Been going here since high school. Great food and super cool location. Anything NOLA is good here.

Salmon dip with pita bread was delicious.

The food is awesome, I was greeted with smiles and friendly faces. Service was prompt and your typical Fishbone atmosphere made my visit very pleasant. They also offer live music, I'd love to come back for that. If you're visiting Greektown this is definitely a spot to visit.

Heard good things about this place. We decided to split a shrimp po boy and get bowls of gumbo. Place is beautiful. Ate at the bar. Service was great and so was the food. Recommend the Ya Ya gumbo.

Tracy and I went to Detroit to see Cardi B we went to Fishbones to eat. We love appetizers so we got Calamari, Alligator bites and Oysters Rockafellar!! Oh yum!! Fishbones is a beautiful restaurant located near the Anthenium Hotel where we stayed...service was impeccable! Our bartender/waitress was Johnny on spot and drinks were awesome!! A must go to if you are in Detroit.

This location is a bit hard to get to. There is construction all around it and some roads are closed off on the side of the restaurant. Once inside, it has a nostalgic feel but also is big and open with plenty of seating. The service was lovely for our group of 4, our waitress was friendly and knowledgeable. We tried the coconut shrimp and you get a lot of small shrimp which was nice. I tried the jambalaya was good but could have been a bit more spicy.

This place is HUGE! I was a bit weary, due to some other reviews but I am so glad we went. Jessica was our server and she was friendly, knowledgeable and helpful! I got the braised short rib and it was perfect. A nice portion too, giving me leftovers. Pricey, but SO worth it. My husband got, étouffée, seafood gumbo and jambalaya. He loved the jambalaya the most, and the others were not too bad, he said he wished he would've gotten a larger jambalaya portion since it was so tasty. We would absolutely come here again if we ever make our way back to Detroit.

Went here opening day 4/4/25. It was an average experience. The management should've been better. All the food was cool. Drinks were fine. I loved my deep eddys lemon drop. Was disappointed that they didn't have the chicken & sausage gumbo. Especially after I had sat there waiting once ordered it. Thats the only reason i went there in the first place. The catfish poboy was pretty nice. The staff was polite. Drinks, silverware & Food took a lil long to come out. The waitress messed up the bills twice. Was surprised that they started yelling we are closed when 11pm marked the clock. They rushed their tables to exit. That was not ok! Is this a restaurant or a club? We are all adults... It was Very unprofessional & uncomfortable.

FABULOUS food, great service, and a gorgeous atmosphere. The building is so pretty. I'm absolutely coming back. It's hard to find good NOLA food in the Midwest, but man this is definitely it!!

Noted: All guests in your group must be present for your party to be seated.

Each course was imaginative and novel. I thought the flavors were amazing. The Caponata was amazing. When the server explained the course, I had no idea what it was going to taste like? It was so good. The other standout for me was the Tiramisu. I have never had a tiramisu like this one. Each course is on the small side, which I like. The restaurant is small. There is a bar area (maybe 10 people?) and a few tables. It is super cute and intimate. We were easily able to talk. Great service. Our server was attentive. She explained each course and was able to answer questions. This ranks near the top of my dining experiences. This is much more of an adventure. Probably not for the chicken-tendy crowd. Not inexpensive. I can't wait to eat here again.

There was a 2 top table at the back that we were seated at - we could have sat at the bar also - and it was a great spot. We ordered the tasting menu and WOW, every course was amazing. I'll post pics because the presentation was gorgeous for each item. They have a small cocktail and wine and beer selection, but that was fine. My son got their Shrub Mocktail and I got the Shrub with Sake. Both were delicious and so interesting. I can't pick a favorite item because they were all so good, but the Torched Mackerel and Poached Bosc Pear were tied for #1, followed by the Salmon, Oysters and the crazy good Blood Orange dessert. The shrimp toast was just ok for me, not bad, just not as good as everything else. Additionally the service was outstanding. For a tiny place they did everything right. They explained each course, brought out fresh utensils for every course - YEA! - and made sure we had good pacing. Our server was knowledgeable and friendly and enhanced our meal. I really want to come back and try the oysters and some of the tinned items. I'm so excited I found Mink and will be back for sure.

Most of our dishes were very tasty however I would not recommend the walleye panino. It was just ok and thought they were going to reinvent the fish sandwich but there is definitely other items that were very good. We also decided to go back yesterday for happy hour and sat at the bar and Brynn and Kelsey provided the best service I have had in a long time. They made the best martinis and were so fun and friendly! Our friends were celebrating their anniversary and we all had such a great time talking with them. I did think the food was a little salty. There were a lot of unique dishes, my husband is a more adventurous eater than I am so I tried all his fun dishes, but they weren't things I would have wanted a whole meal of. I had the chicken for my entrée, and it was a huge piece and tasted great, however, it was really missing something. I wanted it on maybe a bed of pasta or maybe a bruschetta to go with it (it had a tomato basil combo on top), but something was still missing. I also wasn't overly impressed with how things were plated, definitely nothing exciting to look at presentation-wise. I always hear amazing things and there has been chatter about this being a Michelin star candidate, but I don't think it met the standards unfortunately. I would still go back and try a different menu because again it was unique, the staff was kind, and I liked the restaurant itself.

From the outside, the building doesn't exactly scream "5-star seafood" -- I think it may have been an old Pizza Hut -- but don't let that fool you. The service was warm, attentive, and truly top-notch. You can feel how much pride they take in what they do. We each ordered crab boils and didn't leave a single thing in the bag -- every bite was incredible! Some of the most delicious seafood I've ever had. I almost hesitate to share this hidden gem because I selfishly want it all to myself, but they deserve every bit of recognition.
