The fried chicken is great. However, they no longer serve the Chicken Salad which was my wife's go to meal there. Either the Chicken Salad Salad or sandwich. Not a big a fan of using the self ordering station instead of someone taking my order. read more

I'm not sure what's happened but this location has gone down bad. Not only did I not get the correct food that I ordered and paid for, but when I called to let them know I was told the manager didn't have time to take my call. I contacted corporate and received a call from the GM. I was told to come back whenever I was ready so they could replace my order. I came today to get the replacement order and found a lady at the drive thru window with her head down playing on her phone. After a few minutes of me trying to get her attention a young man walked in to start his shift, he tried to help me and even called the manager but there was no answer so he recommended that I reach out to corporate again. He did everything he could but his management failed him. THIS IS TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!! read more

They no longer have the Texas Pecan Chicken Salad! Checked other locations and found out none in DFW metroplex still serving it. Bummer!!

I ordered a chicken sandwich with no pickles and they served me overcooked chicken on a stale bun WITH PICKLES. Do not eat here!

Food was tasty but wrong one star for lack of attention to detail I ordered the 6 tender meal with gravy dipping sauce and mashed taters and gravy I received 6 tenders two mashed taters no sauce making my meal dry This is the second time my dipping sauce was missed Maybe canes or Williams chicken will get the order correct read more

Since I was here last, they have replaced Ken's dipping sauces with their house made. The honey mustard was awful. And their mashed potatoes suck. Should've gotten the fries. read more

Yelp 100 Challenge 2023 #92 I visited this location twice. On each visit I went through the drive thru and my order has been correct. I have a habit of always checking my food before leaving just to avoid disappointment when I get home. On both visits, I've order their tender meal with original and spicy tenders with fires. My fires were freshly cooked and the tenders were perfect. I enjoy Golden Chick will most likely return when in the mood for spicy tenders and crispy fries. read more

Golden Chick - Entrance - Fast Food Near Me - Allen, Texas

Quick and Easy. Food is good and the battered french fries are great. I recommend this location in Allen.

Placed an order, got all the way home, and realized half my order was missing. Drove back immediately, only to find it was 9:07 pm and the doors were already locked. The two employees working at the time--a young lady and a young man--were ducked off in a corner messing around, completely ignoring customers. We literally had to go through the drive-thru and honk just to get someone's attention at the window. Unprofessional, careless, and extremely frustrating. If you're going to close early, at least make sure orders are correct and customers aren't being ignored. This was a complete waste of time and money. Do better. read more

Website said they opened at 10:30. The door to the establishment said that they opened at 10:30. At 10:40 I went to the drive-through to place an order. Sat there for seven minutes. No one came on the speaker. Drove to the front to go in to place my order and the door was locked. I could see the employees inside the establishment but they did nothing to solve this issue. read more

The server D'Angelo was so accommodating in spite of a crowded drive thru and lobby. There were only 2 people trying to assist the drive thru and the lobb. D'Angelo and Damarion did an excellent job. They took our orders and had them to us in a timely manner with a smile. read more

Terrible! Ordered my food at the drive through window the woman was on the phone the whole time!!! My food is wrong she never gave me any of my sauce that comes with your meal or that I paid extra for. Oh and did I mention her phone call was on speaker... I wouldn't be this mad if my order was correct and what I paid for was there i understand having to answer the phone at work sometimes but maybe it's better to step away and have someone cover for you in the meantime. read more

The staff were not friendly and the like took 20-30 minutes for 3 cars I would absolutely not recommend going here

Tasty chicken. A little on the expensive side but would try again. Wish there were some more options closer to home.

The food was very well seasoned I got the wicked wings it was so crispy and juicy and flavorful. I would recommend these to anyone wanting to try some good chicken. I would not recommend anything else though the sides were terrible other than the fries and the chicken sandwich was also good. read more

The crispy chicken strips and mash potatoes today were average good. We went through the drive thru and the downside was the wait for our food. Corn nuggets were extremely fresh and hot. I love their crushed ice. read more

Went here for a combo of grilled chicken to go, 3 pieces. First it's very nice they have soft serve ice cream, which I had Grilled Chicken tasted good and I got mashed potatoes that we're fine. My only complaint is 3 pieces were all dark meat. Not a fan of that as they're small pieces. I had to get something else to eat after dinner!!! read more

Came through the drive thru ordered a 3 piece. When received the chicken tenders were a 1/3 of the normal size. Called The next day and talked the manager on duty, she said she couldn't do anything for me definitely wasn't worth the $12. The manager could have done a better job at customer service and compensation, zero empathy read more

I keep hoping my faith will be restored in this Golden Chick location. However, back again today and the entire gravy container was dumped into the bag. When I got home, it had soaked through the bottom of the paper bag and was a total waste. Not giving it another chance. Fool me once shame on them, fool me two more times and shame on me! read more

I'm pretty sure I am done with Golden Chick in general. I have yet to have a pleasant experience. I feel like there is usually something delaying the order. Today I placed a mobile order and learned you must go in to pick up mobile orders. No drive-thru pick up for your mobile order. This after I swear I have picked up my last three mobile orders thru the drive thru of another Golden Chick location. Despite the app telling me my order would be ready by 6:10pm and it now being 6:21pm the order wasn't ready. In fact, it hadn't been started. The person behind the register said give us another seven to ten minutes. I received my order at 6:32pm. There are simply too many better, less frustrating chicken-centric joints out there. read more

If I could give a -2 stars I would! I came yesterday with my two small children to get food. I was told there was a 20min wait. Fine. When the food came out which we sat longer than 20 mins I asked the window lady if she could give me just a side of gravy and 3 plates. She told me she could not because there was too many ppl in line at the drive through. I would have to go through the drive through all over again. That will be my very last time going there. I'm still in shock. Please do better I beg! read more

