I haven't been to a Five Guys in years and I am sort of reminded why after this visit. The burger tasted like the frozen patties you buy in a bag at Kroger. Don't get the hype about them at all. The fries, on the other hand, were dee-licious. Hot, crunchy and salty just how I like them. Very spacious entry in the Five Guys chain with a typical Dublin brick facade adorning the entry. Food was what you have come to expect from Five Guys. The prices, though. Regular cheeseburger was well over $10. Total meal cost for myself and co-worker was $35. For that, we could have gone to a local brewery and sat down. Maybe beef cost, maybe Dublin, but certainly unexpected. Will have to pay attention to my local Five Guys. Seems they have had a case of price creep over five years but this was nuts. read more

I had not been to a Five Guys in several years. As I recalled the food was tasty, so I treated the family to a quick diner after a swim meet. My tipoff should have been that there was only one other table occupied at 7:30PM. In a word - disappointing. The burgers were just OK, but sloppily assembled. The fries were over salted, not just a little, but to an excess. The order taker looked like he/she would have rather been somewhere else. It took forever to get our food. The thing I like best about five guys is that (so far), it is very consistent and completely uncomplicated. The burgers are good. Thin patties on soft buns with the toppings you choose. My choice is a "little" burger (one patty) with grilled onions, A-1 sauce and jalapenos. More times than not, I need to take some of the jalapenos off...but that's okay. Rather have too many than not enough. My 18 year old son gets a regular burger (two patties) with bacon only. Of course he likes it...that's why we go back!! One regular order of fries is plenty for us to share. I'd caution anybody about the large fries. They really give you a lot. The fries are fresh cut and they have malt vinegar available which we love. It's cheap. It's ordinary. It's tasty. I wouldn't recommend it for date night, but I like it. read more

I came for an early dinner. I was one of seven people in the place. I ordered a double burger with bacon, grilled onions, lettuce, and pickles - I would have liked some cheese, but I am not an American cheese fan. I ordered a small fry and a small drink. Total tab $11.48. I enjoyed some complimentary peanuts while I waited about 7 minutes for my burger and fries to be cooked. The peanuts were fresh =). I picked up my burger - they must "mold" their burgers in the foil wrapper so that they come out as hard as a softball. My fries were over flowing the cup as usual with grease drenching the paper bag. I raised the bun and salted and peppered my sandwich. I took a bite of the burger only - the outside was grilled heavily, but the inside still had some juice. Normal Five Guy burgers to me are dry.... The burger was ok - not overly dry...the bacon was a little too crisp. Grilled onions were not as plentiful as in past visits. The pickles were pedestrian, the lettuce was sparse and limp, and the bbq sauce was straight from the Kraft hickory sauce bottle. In other words, it was extremely ordinary. The fries were tasty - needed salt and vinegar and tasted of their frying in the peanut oil. There is no way this even approaches a Graffiti Burger. You get no choice of cheese, you get too many fries that get thrown away, and the toppings are from the lower shelf of the grocery store. I also paid $1.00 more for my meal than I would have paid at Graffiti. Graffiti also has that kick ass slaw.... You 5 Guys folks say what you want, but Graffiti is the burger in Columbus. read more

On my visit today, I saw a well-run restaurant with good quality employees that still couldn't put out a product fast enough to warrant skipping the standard fast food chains. I love the big open space of the restaurant and the free shelled peanuts, but the high cost of the food ($12 burger and fries) and time investment makes this a stop I'm not likely to make again soon. The burger is fresh meat, cooked to order, but that just can't beat out the negatives. I'd rather go a few steps over in the same strip mall to "A Matter of Steak" and get just as good a sandwich for less cost and less time. read more

This was our first visit to this Burger joint after hearing that they have grown 40% over this past year and are planning on opening 1500 more stores. We were sorely disappointed. The establishment was very inviting and clean; however, our order was messed up from the get go. The Burgers were not at all impressive (cold buns) and the french fries were over cooked and hard. This place is really about as good as it gets for burgers and fries. We always use the app to order ahead of time so our food is ready when we get there. Well not the fries, they do wait until you're there to get those ready but they only take about 2 minutes so that is fine. The burgers are huge, juicy and made to order with just about anything you can think of that traditionally comes on a burger. Yes they are not cheap but they also aren't that much more than getting a deluxe type sandwich at one of the chains like McDonalds either. The real star, for me anyways though, is the fries. Their fries are fresh cut fries from Idaho and they always remind me of the fair fries we used to get when we were kids. I love to douse them in vinegar and then dip into ketchup. They give you a ton, you get a scoop into your basket of choice then they also throw a huge amount into the bag after. My wife and I split a small and it's just perfect. They also offer the cajun fries which have a little bit of a kick to them as well and are awesome for something different. I fell prey to all the talk, the hype and the buzz around Five Guys... yes, I ended up going... twice. This location is new to Dublin, and close to my house, so going was easy enough. Parking is sometimes difficult due to the many shops, restaurants (CiCi's, BW3, Coldstone) close by, but not horrible. The decor is pretty "Johnny Rockets-ish" minus the sacks of peanuts and potatoes that form the line queue. The food: I've been a few times, to give this place a fair shot. I've had hot dogs and hamburgers, and fries of course. Nothing stood out. When comparing this to other burger joints, I'd rank it on the "meh" scale. Sure, you get a lot of food for a medium investment, but the food isn't spectacular. The toppings are fresh, and the flavor is better than a fast food joint, but marginal compared to even a Red Robin (see my opinion on chains). So lets look at it for what it is: a small, pseudo-independent burger shoppe. As such, it executes well. Service is a bit slow, but you're treated well, and special requests are accommodated. Portions are big, and flavor is medium, as is the cost. Would I go back? Sure, but not because it's a destination, more because its a better alternative to fast food, and Graffiti is sometimes inconvenient to drive to. read more

