It's been about 15 years since I've been to a 5 guys. I remember it being tasty and distinctly remember loving the A1 sauce mixed in with burger. I ordered a bowl, thinking, lower carbs/better option. I didn't exactly know what it would look like. We had Five Guys a couple times now from this location and it never disappointed us. My app ordering experience, the time projection of having the order ready, the price when BOGO, the quality of the food and most importantly the service staff being super kind and friendly is what keeps us coming back when we have burger cravings. The burger, fries and the shake hit differently and the fact that you can still load up a bowl of shelled peanuts, is just the cherry on top. The restaurant itself just always gives me that retro feeling of old American diner restaurants. Super nostalgic They definitely deserve their five stars! The lettuce should be shredded because it mostly fell off the burger, but the grilled mushrooms and onions were good and the burger was not messy at all. There has been a question among my persons and I as of late, "which fast food place has the best burgers?". I heard a few suggestions and of course, I hadn't tried many of them yet and Five Guys was one of them. I'm not much of a red meat eater (or meat eater at all for the matter most days) and I did make note that they had a veggie burger option available only upon walking in, I couldn't help but to order a real burger. Interesting, they've got peanuts to snack on for those as hungry as I was who may blow away in waiting for their order... I was amazed at the topping selections and that most of them seem to be included in the price of the burger. Score! They also have malt vinegar for those of us who.... well, if you know, you know. I was on board as it was so I just said "okay, not a problem", I added onions (raw because they do offer grilled), pickles, relish, tomato, lettuce and get this A1 SAUCE! I tried Five Guys for the first time over the weekend and I really enjoyed it! Five Guys definitely lived up to the hype in my opinion. I ordered the veggie sandwich with cheese and the little Cajun fries. The veggie sandwich was huge and filled with a large amount of grilled mushrooms, onions, peppers, pickles, lettuce, cheese and tomato. Very satisfying. The "little" Cajun fries were not so little. It was a huge portion (overflowing in the bag) and seasoned perfectly. I like that they sent me a text to let them know when I was on the way. That way they made the fries as I was arriving and they were hot and fresh/crispy. I really enjoyed the food and I would definitely recommend Five Guys! read more

I took my two daughters to five guys for dinner one evening and spent $70 on three burgers and fry's with two milk shakes. $70 seems to be pretty absorbent to spend for fast food when we recently went to a nice restaurant that had a wonderful ambience fantastic service and healthy food options and spent $80 Along with desert and two adult beverages. Felt totally unsafe. The only one following COVID19 protocols was the staff to a point. No cleaning of tables after customers. About 10 people came in not wearing masks putting everyone dining there at risk, and nothing was said. The physically challenged table is right by the entrance so all coming in not wearing a mask expose those who are the highest risk. Freezing cold inside. As many others have mentioned, pricey for fast food burgers ranging around the 9-10 dollar range and takes a while to get to you, but service was nice. The food tasted okay. I liked my fries better than my burger. Is it weird for me to say that my favorite part were the peanuts? The floors were nice and clean, which is shocking because the Five Guys I used to frequent back in Portland had peanut shells on the ground at all times that I would visit. The manager reviewed the menu with us, very friendly. We ordered 2 small burgers, one with cheese, bacon, lettuce, the other had tomato, lettuce, onion, and pickle. We also ordered a small fry and a chocolate malted milk shake. We paid and sat down and waited, waited and waited. We noticed another order was in front of ours. It seemed a lot of chit chatting in the food prep area was going on because it took so long. Food was good for a burger joint (no calorie watching here), order came out correctly. 0 stars if I could , ordered 2 burgers and fries and 2 drinks 47 dollars!!! Service was absolutely horrible, an employee on the job at the register had the audacity to ask me if I was high on marijuana while I was ordering just because I didn't know the menu by heart, then another employee butted in making everything take even longer and more complicated. Took 2 employees to complete 1 order, got my food and finally left but was completely under cooked and I got food poisoning and was unable to go to work the next day . Honestly one of the worst fast food experiences I've ever had , I called the next day to inform the manager what happened and they wouldn't even get one , then told me not to WORRY about it and just brushed it under the rug . You know for 47 dollars and a 15 minute wait you'd think the food would be absolutely perfect but it was the exact opposite. They didn't even offer me a refund! I'll take my ass to McDonald's next time I know the foods not even real but at least it won't be undercooked or take more than 1 employee to complete an order , I've never seen customer service so bad that they don't even care about you " oh you got food poisoning we'll we're sorry " . I hope this location gets shut down after its next health inspection, maybe if I would've been in the hospital they would've cared more !!! First it is the most expensive one I have ever been to. $15 for a small burger and a medium fry...but it gets better. That medium fry consisted of the smallest paper cup they have and about 3 fry's that fell out of the cup into the bag. I order the same thing all over and I tell you usually there are 3 times that amount in a medium fry. They did through in a l other cup when I questioned them. So food was ok, Frye were not crispy like requested but I'll get over that. The thing that really got me was the dread atmosphere when I walked in. I haven't been here for years. I really loved their burger and they use to give lots of fries. Well, the burgers are still good, but the amount of fries has shrunk. For $4.59 I really expected more fries. I normally need two or three containers full of ketchup to finish my fries. This time I just needed one. Then the fries tasted like they had been sitting around for a while. They were lukewarm and a bit soggy. Their "free style" drink machine is great. But, when you consider my other Five Guys review (Flagstaff location), this is considerably better. I've eaten at Five Guys maybe three times. Today, me and five other guys (seriously) from work decided to try the Five Guys at 44th Street and Thomas. It was probably the fact that I was craving a burger that I decided to give this chain another shot to impress me. I still don't get all the hype. I chose the Bacon Cheeseburger and added grilled mushrooms, onion, mustard and lettuce. As I said, it was better than an average burger. I will give them props for three things. The service is very quick and friendly. The selection of toppings is very impressive. And I don't recall the "Little" portion of fries being an option, but it was perfect for my lunch. However, I can name several other places where I've enjoyed a burger that I won't soon forget. One of those places (Two Hippies Gnarly Burger Joint) use to be right down the street, but it unfortunately closed. While Five Guys has a great product, there are two things it hasn't overcome in my mind. When you leave the toppings selection to the customer, they will either get exactly what they want, and love it. Or, they will regret their combination of items and walk away disappointed. The second hurdle is the price. Even those who have never set foot in a Five Guys know these places are expensive. My double bacon cheeseburger, small fries and large drink set me back $16.04 including tax. The burger alone was almost $9! Unfortunately, it didn't taste like $9. read more
