I love stopping at In-N-Out on road trips, and this location really impressed me. Even with the long line wrapped around the parking lot, the drive thru was spacious and the inside layout actually made sense. The waiting area, condiment station, and dining area are clearly separated, which keeps the dining space from feeling crowded like at other locations. My food came out fast, was fresh, and tasted amazing. In-N-Out will always get my business and I'll be adding this location to the top of my list. Other locations need to take notes. Went to this location for the first time, expecting the normal in-n-out experience. The workers looked miserable to be there as they took my order. I ordered animal fries and a Flying Dutchman. My animal fries were missing the spread, only topped with cheese and onions. And then to top it off I found a hair in my burger. Safe to say I would stay clear of this location. read more

The layout of the dining room here is really great. They have a bunch of two-top table "booths" which is awesome because you don't have two people taking up an entire booth meant for 4. The location was fairly clean with the exception of a couple tables but they were fairly busy when we visited. This location has prices a little above average of other in n out locations but it's scaled to the area. The food was mostly as expected but fries were disappointing compared to other visits. I think they were behind on the burger line and the fries were ready and sitting there, so they were lukewarm at best and getting soft. The burgers were top notch though! read more

Waited 20 minutes for a number 1 combo meal with soggy fries and bottom ones were room temp. Definitely not consistent as the other branches. The place was not even busy and went to the counter 2 times after they called 6 numbers that were behind me in that order. Thanks to the nice lady cleaning up the front area as she noticed I been waiting and she actually went in behind the counter area and expedited the order. Love, love, love that Hayward finally got an In-N-Out! This was so needed--Union City's line situation definitely needed some relief. First time visiting this location and my first impression was an easy 10/10. The place was spotless, service was quick, and of course the food was exactly what you expect from In-N-Out--delicious and consistent. I came in right after what was clearly a hectic lunch rush (you could tell they'd been through it), but the staff was still friendly, efficient, and my food came out at a great pace. First time in was just a week ago - and if there were any kinks they seem to have all been worked out already. Burger fries all good. If anything in general I don't like the fries here too much compared to other similar places. But they are made in such a way that is better for you - fresh potatoes and oil more healthful. Big luxury EV parking spots right up front. If you drive an EV you will like the first class treatment and perks of owning one - even if President Trumps recent big beautiful bill kicks you out of the free hov lanes on the highway. Mostly college students in the dining room - a young crowd. Also some group of white shirts with name badges - you know the type to door knock with religion. This was my first time visiting this location since my friend and I were in the area after attending a concert at the Greek theatre in Berkeley. We arrived here a little after midnight and ate inside. It was moderately busy with high school students enjoying a meal after their prom. My friend and I got our order pretty quickly. This location is unique with their seating as they have the option to sit in a smaller booth fit for two. I've never seen this at the locations near me. The buns were overly toasted making them hard and the fries were possibly double fried to the point they were brittle. Super quick drive thru experience...like okay Hayward I see you! But the girl that took my order at the walk up got my order wrong and was like it's okay, they will know at the window...but no! I had a very disappointing experience during my recent visit. While I was waiting for my food, an employee named Luna made an inappropriate comment to her coworkers, and they all looked directly at me and fat-shamed me. It was extremely unprofessional and uncomfortable. On top of that, Luna was also being overly casual and unprofessional while chatting with (what seemed like) a friend in line instead of focusing on customers. No customer should be made to feel judged or disrespected while simply trying to get a meal. I hope management addresses this behavior, because this kind of treatment is unacceptable. read more

Trying this location the first time after the Walmart location San Leandro closed and union city became too far due to gas price lol. The meet and greet at the counter was great. The lady suggested me to try the mustard grill (secret menu) instead cau I didn't want mayo on mine. I went ahead and got it with grilled onion. The line was not long as I expected even though i went on Thursday evening around dinner time. The only thing they didn't give me was diced yellow peppers on my burger as I asked or even on the side. Finally an In-N-Out in Hayward! I have been waiting for the longest time for one to open up in my neighborhood and my dream finally came true! I love their simple menu and their delicious burgers. My go-to order is always is the cheeseburger animal style and animal style fries. My husband likes their double-double with whole grilled onions. We came here a couple days after their grand opening on a Sunday for lunch and was surprised that there wasn't a long line inside. I did see a long line for drive through. The restaurant is very clean with lots of employees and they were very friendly! It is very spacious inside with lots of seats available. Located in a plaza with Raising Cane's, Sprouts, Ross (soon to open), and HomeGoods (soon to open?). There is parking available but it does fill up pretty quickly, especially with all the popular businesses! read more

