Went here with some friends after visiting the casino. This restaurant is really great. The ambiance is perfect and I'm told it's one of the best steak restaurants in Detroit. I can't confirm that since I'm from the area. However, it was my second time visiting and I'm a fan - big time. I also had the truffle Mac and cheese side and truffle fries as a side. Food came rather quickly and service was extremely attentive. We shared cheesecake at the end which was pretty good. The best part is, you can dine at the restaurant and then head right over to the poker room so I was able to get comped immediately and know exactly how much the bill was ahead of time. We came here for my bestie's birthday and I was blown away! We had a beautiful private party room which was surrounded by glass walls showcasing wine bottles. Dimly lit, great music and incredible service. We ordered most of the food and cocktail menus. Those of us who had steak got to pick a custom knife. This is a great little oasis in the busy casino! My friend and I were seated in the more private area with sectioned off tables. Service was stellar, and the food was solid. My friend ordered a steak that she said she enjoyed, while I ordered a few sides. My absolute faves were the lobster Mac n cheese, the shrimp cocktail, and the corn. Oh my love... the corn!! I'll dream about it!! The cornbread was okay, but a little too crumbly, so difficult to enjoy it. My friend loved the carrots. We were seated in one of the "cages" which was more private and secluded from the hustle and bustle of the rest of the restaurant. Our server, Elizabeth, couldn't have been more friendly or helpful. She offered great recommendations on the menu, and was very attentive. We ordered the Shrimp Diavolo, Creamed Corn, Truffle Fries, D-Prime Burger, and 20 oz. Bone-In Ribeye with addition of truffle butter - everything was mouthwatering. The ribeye was cooked to perfection, although it had an exceptional amount of fat, even for a ribeye. Wedge salad was very good but cut up in to very small pieces. As we left, the table next got their edge salad served in quartered pieces as it should. The potato. Purée was excellent. This is probably closer to a 3 1/2 star review, but upon reflection I really was a bit disappointed in how the meal went. The room is beautiful, stunning even. They have definitely put a lot of careful thought into the lighting, the furnishings, and the overall ambience. Our server (Liz) was fantastic. She made it a point to check in on us at the appropriate intervals and was very friendly. Unfortunately the quality of the food just isn't up to what they're charging. My wife and I split a truffle macaroni and cheese as part of our meal, I know damn well what truffle oil is supposed to taste like and I didn't taste it at all in the preparation. If you don't want to put truffle oil in the macaroni and cheese that's certainly fine, but don't call it truffle if it doesn't have truffle. My burger was delicious. I don't know if it was worth the nearly $30 I paid for it, but it was certainly delicious. Quality ingredients and very elegantly presented. Drinks were well-made and very strong, which they should've been for the nearly $20 we were charged each for them. Started with the shrimp cocktail--chilled, plump shrimp taking a swan dive into cocktail sauce, a classy opener that says "I'm here for a good time." For the main event, I went with the traditional cut filet (the little black dress of steaks) and miso salmon (the funky scarf that somehow ties it all together). Sides were broccolini and a baked potato--because I'm all about that green life but can't say no to carbs. Service? Five stars, hands down. The staff treated me like I was somebody, not just another casino wanderer. The food's at a solid 4 stars for now--I didn't go all-in with their prime dry-aged steaks or desserts (my bad), so I feel like I only got half the story. I don't understand how the management and the wait staff continues to let a certain type of person scam the restaurant over and over by eating almost ALL of their meal and then miraculously find a hair in it or something wrong with the LAST bite and requesting a COMPLETE new meal to be put in a carryout container to leave ....two meals for the price of one when everyone knows that the first meal was perfect. I witnessed it twice on Saturday night. It's disgusting and that's why the prices are so high because the restaurant has to account for the scammers that come in there all the time. Had an absolutely terrible dining experience last night. We sat at the lounge area & did not get greeted for 20-25 minutes ONLY after I went to the hostess stand to ask if we had a server. The server finally came over after me speaking to a manager. She got our drink order & then gave us PLASTIC mini water bottles when we asked for water!!!!! I