I signed up for the beautiful strength program in fall of 2017 and have continued on to train three times a week with the same group of folks. The beautiful strength series was a fun opportunity to meet like-minded people, and is well-instructed and structured. I very strongly recommend it, even if you have some lifting experience. The facility itself is nice, the gym members are good people, and I'm happy to be a part of the community. Do yourself a favor and check it out!

As someone who is just trying to learn the basics I was made to feel very welcome and comfortable. Strength training is new and difficult for me. The trainer Matt, made sure his instructions scaled to my ability which I found incredibly helpful. Gyms around town have such different offerings/cultures so let me highlight some specifics: 1. It's a studio styled - open gym, with lots of strength equipment: strength machines, kettlebells, weight racks, sled, tires etc. 2. Cardio here primarily involves lifting heavy things rapidly. No treadmills, no zumba classes. 3. It's clean, also they can open the bay door at the rear of the gym for fresh air which is a nice feature. 4. Very welcoming to different abilities, ages etc.

Its a small gym but it's loaded with hundreds of customizable exercises that are catered to each client, individually. Each personal trainer really takes the time to understand your fitness level and capabilities, and enhances your strengths by designing the right workout for you. From the fitness classes, to "boot camps," to tire workouts, and to one and one training, they make it easy to get a great, solid workout, every time! I'm never disappointed when I workout here!

Good since I haven't worked out in a long time and I'm just now getting back into it. The instructor and members were all really friendly and nice and went out of their way to make me feel welcome and included. They did mention this wasn't the normal instructor and that she is typically a lot harder -- so I lucked out for my first workout :) $5 drop-ins isn't bad at all which is nice if you have another gym membership but want to switch up your routine. Good vibes and overall fun experience so I'll be back to try some other classes real soon!

The staff is always welcoming, and the overall community here is truly something special. I've been an Orangetheory Fitness member for nearly 12 years and have visited over 125 studios across the country due to frequent work travel--and I can confidently say Coach Joan is the best, hands down. She immediately made me feel at home at the Tempe studio, always offers thoughtful modifications for my injuries, and genuinely loves what she does. Her energy is infectious in the best possible way. Whether you're visiting from out of town or looking to start a new fitness routine, I highly recommend this studio. Give the front desk a call--they'll take great care of you!

I like them equally since every OTF I've been to in state, and in other states, are set up similarly so you can just hop into any gym and get a great workout. This Tempe location is conveniently located on Guadalupe Rd near 101, in the Fry's shopping center. There's always parking, the instructors are great, and the staff is friendly. I will complain about one thing, and this isn't related to this OTF location itself but the OTF policies in general, I just placed a 30 day freeze on my account, I'll be traveling out of the country for almost a month. I was told there is $15 freeze fee, which I think is pretty lame. It's not like I could use my classes if I wanted to, so charging me to freeze just seems gratuitous. But that is corporate, capitalist America for you. I don't agree with this fee, but I'm not bothered enough to stop working out here. And OTF knows that. Anyway. OTF Tempe is great otherwise.

It kept repopulating the questionaire section and would not let me lock in the class. Plus you have to make a whole account and get put on an email list that will fill up your inbox. Annoying in 2026 but oh well. Get to a computer and see the class my friend is in is now full. Wouldn't have been an issue if the website worked on my iphone - there were still open spots when I originally looked. Okay i'll sign up for a standby spot. Credit card is charged. Figured it's like a hotel and it's a hold charge. No spots open up so I am not invited to attend class. Wait two weeks for my credit card to refund and it never does. 5-7 business days is standard, right? Wait until business hours to call and no one answeres the phone. Send and email alerting that i'm due for a refund. The next day I check my emails and see that they have signed my up for a "$200 NONREFUNDABLE" new client package?? Excuse me? Contact them and am told they charged me "by accident" and will refund. And if i'd never brought it to your attention were you going to catch your accident? Mind you I saw the email an entire day later and no one had caught it yet. WATCH YOUR CREDIT CARD STATEMENTS.