Came here on a Monday night for dinner! The line for drive through is long so we came in inside. There was a short line but there were three line for register and it went by quick! We ordered our food and waited not super long for it. The staff was efficient and pleasant! The space inside is not that big but there are still enough seating. They also have a few seating outside. After they passed my number by about 10 numbers, I went up to ask -- it had been over 24 minutes since we ordered. The service was very slow. When they finally handed me my food, the animal fries were made so sloppily that sauce was squirted all over the counter, the container, and even onto the employee's hand. I was honestly disgusted. And to make it worse, the fries were completely cold. I'm confused because I've never experienced this at any other In-N-Out, and this location wasn't even that busy. Finally another in n out near me. This location has all the same traits as all the rest. Long drive through line, not really many dine-in. The line awkwardly goes through the whole parking lot area, so be aware you may park somewhere you'll get blocked in if the line extends further. As you walk inside -- if you're not driving through, you'll notice the restaurant is relatively the same as all the rest, just with a handful more booth spots. Very clean, as it is new. In terms of burger, I always get the standard double meat, no cheese, animal style, with well done fries. That last customization is really a necessity nowadays with how soggy those fries can get. I'd say the biggest edge that in n out had over their competitors is their lettuce and tomato. Totally locked in on ratio, freshness, and balance of texture. Their buns are nice and toasty, and the legendary in n out sauce just puts the cherry on top. I have never in my life been helped so kindly and genuinely at an In-N-Out before. Today's experience at the Hayward location completely made my day. Raven was absolutely amazing!!! She was sweet, friendly, and welcoming from the moment we walked in. For the first time ever, I made a special request on my fries, fully expecting it to maybe be a hassle, and she immediately told me "yes" with such a positive attitude. No hesitation, no inconvenience, just pure willingness to help. That alone impressed me. She even gave us the cutest stickers, which was such a thoughtful touch. You can tell she truly enjoys what she does and genuinely cares about customers. Jorge was also incredible. When I asked him for a rag to clean a table, he immediately let me know he would take care of it himself. Within seconds, he cleared the table, removed all leftover food, and then proceeded to clean two additional tables in front of without being asked. That level of initiative and attentiveness is rare and so appreciated. The food was great as always, but the customer service is what really stood out today. I went last week. The burgers and fries were good! A weird thing tho, the fries tasted less salty than normal but I didn't mind because.... The drive through was sooo short! I was in and out in minutes! I have gone to other locations in San Leandro/San Ramon/Davis/San Diego and this has been the best shortest time I have ever spent in an in n out drive through. I also went around 4 which is when the one in San Ramon takes me at least 30 minutes to go through the drive through. I end up going inside since it takes less time. I would definitely go to this location again. It's also new so it's good to look around. There are a other food options in the same shopping center so it's good to keep the family or friends happy if people want to get something else while you get the oldie but goody in n out :) read more

I wanted to give this place full stars.. At first I figured that since it was kind of new, they just have inexperienced staff.. but as time went on.. I found my orders to be wrong. Like grilled cheese sandwich would have everything still except the meat..hmmm Or when I asked for well done fries... it's soggy n halfway to crispy lol Then so many times the fries are salty.. where you can actually see so much of the salt on the fries lol Then their burgers would be a hit or miss with too much salt. So ideally, just to be safe..just order no salt The mood of the staff here compared to other places are very so n so. To be fair, the drive thru line is usually the shortest compared to other places. This location is finally open as of October 3, 2024! Hours are open daily from 10:30 a.m. to 1 a.m. on weekdays and 10:30am to 1:30 a.m on weekends. Located in the same plaza as Raising Canes, Sprouts, Ross, and more coming soon. Parking will probably get difficult during peak hours and on weekends. Employee at the register was friendly and we asked for free stickers! I just wanted fries, so they handed it to me within a few minutes at the register after payment. In-N-Out is always predictable and enjoyable. On a weekday at lunch, the place was very empty and for about 5 minutes, I was the only one in the restaurant before others trickled in. One of the associates came out and brought my order to the table. It wasn't busy and the food came out hot and fresh. The restaurant has a larger dining room than what is usually around so it can handle a larger capacity of sit down diners. My bf and I have came here multiple times because we go to sprouts weekly and the quality of the burgers are just not the same as other locations in the Bay Area. I still give this location of the benefit of the doubt because it's newly opened however today may be the last time we return. Normally the burger patty's are just not well seasoned enough. Lettuce and sauce ratio are just not the same or enough. We always ask for grilled onions or animal style and the burger still taste bland however today's food quality was by far the worst. The whole entire burger was cold. Patty was dry and looked like it's been left out. I'm not sure if things are pre cooked and just made to order but nothing about the burgers are are satisfying at this location. We even asked for toasted buns and the whole entire burger was STILL cold.