I rarely post reviews and I should have listened to the other reviews posted on this page. I placed my order through the golden chicken app. I arrived 5 minutes before the estimated time my food would be ready. It was already bagged up and ready for me. When I got home my rolls were actually crunchy. The chicken tastes old as if it was sitting out for hours maybe from the day before. And the fries were just garbage. What a waste of money. read more

We just ordered a 6-piece tender with fries and green beans, 2nd order of 4-piece tender with 2 sides of okra. We got home and the 1st order only has 4 pieces with no fries. This is the 3rd time that they messed up the order in the past months. We call the store but the line keeps ringing with no answer. This is disappointing as we dine here at least once a week read more

They forgot my sauces and only put the spicy seasoning on only half of the chicken strip. They can't even follow basic instructions.

You would think after waiting 15 minutes these people would be WORKING, and cooking the food properly but apparently not. Whoever ones this establishment needs to get their workers in check. This is the 3rd time that these people can't do their job properly. Fries are barely filled, the damn gravy is literal WATER! And your soda machine has 0 carbonation. Management or owner needs to get these workers in check. Waste of money and time EDIT- then I find this strip after posting the review. Looks like some yellow stuff on it where there is no breading. disgusting. read more

The quality of this golden chick has gone downhill. When it first opened, it was great! Tonight me and my husband went through the drive thru and received 2 toddler meals worth of food. I got the roasted chicken meal 2 piece with mashed potatoes. They were the tiniest pieces of chicken, enough to get a few bites of. Barely any meat, mostly bone. The mashed potatoes side was 2 tablespoons worth, max. My 2 year old eats more than that in a meal. The quality of the chicken was terrible! It tasted like burned chicken that was 3 days old and microwaved. If I wanted to pay $20 for a snack, I would have went to bucees! We went to the drive thru 45 minutes before closing. If you can't produce halfway decent food at night then just shut down early please. read more

First time trying Golden chick..I moved to Texas from NJ about ten months ago and the name of the restaurant caught my eye. When I came here I ordered the six piece chicken fingers meal which came with gravy and a freshly baked yeast roll. The gravy really made the meal unique and the roll was so chewy and sweet. It was a memorable meal for my taste buds.. read more

I'll give one since I can not give cero. I've been to this location 4 times in the past month and every single time they have the lobby closed. Only drive thru. What's the point to have a lobby if you're not going to open for business. It doesn't matter what time you visit lobby is always closed. This location used to be amazing but out of nowhere it's not good anymore. Food it's inconsistent now and not as friendly read more

We tried Golden Chick against my husband's wishes, but.....Hooray it was good! The woman who took our order was very pleasant and she also filled the order. She was busy, but pleasant. The hot wings were very good that we even ordered 9 more to go! Unfortunately some of the wings in the box were actually nuggets. The nugget tasted ok but we like chicken on the bone. We will be back! read more

The worst Golden Chick ever! Once I order the kids chicken legs for my small children and they gave me spicy tenders so I had to take them on the inside. Today, I had to wait several minutes for the 2 piece catfish, which is no big deal. Made it home and realized they didn't include the fries I ordered. The soda machine is ALWAYS down so I asked if they have water (meaning a water bottle). The young girl in the window fixed me water in a cup and the water was pink. Just horrible! read more

I hate to write this review as I'm a big fan of Golden Chick... for their sides specifically. Maybe this Golden Chick is still working out their kinks. I was super excited to see one opened so close to home. But my excitement quickly went away after getting our food home. The chicken wasn't bad but the sides were TERRIBLE!!! The dirty rice looked and tasted burnt. The green beans were super watery and vinegar tasting and the Mac and cheese was dry and had brown stuff in it. Almost like all the sides were cooked in the same pot. It was gross. Not mention they only filled the sides containers up about 3/4 of the way. My experience is usually fast food places, when they first open, are the most on point- with everything and then may possibly start to go down after awhile but this one is having a rough start to begin with. My kids and husband hated it. At least the woman at the drive thru was nice. I've gone to plenty of Golden chicks and this one is by far the worst. I don't plan on being back. I'll just keep going to the McKinney one. That was $33+ down the drain. Such a disappointment!!!! read more

Golden Chick - Dirty rice, green beans, Mac and cheese. Chicken - Fast Food Near Me - Allen, Texas

Went here because of recommendations of Golden Chick. It's our second visit to one, the first one was previously in Allen in a gas station and it did not go over well. But we hear great things about Golden Chick and decided to give this new stand-a-lone a try. Don't use the app. We pulled up and there is no parking for curbside pickup even though the app shows to have it and even takes the description of your vehicle. Went to the drive through and got told to pull up and park in the handicap slot. Did not feel comfortable with that so pulled to the side and waited. 15 minutes later and my wife went in and asked them about our order and was impolitely told that they have to check the app submissions manually and that the app really doesn't work for their store. They had not started on our order until we pulled up to the drive through and asked. Got the order and checked it and the order was correct, but the gravy was everywhere in the container, but we have a few minutes to drive so we just cleaned up as best we could and left. We do take in mind that the food is traveling in Styrofoam and that its not going to be 100% no matter how far we live away. Get home and take everything out and have to clean more gravy off the packets and containers and there is no honey like we ordered. Still not a big deal, but wished it had been included. Catfish is okay, corn nuggets not quite as sweet as I like, french fries are okay and the coleslaw was dry and not to our liking. Mashed potatoes were a disappointment, as the amount looked like it was half the size of the container, and the gravy wasn't bad. Rolls were good though and still had their heat. Overall, we probably won't be going back until the store has been opened a bit longer. read more
