Website said they opened at 10:30. The door to the establishment said that they opened at 10:30. At 10:40 I went to the drive-through to place an order. Sat there for seven minutes. No one came on the speaker. Drove to the front to go in to place my order and the door was locked. I could see the employees inside the establishment but they did nothing to solve this issue. read more

Placed an order, got all the way home, and realized half my order was missing. Drove back immediately, only to find it was 9:07 pm and the doors were already locked. The two employees working at the time--a young lady and a young man--were ducked off in a corner messing around, completely ignoring customers. We literally had to go through the drive-thru and honk just to get someone's attention at the window. Unprofessional, careless, and extremely frustrating. If you're going to close early, at least make sure orders are correct and customers aren't being ignored. This was a complete waste of time and money. Do better. read more

Yelp 100 Challenge 2023 #92 I visited this location twice. On each visit I went through the drive thru and my order has been correct. I have a habit of always checking my food before leaving just to avoid disappointment when I get home. On both visits, I've order their tender meal with original and spicy tenders with fires. My fires were freshly cooked and the tenders were perfect. I enjoy Golden Chick will most likely return when in the mood for spicy tenders and crispy fries. read more

Terrible! Ordered my food at the drive through window the woman was on the phone the whole time!!! My food is wrong she never gave me any of my sauce that comes with your meal or that I paid extra for. Oh and did I mention her phone call was on speaker... I wouldn't be this mad if my order was correct and what I paid for was there i understand having to answer the phone at work sometimes but maybe it's better to step away and have someone cover for you in the meantime. read more

Went here for a combo of grilled chicken to go, 3 pieces. First it's very nice they have soft serve ice cream, which I had Grilled Chicken tasted good and I got mashed potatoes that we're fine. I'm pretty sure I am done with Golden Chick in general. I have yet to have a pleasant experience. I feel like there is usually something delaying the order. Today I placed a mobile order and learned you must go in to pick up mobile orders. No drive-thru pick up for your mobile order. This after I swear I have picked up my last three mobile orders thru the drive thru of another Golden Chick location. Despite the app telling me my order would be ready by 6:10pm and it now being 6:21pm the order wasn't ready. In fact, it hadn't been started. The person behind the register said give us another seven to ten minutes. I received my order at 6:32pm. There are simply too many better, less frustrating chicken-centric joints out there. read more

I placed my order through the golden chicken app. I arrived 5 minutes before the estimated time my food would be ready. It was already bagged up and ready for me. You would think after waiting 15 minutes these people would be WORKING, and cooking the food properly but apparently not. Whoever ones this establishment needs to get their workers in check. This is the 3rd time that these people can't do their job properly. Fries are barely filled, the damn gravy is literal WATER! And your soda machine has 0 carbonation. The quality of this golden chick has gone downhill. When it first opened, it was great! Tonight me and my husband went through the drive thru and received 2 toddler meals worth of food. I got the roasted chicken meal 2 piece with mashed potatoes. They were the tiniest pieces of chicken, enough to get a few bites of. Barely any meat, mostly bone. The mashed potatoes side was 2 tablespoons worth, max. My 2 year old eats more than that in a meal. The quality of the chicken was terrible! It tasted like burned chicken that was 3 days old and microwaved. If I wanted to pay $20 for a snack, I would have went to bucees! We went to the drive thru 45 minutes before closing. If you can't produce halfway decent food at night then just shut down early please. read more

The worst Golden Chick ever! Once I order the kids chicken legs for my small children and they gave me spicy tenders so I had to take them on the inside. Today, I had to wait several minutes for the 2 piece catfish, which is no big deal. Made it home and realized they didn't include the fries I ordered. I hate to write this review as I'm a big fan of Golden Chick... for their sides specifically. Maybe this Golden Chick is still working out their kinks. I was super excited to see one opened so close to home. But my excitement quickly went away after getting our food home. The chicken wasn't bad but the sides were TERRIBLE!!! The dirty rice looked and tasted burnt. The green beans were super watery and vinegar tasting and the Mac and cheese was dry and had brown stuff in it. Almost like all the sides were cooked in the same pot. It was gross. Not mention they only filled the sides containers up about 3/4 of the way. My experience is usually fast food places, when they first open, are the most on point- with everything and then may possibly start to go down after awhile but this one is having a rough start to begin with. My kids and husband hated it. At least the woman at the drive thru was nice. I've gone to plenty of Golden chicks and this one is by far the worst. I don't plan on being back. I'll just keep going to the McKinney one. That was $33+ down the drain. Such a disappointment!!!! read more

Went here because of recommendations of Golden Chick. It's our second visit to one, the first one was previously in Allen in a gas station and it did not go over well. But we hear great things about Golden Chick and decided to give this new stand-a-lone a try. Don't use the app. We pulled up and there is no parking for curbside pickup even though the app shows to have it and even takes the description of your vehicle. Went to the drive through and got told to pull up and park in the handicap slot. Did not feel comfortable with that so pulled to the side and waited. 15 minutes later and my wife went in and asked them about our order and was impolitely told that they have to check the app submissions manually and that the app really doesn't work for their store. They had not started on our order until we pulled up to the drive through and asked. Got the order and checked it and the order was correct, but the gravy was everywhere in the container, but we have a few minutes to drive so we just cleaned up as best we could and left. We do take in mind that the food is traveling in Styrofoam and that its not going to be 100% no matter how far we live away. Get home and take everything out and have to clean more gravy off the packets and containers and there is no honey like we ordered. Still not a big deal, but wished it had been included. Catfish is okay, corn nuggets not quite as sweet as I like, french fries are okay and the coleslaw was dry and not to our liking. Mashed potatoes were a disappointment, as the amount looked like it was half the size of the container, and the gravy wasn't bad. Rolls were good though and still had their heat. Overall, we probably won't be going back until the store has been opened a bit longer. read more

My food is absolute TRASH. I ordered chicken fingers and had it delivered to my job via Uber Eats. I don't have time to run and grab food. When my food arrived, the fries were rubbery and this chicken has clearly been sitting out for some time. It's dry af and lukewarm. The "hot rolls" were cold and tough. That was definitely a first. I've had cold food from Golden Chick before... simply because I got sidetracked and had to eat it a bit later and because it was made fresh, it was still good. This... is ridiculous. I decided to try the brand new Golden Chicken by my house. I have never had them before. When I got home, this is what the chicken looked like when I opened the box. Little did I know I would be getting chicken bites instead of actual full sized chicken tenders. I am beyond unimpressed with their product!!
