go. Your choice and I chose breasts and wings. The meal included Two sides and tortillas. 2 flour and 2 corn which were ok. Overall I was happy with their offering and felt like it was a healthier offering compared with my usual fried chicken go to. I'll be back and I think you should.... Go! read more

Man..... so glad I stopped here. Took me right back to when I used to like in SoCal, except it's a lot more expensive now. 20 bucks for a lunch at a fast food place is nuts. Loved it though. Tasted just like I remembered. read more

Took a chance, had never heard of this place but had the shredded chicken nachos, they were very good. Service was fast and friendly.

Service was exceptional and I went through the drive through so I can't say anything about the ambiance. I ordered a chicken salad and it said on the menu it came with beans. There were no beans and it was cold! This was my first time trying this place so I assumed that the meat would be hot. I know better now! I was not impressed! It was your typical refrigerated salad! Nothing Mexican about it! read more

My family enjoyed the tasty grilled chicken and sides years ago when we lived in SoCal, but now living in Texas we were glad they expanded here. We visited the Allen location quite a few times already and always had a good experience and enjoyed the healthy ingredients. Rebecca, manager, took our order during our most recent visit and had a cheerful and positive attitude. We ate at the restaurant and took another family meal to go! read more

The double chicken avocado bowl is good for 1 person. Ambiance is good and service is great.

May 18th 2pm. Served raw chicken 3 times. Told me thats usual. Bloody chicken? I think not. Moron workers!

There used to be a few of these Chicago but the closed. This one in Allen seems pretty nice and is clean. Had the tacos and their ok. I liked the heat of the Rojas sauce. Just come with onions and cilantro. The healthy burrito are small for $8+. I'd pass on them. Chicken dinners are nice and I'd recommend this. read more

I stopped at El Pollo Loco on Stacy Road and I went in. I waited for one customer in front of me who ordered a large order. When the order was done the young man at the counter taking orders walked away and worked on getting the order he just took out together and no one replaced him. I stood there wanting to order but no one came so I walked out. read more

This restaurant is so great. I love all the fresh ingredients and the friendly staff.

This pollo loco far surpasses all other pollo loco restaurants I've been too. Food is great service is fast and the employees are so nice.

I have always gotten the double chicken tostada here. I love it! However, a couple years ago I paid $8.85?for it... today I paid $14.27 for it. The price has almost doubled and the serving size is smaller now too. That is very disappointing and I feel ripped off. It still tastes great but the price jump is ridiculous! read more

Upon purchasing a two piece chicken meal, I took it home for dinner and noticed the chicken was so old it had a beef jerkey appearance on the outside. In addition it was difficult to pull apart. Surely it has been sitting out for hours, if not days. In addition, the broccoli was not fresh as the buds had discolored. Stay away from this place if you don't want to get sick. read more

I happened to be in the neighborhood today. I typically haven't had any issues with my order in the past but TODAY I will never go back. I ordered a chicken tostada and after halfway eating the bowl a long brown hair was pulled from my mouth. I am sick to my stomach and disgusted. This is completely unacceptable and a violation of my entire soul right now. read more