was in town for my brothers wedding and my friend made us a dinner reservation at the steakhouse in the MGM Grand Detroit. We also were able to use some MGM rewards to get 25$ off each of our meals (SCORE). I got the Free Range Chicken Tagliatelle and the Bread and Butters ( Cornbread in a cast iron skillet). My chicken pasta meal was perfection, the pasta was not over or under cooked and the white sauce had a great taster without being too salty. The highlight was definitely the cornbread. It was sweet cornbread, think Jiffy but super elevated in taste and texture. I also tried my friends steak and it was prepared well and I would recommend it to a steak person. The ambiance is great for a date night but I wouldn't suggest it for a first date unless you have money to blow. The service was good but I didn't like that the server didn't definitively answer any of my questions. He was however attentive. All in all I would return to this steakhouse again because it really checks all the boxes. Tip: Make a reservation. The casino can get busy. If I could give this ten stars, I absolutely would. From the moment you walk in, the restaurant exudes class. Latanya was our server, but it truly was a team effort. My biggest regret was not getting photos of our meal. Drinks were incredible. Two of us had the shrimp cocktail appetizer - the shrimp were fresh, clean-tasting, and not at all soggy. One of us had Asian short ribs for an appetizer and they were the best ribs I think I've ever tasted. For our main course, we ordered two filets (one chef-style and one with bacon and an egg), a ribeye (Oscar-style with king crab), a lobster tail, roasted carrots, a loaded baked potato, truffle Mac and cheese, and asparagus. I was heavily disappointed during my first experience here, and to make matters worse it was a simple birthday celebration. I ordered the lump crab cakes, and I proceeded to ask about the size of them. The waitress did say that originally they were sold as two small size cakes, but now the chef just makes one "jumbo" crab cake. I was disillusioned by the size of the crab cake when it arrived. This is closer to a 2.5 star review then a strict 2 star review. I came here for dinner with 8 other ladies last night for dinner. We had reservations for 8 at 7pm. They were not ready for us and we weren't seated until about 720pm which given that the pandemic still ongoing isn't that bad. We were shown to our table and it wasn't set for 8; just for 7. It took about 15 minutes for the last place setting. Our waitress came around and introduced herself. She then left after getting some additional drink orders. She didn't come back for maybe 30 minutes. When she came back, she took our orders. She took them around the table and labeled us by seats in her notes (this is important for later). Our food took forever to come out; in fact we didn't have our food until after 845pm...um I didn't think we were fine dinning in a casino. Most everyone's food came out as ordered. However, one of our party didn't get their mushroom side. She told our waitress that it was fine but that it shouldn't be on her bill. Our waitress took a long time to check on us for drinks. Water refills were practically non-existent. I had no water for over 20 minutes. No one came to check on us. We didn't get asked if we wanted dessert, not that anyone did but still. Then the absolute horror started. Our waitress brought us the check. For some reason, this restaurant is not able to do separate checks. Everything was labeled by who ordered what but it was all messed together. Drinks were all over the bill. Entrees by seat and then sides at the end. Though, there were some entrees and sides from the same seat next to each other. Our waitress told us that she could handle multiple credit cards...she just needed to know what to charge to each card. She kept coming back when we had the bill. We saw her more when we had the bill then any other time during the dinner. She wanted a credit card as soon as I figured out what that person owed. It was crazy that I had to figure out the exact amount for each person (meal, sides and drinks plus tax). She then was able to ring up each individual person. When asked, she was not able to add tip when she first rang up the card. The food was okay. My steak was cooked correctly. The broccolini was decent but the garlic and Parmesan cheese was really only one piece. I wish I had more creamy Horseradish. I will not be back because the whole bill disaster. read more

Came here a few Saturdays ago. We made reservations for 5pm right when they opened. We were seated quickly and our server (clay I think his name was) came over very quickly. We ordered a few drinks and some apps. We got the sticky ribs and the glazed prime strip steak, both were very good. For entrees we had the sea bass, salmon and burger.
