The price of the items are not matching the quality you get. I tried this place for lunch and the line was non-existent. So I walked up and ordered a bacon cheese burger and a strawberry milkshake. My boss ordered the cajun fries and we shared that. How much did I pay? $17-18 If you tried Five Guys on the mainland, you'll notice the price hike. Hawaii is always more expensive for obvious reasons... The 2 burger patties were juicy, maybe because of the cheese. The cheese didn't have much flavor and the burger didn't have much either. The burger is similar in size to In and Out, but not even close to taste. The price of the burger is very high for what you get. You can choose a bunch of things in your burger, but this is a burger. If the burger sucks, then covering it with tons of toppings is not going to save it. The burger doesn't suck, it just doesn't stand out. The bacon in the burger is amazing, I must say. The bacon is probably baked and gives the burger the most flavor. You can find better burgers for similar prices. The fries are in very big portions. They do taste good. I have no arguments here. You need to air them out so the moisture doesn't soften the fries. The shake is alright. Shakes in general are pretty good, but I don't taste anything special in this case. I can't say I'd get another $5 shake from here. I can't say I'd come back, but if someone wanted to try, I'd come back. There is free peanuts, but I don't care about that. We tried Five Guys over the weekend using a gift card we received for Christmas. Food was delicious and milkshakes were very tasty. Wait time was a little long- 25 minutes for 2 burgers, 2 fries and 2 milkshakes to go. Good thing you can snack on peanuts while you're waiting. At $9-12 for a burger by itself is a little too pricey for me. If you're looking for a regular/predetermined specialty burgers, fries, plain milkshake or drink you'll get better bang for your buck at Teddy's. If you're going to eat here, you need to go all out to make it worth it (ie. as many toppings/mix ins as you can). For instance we had BBQ bacon cheeseburgers with everything, fries were regular but we should've opted for Cajun flavoring and milkshakes we did strawberry/banana/vanilla for the first one and double stuffed oreos/salted caramel for the second. When I ran my errands on Thursday around 12/1 pm, there was no crowd so I guess the weekend is when they get busy. Fries: There are 3 sizes for your french fries, "Little", "Regular" and Large (I think). We got the regular which was about $6 and was basically 2 cups of french fries which can easily feed 2 people. The french fries were crispy on one side and soft on the other. It was seasoned with just enough salt and was delicious. Milkshake: They have an array of flavors ranging from Peanut Butter to Caramel for about $5-$6. My boyfriend got their cherry shake which tasted like those fake cherries you put on ice cream sundaes. I got their oreo milk shake with whipped cream and it tasted pretty good, I still thought the price was kind of steep though. Burgers: They have 2 sizes for their burgers, a little and large one I think. They also have cheese burgers, hamburgers, bacon burgers, and bacon cheeseburgers which range from $6-$10. They have free toppings like pickles, mayo, mustard, lettuce, tomatoes, grilled onions, mushrooms, and ketchup. They have other toppings like bbq sauce but you have to pay extra for it. My boyfriend and I got the little bacon cheese burger which was about $8-$9. We had high hopes for it since Five Guys is supposed to be known for their burgers but were extremely disappointed. So I was really excited that this place opened up. Every time I travel back to the mainland I stop in for a burger, fries and a drink. It's usually $8-10 bucks for one person and $16-20 for two. See my picture for reference. There are the last several time I went and the price I paid. Now I understand here in Hawaii there is a markup. But $32 for two people at a burger joint? Seriously! We're talking burgers. Not steaks. The food was the same as back on the mainland. A bit sloppier actually. They didn't have the presentation thing down yet. Finally got to go here! We've been to Five Guys in the mainland, so we're excited to see that it finally made its way to Hawaii. Located in Town Center by the theaters, Five Guys is known for their large burgers, Cajun style fries, thick milkshakes and of course - complimentary peanuts! Line was busy during Saturday lunch, but it moved quickly. When we go to the counter, we ordered a Little Bacon Cheeseburger, Little Cheeseburger, Cajun fries and a coke. We also wanted a Oreo milkshake - there were two kinds (Oreo cookies pieces and Oreo creme) so the employee at the register suggested we get a combo shake called "Double Stuff". Turned out tasting awesome - she was very helpful! Inside is crowded, so you have to wait until people leave to snag a table. Other than that, food was delicious and service was great! This was our first visit to the Hawaii location out in Mililani. After waiting for 2-3 months after it's grand opening, it was well worth the wait! We got here before 11:00am and there was no line. The cashier was very helpful and explained to us of what the difference is between a little burger and a regular burger. We ordered 2 regular bacon cheeseburgers, 1 regular burger, 1 little bacon cheeseburger, 1 large fries and 3 milkshakes. Cost...$71.20. Man what a rip, but the kids were happy campers. This review is solely based on the fact that I was actually surprised on how much food I got. I spent 11.50 on a little burger and a little fries. I'm glad that i could customize my burger and that everything was surprisingly fresh too. After paying I thought I was gonna get a little kids meal. Since trying it in LA a few years ago, I fell in love with Five Guys, especially the fries. With the news of their opening in Hawaii, I was excited. My excitement was tempered with the fact that they would be going through the usual new restaurant blues, the issues of bringing a known brand to a new market, and the Hawaii premium in cost of doing business.
