We walked in for a table of 5 at 6:30 and were seated promptly outside by the water, which is a lovely view. Our waiter was extremely nice, which is what is saving this from being a 1-star review. It appeared that our waiter was the only one on service outside on a fairly busy new year's day. We waited almost TWO HOURS for our food. Two hours!!! This was the theme for every table as we looked around, yet there were so many people in the kitchen making food. Where was it? Finally when it came, they messed up my friend's salad order, and my other friend had ordered the side lobster Mac instead of the full size. We didn't even bother to tell the waiter because it had already taken an obscene amount of time to get our food and we were starving. I ordered the lobster mac, and I can say with the utmost certainty that that was the WORST lobster Mac I have ever had in my life, and I've had a lot. It was completely over-baked to the point where with each bite I had BURNT pasta shells that I was crunching. Also, there was no cheese- none at all. I took a close-up picture for you to hopefully see. The pasta was oil and breadcrumbs. They also gave two laughable pieces of lobster that were so dry it tasted like rubber. I couldn't even finish this dish, and I've never not finished a pasta dish. This used to be a good restaurant, so it's a shame that it's gone downhill like this. We are locals and do come here regularly. The service and scenery are great and food is good. Very disappointed tonight. I come for the Paeilla! They have on the menu the dish is for two but have always made it as a single upon request. Tonight the chef refused to make it for one and it was not that busy. A lot of empty tables when we arrived at5:30 and left at 7:30. I did order the dish figuring I could bring home leftovers for another night's dinner or lunch I understand that restaurants are busy during season but the ones that are busy year round are the ones that will cater to locals since they will visit year round and we are at this restaurant very regularly until tonight. To top it off, the Paeilla was disappointing tonight. The issue I had with the dish was that the season was not mixed well in the dish and I had strong "seasoning clumps" while I ate the dish. Going to this restaurant was sort of insane, like the genre of insane in which you have to talk to the group you're with to make sure you're not hallucinating about the experience you're having. Whenever someone walked in, the staff looked as if the patron had just asked them to donate one their kidneys to them. The owners of this restaurant also have a cosmetic business specializing in lipstick and they have a very cool marketing campaign in which they demonstrate each lipstick color on every wine glass. Something also insane was the bread. It tasted like this one time I a quarter of an English muffin only to learn that it was covered in mold. So I was like "okay well now I know why it tasted so horrible." The wildcard was that we then realized it actually might be the butter that was so bad. 2 of us thought it was the bread but then 3 of us thought it was the butter that was so bad. My mom described the taste as like "a ziplock bag in a fish fridge." I don't even know what that means but I feel like I would probably agree if I had any experience with ziplock bags in fish fridges. We left as soon as we could and it was actually a blessing in disguise because we went to the bar a couple feet away and it was a less worse experience! You should go because I think it would be funny if you were to see the lipstick stains and also thought the bread was so bad. I was initially put off by the negative reviews, but we gave it a shot as they had umbrellas and a good amount of space between tables, so space for our large stroller. Service was attentive and kind (picking up the toy my baby tossed). Large cocktail menu. Fish tacos with mahi mahi were standard, but quite tasty. Tuna roll was also standard, but good. We really enjoyed our outdoor dining experience. The food was excellent and more innovative than the other restaurants in Venetian Village. The jalapeño margarita was as spicy as it sounds, so beware. I enjoyed it. We sampled the calamari and octopus apps and loved both. The 6 of us had multiple hot entrees, as well as sushi and all were pleased. The entertainment was also excellent. Restaurant was less than half capacity and we waited 15 minutes for a bottle of wine. I ordered the wedge salad and my husband ordered the lobster roll. It took 30 minutes for both to come out. My wedge was not a wedge at all. There was no iceberg lettuce in it. I didn't really mind, but feel they should have told me they didn't have iceberg lettuce. Isn't the cold iceberg wedge the whole point of a wedge salad? I hated that the dish it was served in was hot. It must've just come out of the dishwasher but salad should be served on chilled plates or at least room temperature. Way too much cheese. Lobster roll came out warm. We each placed our orders with a very nice polite server. Out of 4 orders, one order was not satisfactory... Salmon with sides, which was delicious and I ate part of it, until I took a bite and that particular bite of salmon was bad in taste.. yes, I did eat a third of the Salmon, but I was not going to continue, if I thought it would be food poisoning, we proceeded to call the server and he politely took the plate away. To our surprise, the hostess and the chef, accused me of eating most of the fish, and they couldn't do anything about it. They were both nasty and I felt very embarrassed. The food was very good and everyone enjoyed their entree however one in party ordered filet and it was cold. One bill was delivered to table and when were complained to waiter we needed separate checks his answer was "divide it by 4". He then snapped at one of our party that pointed at him and said "separate checks please" His reply was "don't point your finger at me". With that he took check and returned with 6 checks. No greeting, no specials, no drinks just wham bam get to it. The food was mediocre. We got clams in white wine broth that were bland, oysters on the half shell that were broiled with cheese, but again -meh, and jumbo shrimp cocktail which were sort of gross. FISH is a MUST-GO in Naples! The shrimp scampi & all seafood items are incredible. My husband and I visited on our honeymoon and had the best time. When we arrive we were refused to be seated because our table was given to the people they moved from outside (due the rain).
