We were directed toward the elevator, asked if we had reservations and they called to ensure we could go up. I would make reservations that's guarantees sitting out in the patio. There was ample modern seating inside along with bar seating. Topa is a catchy name and its modern vibes did not disappoint. They offer craft cocktails, small plates and city views for days! My friend and I tried the Empanadas and the Bacalao Croquettes. First, we wished the empanadas had some meat along with the spinach and cheeses- not bad, a good crisp and the garlic aïoli was powerful flavor forward. The Bacalao Croquettes were delicious with the lemon zest and aïoli- would without a doubt order again. Our craft cocktails had a beautiful presentation and were delicious. The team working Friday were working all in sync to keep things moving smooth and efficient. Our bartender was soft spoken and friendly. From the moment we arrived, the customer service was incredible. The staff was attentive, welcoming, and genuinely made us feel like we belonged there. The food? Amazing. The drinks? Amazing. The atmosphere? Absolutely unmatched. This night was extra special because we were celebrating Whitney's birthday. They brought out her cake, sang with us, and made sure she felt celebrated. Those little touches mean everything. And then, as if the night couldn't get any better, fireworks started lighting up the Detroit sky from a nearby basketball game. Sitting on the rooftop by the fire, surrounded by good people, good conversation, and a city glowing in the background... it felt like a movie. What I love most about experiences like this is how they remind me why Just Party Life exists. It's not just about going out. It's about connection. It's about finding places where you feel welcomed, understood, and free to simply enjoy life. For a few hours, nobody was thinking about diagnoses, pain levels, flare-ups, or medical appointments.
