It had been awhile since the last time I ate at El Pollo Loco and I know they had some new items so I ordered Dinner from them last Night. I got the Double Chicken Tostada Salad with Creamy Cilantro dressing as a meal so I got chips and a large Coca Cola with it. Also I ordered the new Salsa Verde Quesadilla, BRC Burrito and the two pack of Churros. I have been a huge fan of the Salad for many years even when I was living in California for my whole life until three years ago. It is super delicious even though the size of the tostada and salad has shrunk sadly. I did not get the Creamy Cilantro dressing with my salad so I used dressing I had at home. One section of the tostada shell was mushy but the rest of it seemed fine. I really liked the Salsa Verde Quesadilla and it was a little spicy for anyone who decides to try this out. Another favorite item of mine has been the BRC Burrito and it was good but that item has also shrunk in size from when I first started getting it at El Pollo Loco. Overall it was a good experience and I hope to order from here soon. read more

Ok.... So after many years, apparently I'd forgotten how terrible this location was because I went for dinner here smh. Easy order, 3 piece dark meat with charro beans and rice oh but,,,, they had no rice, GO FIGURE! They are ALWAYS out of something here! I settled for their pasty mashed potatoes & oh so hospital cafeteria tasting gravy. The beans smelled so bad we had to toss the whole container out! My first time at a El Pollo Loco...isn't that crazy? Not in a cooking mood as of late. Maybe the 100+ temps have something to do with it. I think I need a break from cooking also. So,I'm continuously looking for affordable options that don't always include french fries. Also,I've been hankering for flavorful grilled chicken. My four stars are for the chicken. It is exactly what I was looking for. Grilled not fried,moist and flavorful. Good. Also,the side options are great and include broccoli cooked al dente which was a pleasant surprise. The mashed potatoes,also a tasty surprise. At less than $12 I got the 1/2 chicken meal to go. Your choice and I chose breasts and wings. The meal included Two sides and tortillas. 2 flour and 2 corn which were ok. Took a chance, had never heard of this place but had the shredded chicken nachos, they were very good. Service was fast and friendly.

Service was exceptional and I went through the drive through so I can't say anything about the ambiance. I ordered a chicken salad and it said on the menu it came with beans. There were no beans and it was cold! This was my first time trying this place so I assumed that the meat would be hot. I know better now! I was not impressed! It was your typical refrigerated salad! When the order was done the young man at the counter taking orders walked away and worked on getting the order he just took out together and no one replaced him. This pollo loco far surpasses all other pollo loco restaurants I've been too. Food is great service is fast and the employees are so nice.

There used to be a few of these Chicago but the closed. This one in Allen seems pretty nice and is clean. Had the tacos and their ok. I liked the heat of the Rojas sauce. Just come with onions and cilantro. The healthy burrito are small for $8+. I'd pass on them. Chicken dinners are nice and I'd recommend this. read more

I have always gotten the double chicken tostada here. I love it! However, a couple years ago I paid $8.85?for it... today I paid $14.27 for it. The price has almost doubled and the serving size is smaller now too. That is very disappointing and I feel ripped off. It still tastes great but the price jump is ridiculous! read more

Upon purchasing a two piece chicken meal, I took it home for dinner and noticed the chicken was so old it had a beef jerkey appearance on the outside. In addition it was difficult to pull apart. Surely it has been sitting out for hours, if not days. In addition, the broccoli was not fresh as the buds had discolored. Stay away from this place if you don't want to get sick. read more

Sometimes I get the half chicken and the amount of flavor is outstanding!! Make sure you get the cilantro sauce(*+0.60 up charge) with any of your chicken!
