    MOLD!!!
    Kate P.

Subway is kind of my guilty pleasure, I love their sandwiches and cookies. The last couple times I've ordered ahead from here my order has been wrong. I was missing one of my cookies, one of my sandwiches wasn't made right at all, and neither were toasted. Especially when it comes to their buffalo chicken breast sandwich, it's pretty gross if it isn't heated up and toasted, like a cold rubber chicken breast. With Covid going on, I want to limit my exposure as much as possible, so I order ahead. Too bad there is no quality control. UPDATED REVIEW: After getting through half of the sandwiches, bummed because neither tasted very good, we turned on the lights to put away the other halves, only to find the flatbread was COVERED in mold. I called to complain and inform them that their bread was VERY moldy, a man answered the phone and albeit very eager to help, he was new, so he had a manager call me back. A woman called me back and when I explained to her what happened she responded with a serious attitude saying, "that's funny because we bake our bread fresh everyday." I got no apology whatsoever for my experience, I have never been treated so poorly after being fed mold.

A very decent Subway. I stopped by during the lunch hour for the sub of the day special which was turkey. I was greeted and helped promptly. Employees friendly and professional. A solid turkey sandwich with veggies and honey mustard sauce. Great price.

Subway is Subway and you should have correct expectations when you go there. They offer a variety of what I consider healthy sandwiches compared to other fast food options. If you stick to the daily specials, you can get out of there for under $6 for a 6" sandwich, large drink and chips (or cookies). I like that I get to personally instruct every ingredient that goes on each sandwich. That way, they are always exactly what I want. If you stray from the daily special, the price edges up to where I would consider other options that have premium subs (Jersey Mikes, Jimmy Johns, etc). This is my go-to place for a fast, inexpensive but good workweek lunch. This is my favorite Subway. The owner, Dave, is there every day and the service and food quality reflect that. The employees here are extremely nice & friendly and most of the guys have worked there for many years and you can tell they have fun working there. The store is always very clean. This is in a busy center so expect the parking to be tight at peak times. Before I moved my office, I ate here at least 3 times a week and usually 4 times and had been going there since before the new center was built and they were in the corner suite of the tired office/retail complex that used to be on this site. Moving our office away from this Subway was a bad thing. Even now when I occasionally drop in there, it is like a reunion. I miss Dave's Subway. It is the best Subway.

As the owner of this location, I must make a statement regarding a review posted by Lauren. As Yelp would not remove the post I can only respond that her post is without merit. I take great pride in my business and have top notch employees. The person ( Isabella ) has never worked for me. Clearly Lauren has my location mixed up with another Subway location.

    Hotdog bun size bread

This subway has gone down hill. Bread is never fresh. Staff is not as friendly as they use to be. I now drive further away to go to a better run subway

I ordered the harissa chicken bowl, which was a selection from the menu, not a build-your-own option. I found the bowl to be way too spicy. I understand that harissa flavors pack a punch, but this was a full on tackle, not a punch. Due to the spice, I didn't enjoy the bowl at all. The rice that was mixed in with the bowl also had a weird crunchy texture. Aside, the parking here was also a huge struggle. I hear they're building a CAVA location out my way in West Valley, so I would definitely try it again in hopes of a different and better experience.

Tried Fly Bye on Camelback and I'll just say it: this was a classic "great deal, a couple tweaks…read moreaway from greatness" situation. I called in my order at 11:20am and got quoted 25-30 minutes for the lunch special. It was ready right around that window, which immediately put me in a good mood because nothing ruins lunch faster than staring at a pickup counter like it owes you money. The guy behind the counter was friendly and even tossed in a sample of 'copy cane' sauce for me to try on my sandwich. I ordered the lunch special (pepperoni pizza slice + Caesar salad, no drink) and added the chicken sandwich with fries. (Fries were only $1 add on!) Starting with the chicken, flavor was solid. Chicken was seasoned and the hoagie was legit. But the lettuce comes ranch-tossed like it's training for a swimming event. It tastes good but if you wait too long to eat it, the bread starts turning into a sponge and the sandwich becomes more "salad in loaf form." The Cane's-clone sauce was 100% needed--once I added it, everything clicked. Now the fries were cooked well done, crispy, and exactly the texture I like. They were just a touch dry, so ketchup wasn't a suggestion--it was a requirement. With ketchup, they're great. The real value winner was the pizza + ceasar. The slice is big and absolutely worth the $10 on size alone. Also: A+ pepperoni choice. They use those small cupping pepperonis (Grimaldi's style) instead of the big greasy ones, and I respect that decision deeply. Only downside: the center was slightly undercooked--that gooey middle happened on a few bites, and I'm not a "wet pizza" person. The salad was fresh and the dressing had great flavor and depth, the croutons felt home made and the whole situation, even portion size, was enjoyable. Would I come back? Yeah. I'd give it another shot because the bones are good and the price is right. Next time I'm ordering the sandwich no tomato and no ranch-tossed lettuce, so I can control the sauce per bite instead of letting it control me. Also worth noting: I signed up for their rewards program and got $10 off, bringing my total to $15--which made this whole lunch feel like a small financial victory with gas at $5 a gallon!

When you bake a pizza at 400+ degrees, one would expect the cheese to melt and become one. When you buy pre shredded cheese, each strand is coated with crap to keep it shelf stable. I understand the business reasoning, but kind of disappointed. Part of eating is the visuals. When you see individual strands of cheese on a pizza, it ruins the experience. 100% likely in the minority in this, but it is what it is. Their chicken is really good, tho.

You order at the window and they give you a number for your table. I will say that everyone I spoke to there was exceptionally friendly and helpful. I was not going back to the McDowell location while much closer. I decided to come to this location on Indian School and will say customer service is way better. Frustration at the register I have a Rubios gift card from my birthday that I used at the McDowell location originally $30 card had $5 and change left. It was from Prezzee but it only has a number & pin. The gentleman at register was not familiar with it and didn't know how to enter it. He had to get manager and she clicked something that was to let me enter it. Long number punched it in says not supported but card was used at the McDowell location with no problem other than it had to be punched in. My issue is that it is 2026 and that is just crazy that these are the digital gift cards between Prezzee and Rubios. They should have a scan capability. The manager did attempt to make the experience right which is why I'm doing 2 stars. Nerada manager kind and not really her issue, complaint due to the technology of the digital gift cards. But the 1st McDowell experience and then coming here & the gift card fiasco just set the tone. I apologize if spelled the managers name wrong but I'm good. 2 not so good experiences I have made decision it just isn't worth the frustration. The food is decent but I'm very cool on Rubios there is that experience that just says yeah no. Never again. Here is my only suggestion for your customers that do come in you need to have trash bins at both exiting and entering doors. When sitting in front of restaurant you have to go to back door off patio to throw away trash. Not good.
