I have lived across from the Five Guys on Hesperian for over a year. I've called in orders for that entire time of almost two years. I don't know what has happened the last couple of months, but third strike and your out. I called in a order tonight, that had absolutely no seasoning. I mean none, no seasoning on the burgers or what I usually love to call Cajun Style Fries. Everything about it seemed so rushed, and I let that slide the first time, because they were slammed. My stepson has been numerous times and brings home fries to share. I have seen about 10 different orders over 6-7 months and while they offer a large portion, they are terrible.. They ooze of oil and are as soft as rubber cement. Destroy's In-Out burgers by far with the choices and options on you hamburger. I have taken many family here and the price is comparalbe to any large combo from fast food place. First time. Great customer service. The burger smelled kinda funky but im guessing its the peanut oil. The burgee itself was delicious, well done. All the toppings were good. Awesome food every time I go! Definitely recommend the Cajun fries. They always give you more fries ( they do your order and throw in extra in the bag). I don't understand all the hype.. I came here for lunch today and it's nothing spectacular.. In fact I could probably make something more original with my grill at home.. While these aren't the worst burgers they're also not very distinctive.. I didn't notice a difference between here and the millions of other burger places out there.. One thing I did like about this place is that all the burger toppings are free because normally you would pay extra for something like grilled mushrooms.. The most disappointing part of my experience was that they didn't have any ranch to go with my fries :/ I was told that the regular sized fries were enough to feed 2 people but it was definitely way more than that.. I don't think we even got through half of the order! Consistency, consistency, consistency. Used to be 5 star but where's the love. Clean the place up to its filthy. In and out is way cheaper and CLEANER. Step your game up. My fries were burnt the soda machine area is dirty as hell. I had to wipe up my own table before seating. I usually do not write reviews.. really do not feel the need to unless it's positive but the manager of this location needs to be fired along with some of the employees! I came here twice, I live across the street and I love 5Guys but the first time I came here, it was a walk in around 8:30pm and there wasn't many people and most clients had already been served their food; but it took a good 20 mins for me to get my food as I could see the employees in the back cracking jokes and strolling around! Finally got my order and when I got home they got it wrong, including ingredients I specifically said I was allergic to! I decided to never go back. And should have kept it that way but I was craving Cajun fries so I made a phone order this time, the person on the phone was a little rude but I could care less and they said my order would be ready in 5 mins, which makes sense cause it was late. When I went to pick it up 10 mins later I walked in and went to the counter; it took a good minute to decide which one of the 6+ present employees I could see at the time would come help me. One finally did and I told them I was there for a pick up. I paid and she said they were waiting on my fries and yelled to the others that I was here, (with my name completely wrong by the way) twice, the second time about two other employees yelled back "we know!" I proceeded to sit right by the counter and waited 15 mins! Various people got served and the place was almost empty! Then I made eye contact with the person who served me and they finally asked someone about my order who told her it was right there. It had been sitting there next to them the whole time, she then picked it up said my name and just threw it on the counter with a smear on her face. No apologies, nothing! Grand opening today. Went in at noon and wasn't too croiwded. Perhaps 15 people sitting down eating or waiting for their food. Seventeen workers behing the counter and it was very noisy. I couldn't imagine sitting there listening.. I ordered a cheeseburger for myself and a burger for myself. You get to choose the 'toppings' and that's what makes these burgers pretty good. I didn't realize that these were double burgers and I could have ordered a (single) little cheeseburger. Mine collapsed at the bottom from all the weight. These burgers will compete with Sam's Burgers down the street. Pricey, though $5.79 for a cheeseburger and $4.99 for the burger. Eighty cents for cheese is way too much. read more

Its a no fail meal, so bad for you, but soooo good . Although i could give this location 5 stars for the quality and quantity, i had a not so hot experience with the staff 2nite. We had to be somewhere, so we decided to call our order in on iur way there. After waiting on the phone for 5 minutes, we pull up to the restaurant, and there are literally 6 employees behind the counter (mostly talking to one another) and less than 10 people in the place, with nobody in line. Keep in mind there was only 1 customer waiting for food, as the other customers were already eating their food. When we got to the register, we told the girl that we were on hold. She turned around to the guy behind her and said "they were on hold." He looked at us with a blank stare and just said "oh, im sorry" and continued on talking to his staff as if nothing every happened. It left a lightweight bad taste in my mouth and i will have to order online so that they dont know its me and give me tainted food. I'm not much of a burger person and had never heard of this place, but on my way home from Diamond Springs I had to stop and get gas and change for the bridge so I got off the freeway in Hayward. After getting gas I decided to get something to eat. I didn't know my way around the area so when I saw this place I stopped to get a burger. Well I was really impressed. They had a variety of burgers and quite a few additional items you could add to the burger, no extra charge. The burger was really tasty and not overcooked but not rare. I probably had a day and a half worth of calories and fat, but it was well worth it. It you like in the shell peanuts they have plenty of those too. Service was fast and very friendly. You order and pick up your own order, but that's expected in a burger place. I would go there again if I were in the mood for a burger. I understand they just opened one in Burlingame, so that is much closer to me. read more

Really great burgers is all i can say and much better than In-N-Out I'll tell you that! You could even send them an email order so by the time you get to this place, you're order is already done and just waiting for you to be picked-up which I tried one time. They also have hot dogs Milkshakes but their main bread & butter are burgers and this is a great place to drop by if ever you're around the Hesperian Blvd. corridor between Hayward and San Lorenzo (This place is just right next to Kennedy Park). I've been wanting to try this place for quite a while and I was a little disappointed. We used the online ordering system. When we got the order back home the four burgers that we ordered wasn't even correct. There were more small cajun fries than there were large regular fries. The burgers were smashed and wrapped in foil - it was a little messy eating them with the dozen pickles hanging out of the bun. Had heard about this place & have read several surveys spouting the famous burgers & fries. This place is newly opened in Hayward. Great location, ample parking. You can order your burger with array of toppings all starting $5.00 +. Fries can be ordered two ways cajun or regular in two sizes large and regular. They also serve dogs and sandwiches. They have online ordering, you just come in to pickup. Understand that little burgers are single patties, the rest burger list is double patties. This is not explained on the menu ( look at calorie count). I ordered a little burger with pickles, no onions. After eating for a bit, realized there was bacon added. I also ordered cajun fries, very spicy & garlicky. My friend order a bacon burger, came double pattie, stuffed with lettuce and regular fries. We all agreed the burgers were much better at In & Out, but the regular fries were better tasting than In & Out. Free peanuts while you wait or just want something to eat. read more