I'll begin by saying the food has always tasted fine here. It is always fresh. We went over there for lunch yesterday for the first time in a long time. I had heard they raised their prices but we went anyway because a coworker was having a tough day and really wanted it. WOW! it was $35 (3 burgers, 1 large fries and 3 drinks) for three of us to eat hamburgers for lunch. I also noticed the size of the burger and bun are smaller. Furthermore, I noticed a tip jar, front and center at the register. This is a restaurant where you order at the counter, pick up your own food at the counter and pay a hefty price for the privilege. A tip?? Really?? While the food does taste good as I said above, there is no way to justify the price. I won't be returning to Five Guys. It's not THAT good. read more

I try to avoid 5 Guys because I think the concept goes way overboard on giving people calories. Granted people are responsible for what they eat, but when the smallest serving a fries would feed at least 3 people, that's not a good thing. I do however feel inclinded to eat at 5 Guys as I travel. They do make a tasty burger (to steal a line from Pulp Fiction). I however have to settle for the smallest burger they provide, as it alone is big enough for me (and I'm a 5' 11' 230 lbs man). So I stopped in to get a tasty burger at this establishment, only to get my order messed up. They weren't busy. It was a Monday night, and there were only three employees working. I was the only one in the 15 minutes I was there who came in. Some people were already there and got their orders as I was waiting. But other than that nothing could have distracted them from getting my order right. Not only were my topping wrong, but the mushrooms that I didn't want, so overwhelmed the burger because there were so many of them, that the whole bun and burger was falling apart. I nearly needed a spoon to finish eating it. I think the 2 rating says it all. Meh. I've experienced better. read more

French Fry coma is where you'll be after you eat at FGB&F. Wooooeeee they give you a ton. I love my fries salty and these do not dissapoint. I eat my fries before my burger and you're almost completely full alone just from the fries. The burgers are good, better than the super fast food joints for sure (BK, W, McD). Is it the best burger I've had? Nah!! But again it definitely satisfies you when you're in the mood for a good, juicy, greasy burger. I do love that when you unwrap your burger the cheese is super melted and yummy. One can never have enough melted cheese don't you agree? The prices are reasonable too. I'd recommend this place when you want to splurge on calories and get your comfort food fix on. The Avery Rd. store has always been super friendly and pretty quick too. Efficient and friendly service. Their burgers are good, but I'm not sure I'm willing to say they're the best in the area. I usually order their hot dogs more often than their burgers. Love their fries but I wish they were available in smaller sizes, as I usually end up waasting half my order. Their free peanuts are a nice touch, but they're so efficient in getting their orders filled that you only have a chance to eat a few peanuts before your meal. That's probably how they manage to not go broke offering free peanuts. Overall a reliable go-to place when you want quality American fast-food. read more

Pretty good burgers. The burgers are a little weak and almost always end of falling apart but 9/10 times I enjoy coming to this place. All the burgers are made to order but I would definitely recommend the bacon cheese burger. The fries are always given in surplus. You order a small and they give you a cup of fries and the. They throw in an extra scoop in the bag as well. So I never get more than a small, which usually ends up serving at least two people. This does make for a messy meal though so make sure you grab some napkins. Overall would recommend grabbing a burger here though. read more

Delicious hmburgers for decent prices. You get something fresh for similar prices that you'd pay for an angus burger at McDonalds. Its cooked to order to whatever you want on it off the board. The fries are great. We got a regular order that was more than enough for me, my wife and my 4 year old and we took some home. We got the cajun fries which were good but maybe too much seasoning. Next time I may try the regular fries. I would recommend this place to anyone who wants a real burger. read more

This is probably the best burger joint i have been to in Dublin. (compares to the shake shack burgers in New York). Way way better than McDonalds and Burger King. You can see them actually make the burgers. I normally get a bacon cheese burger with jalapeños mustard and ketchup. It is very tasty and it is real meat not like what ever they use at McDonalds. The one problem I have is that the seats are not very comfortable I once went to sit down and I thought the chair was wooden (because they made it look like wood) so I sit down pretty fast and the chair turns out to be metal.
