The service sucks! The only person I saw working hard was the young man on the register who was also manning the milkshake machines - and yesterday when I was there was his 3rd day at work. And could be reason why he was working hard. There were 4 other men and 1 young lady working last night at about 8pm. I ordered 2 little bacon cheeseburgers, 2 drinks and 1 regular fries for dine in. As we sat there waiting for our orders, I noticed that the people who ordered take out AFTER us were receiving their orders first. We were order number 00 but everyone after us were getting their food and we were still waiting. So I got up and inquired about our food when this young man curtly told me that they are still waiting for the fries. 5 people in the kitchen with several burgers already lined up & they had barely started the fries moments before I got up. My order was dine in. The least they could have done was give me my burgers and tell me that the fries will follow. I could have lived with that. But to be rude and tell me "we're waiting on the fries" then moves on to the next customer before I could even say anything was beyond what I expected. So the young lady grabbed my fries, added it to my bag of 2 burgers, apologized and gave me my food. At this time, I wasn't going to sit at the restaurant and pretend to enjoy my food. I wanted to go home so we did and once we got home to finally eat our meal....THERE WERE NO BACON on either burger. Needless to say, they messed up on our order AND they were rude and lazy. Went there yesterday, service was good, they say that the add ons are free but then they, charge me almost $12.00 for a cheese burger, fries and coke, they mixed up the coke with the diet coke, the bun completely fell apart, I did get grilled onions and mushrooms but again, if they (the add ons) were free, these 5 guys more than made up for it with the price of the burger and fries. Five Guys ... Five Stars ... Nope!!!! Five Guys has a pretty decent burger and menu but it lacks that customer service approach. During two separate visits to the Hayward location, I found that the overall customer services was average if that. The ketchup container was empty both times I stopped by, there was plenty of peanut shells on the floor under our table and etc. However the burger was pretty decent. The fries were not so much. This place is great. Their food might be deadly, but you'll die happy. The staff was friendly and helpful. I really liked the fact that I could order online and then come pick it up. No milk shakes are you kidding me!!!! Who the hell opens a cheeseburger chain and only serves soda as an alternative drink?? Who drinks soda these days??? For a fast food place the burgers were quite expensive. They were good, not great. You'll get more bang for your buck at In and Out burgers. Wow...after reading some of the other reviews here, I feel like my family and I got lucky! My kids LOVE Five Guys, so we decided to stop in on Saturday afternoon. Previously, we had only been to the one at Pacific Commons in Fremont, but this new one is a little closer to us, so we wanted to check it out. I don't recall the name of the guy who took our order, but he was very friendly--either white or Latino, young guy with glasses. My husband has celiac disease, and this guy even double-checked with a manager just to make sure there would be no flour added to the fries. (My husband has actually become ill at other places that claimed their fries were "Just potatoes," but we found out later they actually do add some flour. Note to anyone else on a gf diet: Fortunately, the fries at Five Guys are fine.) Then, while we waited for our burgers, another employee asked for a cloth to wipe down the table we were sitting at. I was a little surprised since she had her backpack on and looked like she was waiting for her ride home. When I thanked her for cleaning the table and asked, "Aren't you off?" she replied that she was, but said she was a manager and wanted to keep things clean. So, thank you Erica! I can honestly say all of our burgers (and of course the fries) were great, and my chocolate milkshake was excellent too. I'm sorry so many other Yelpers seem to have had a bad experience at that location, but maybe the managers have read the reviews and improved recently. My girlfriend and I ate here A couple of weeks ago. I ordered 2 small cheeseburgers and they gave us 2 normal cheeseburgers. They were quite costly so I felt inclined too take extra peanuts which I assumed were free. I couldn't take enough to balance the scary total.The hamburger was decent. You either love this place or you get into your jaded In n' Out attitude and hate it. I LOVE IT. It's quick, flavorful, and your taste buds will go nuts. I'm glad Hayward/San Lorenzo landed a much needed burger joint. Sam's is good, In n' out is alright, but this place beats them both. Order the regular cheese burger with onions, A-1, BBQ, cheese, ketchup, and mushrooms. This review is STRICTLY for this establishment. Yesterday both my husband and myself were attending a family reunion at Kennedy park across the street from this fast food restaurant. If you have ever been to this park you will know that parking can be really rough, so the best option is to park in the parking lot across the street. My sister in law was pulling out of her parking spot and a white Tahoe that was speeding almost crashed into her. When the situation was addressed the driver, who was an EMPLOYEE at this place began to scream and yell and cuss at her. My nephew who is her son and not to mention an 11 year old child came out and said that was his mom. The "man" then turned his attention to my nephew and said "I don't give a F***!!!" are you kidding me????? The "man" then went into work for his shift. My husband walked over to talk to the employee in a very calm manner and the employee said he was the one that did it. The "man" clearly didn't want to talk about his behavior or give an apology. My husband then left, about 30 minutes later the police showed up. They came over to talk to us and informed us that the manager called and said people were trying to jump over the counter to fight an employee. Really? The police were really awesome and totally understood where we were coming from on the situation. So I thought I would go ahead and write this review so you all know to not eat here. I have meant to go and heard alot of good things. I finally was able to make the time. And I was glad I did. Large burger with 2 juicy patties and lots of cheesy cheese. YUM! Meat was really tasty. Fries were great ! Hubby ordered the same and was very happy. I take off half a star for the price. It was only a bit below Fuddruckers which I find is worth the larger price because of the specialty meats. And hubby takes off half a star for the fact there was no variety. This is a good cheap eats $6 burger . It comes with two patties which is a 1/2 pound. Also comes with plenty of toppings with no extra charge. They give you a tone of fries which are hot and good. Quick service and good music playing. read more
