I purchased 3 cheese burgers and fries. Burgers were flat and burnt. French fries were soggy. Not worth $49.

I haven't had five guys in forever. Was craving a good burger and totally forgot about this place, but with the help of Yelp, I remembered where I could go. This classic burger joint has a small menu but is filled with options. I got the little bacon cheese burger, and the free toppings were endless. Some choices included grilled onions, lettuce, tomatoes, grilled mushrooms, BBQ sauce, mayo, ketchup, mustard, pickles, relish, green peppers and hot sauce just to name a few. I had mine with mayo lettuce and tomatoes. I also ordered the Cajun fries that had a little zing to it. Everything was cooked fresh to order and I watched them make it on the open grill. They had a station set up with condiments napkins and utensils to help yourself to. Two Coca-Cola machines were available for soft drinks and a dining area with tables to seat yourself while you wait for your order. They called a number from your receipt when your order is ready and voila, you got your meal. Staff was pleasant and very helpful and I enjoyed my food. Def won't forget about this place again!

Eh. There's something off about this locations food. It's not terrible but I've had better from other locations. I ordered a bacon cheeseburger and fries and it was BLAH.

Simple can be better Sometimes simple is better and Five Guys certainly adheres to this principle. Not a whole lot on the menu so if you want something other than burgers and fries you best go somewhere else. They do have a hot dog and a couple of sandwiches like a BLT and something called a veggie sandwich but the burgers and fries are the stars of this show. The burgers are the basic hamburger, cheeseburger theme but the trick here is that they have a zillion toppings, all free, that you can dump on your burger. Easy to get carried away with the toppings and a bit of restraint is usually good. The fries are also great and just oozing with fat, salt and grease, the way fries should be. They usually dump the fries in a big cup and then put that in a paper bag so they can spill all over the place. Five Guys does have milk shakes and a wide variety of drinks in one of those cool new self serve drink machine. Fun to mess around and mix different flavors. And if the burgers and fries weren't enough, Five Guys gives out free peanuts. You can just scoop them up from huge containers and have fun ripping and eating the peanuts while you wait for your burgers. This particular location was clean and the service adequate. Sure, Five Guys is more expensive that the real crappy burger joints and although it hardly qualifies as a gourmet burger is still pretty dang good. Especially when you factor in the fries and peanuts.

After reading the great reviews about this place my wife and I had to try it for our "Hot Dog…read moreTuesday" lunch. I don't give out 5 stars easily. This little unassuming place deserves every one of them! As soon as we walked in we were greeted by a very friendly man at the counter who seated us and brought menus. He turned out to be very helpful finding out this was our first time here. The store was well lit and clean. The tables were well spaced and not crowded in. My wife stuck to our tradition and ordered the RT 10 Dog with the spicy relish on the side. (Which was great for me) I couldn't resist The Hungry Bull burger. We'll just have to come back again for me to try their hotdogs. The 10' hot dog is a Martin Rosol's so the foundation of this hot dog is super strong. The sauerkraut was tasty and full flavored and just the right amount of mustard. My wife tried the spicy relish, that our server cheerfully supplied on the side, and it was a little too hot for her liking. Bonus for me. I got to put it on my burger. My burger came out stacked on a sturdy Brioche Roll with American cheese, onion straws and some very tasty horseradish crema. My burger was juicy and full of flavor. The onion straws brought the right amount of crunch. Halfway through I began to add in the spicy relish. Amazing. We got fries and onion rings and shared. The fries were big, crisp on the outside and creamy on the inside. Just the way I like them. The onion rings were amazing. I like when you bite into an onion ring and the whole onion doesn't come sliding out. These were perfect. Very good crunch and flavor. We have already decided that we will be back. I can't wait to try the hot dogs and the chicken sandwiches that were also calling my name.

I had a meatball sub, and my goodness, it was the best I've had in years; a perfect balance of sauce so that the meatballs didn't get overwhelmed. My husband had a chili dog and was gobsmacked at how they managed to elevate a seemingly straightforward dish. They used toasted bread, and the chili was the perfect amount. My son got one of their burgers and absolutely devoured it. Finally, their fries and onion rings are some of the best I've had in a while. I'm bummed that we are only in CT to visit family once a year, because this would definitely be added to our regular treat rotation.
