Is a no brainer in regards to flavor. I will say I have a basis to the locations tho. I'm a precovid frequent dinner and take out was never really my problem thing when I frequented here because it had a certain ambiance with the service when ever I dinned in there that brought me back over and over with different people to experience. So I was so very disappointed when after Covid they continued with the only pick up service. The food quality is enough to continue yes but the vibe dining in and at the bar I truly miss. My daughters fell in love with this place because every time we walked into that dinning room there was a particular servers who KNEW US. They knew us enough to know my daughters had a favorite table (the 1st we sat at dinning there). They know us to know that my daughters had special distinction drink mocktails (one of the reasons the fell in love wit this place) that they could order even when it was no longer in the menu. This was one of those places we frequented....even if they couldn't get their special table or waiter, the quality never disappointed. During Covid we order delivery regularly because we didn't realize how much this spot because our Caribbean food must have. I can't say we ever really had tried a different meal from over favorable ones that made us say this is one thing they don't get right to us. And the rum punches and Bob Marley drinks they served during their dinning days is what got me to the pin t I had to start stopping in this joint just to have a drink and appetizers. This really used to be by spot back when they had dine in services. Over the years it's in our delivery/pickup Bronx favorite list unfortunately. I say unfortunately because now that we are back at full operational living. I har to slash the delivery/pickup weekly rituals to only situations of desperation not necessity. So this spot has only become a craving order delivery/pickup order spot. Not a I got some/gonna make some time to go enjoy a drink and some Caribbean food spot destination. Which this was my #1 default choice before Covid as I said this used to be my spot. I would take my daughters here damn there biweekly if not be there weekly myself on dates and when hanging out . Cause they people there were serious enough about customer service they would acknowledge knowing who you are and treat you as such. Don't drive too fast down Boston Rd because you might miss this small but mighty little Jamaican restaurant. I remember when Fish N' Ting first opened several years ago and I'm pleased to know that this family run establishment is still kicking. I would put it in my top five list for Jamaican restaurants in the city. The menu is wide and varying and accommodating of different diets. If you love jerk chicken, you need to try it here! The jerk chicken lovers in my life can't get enough. My recommended dishes are the whiting (fried) with rice and peas, rasta pasta and now the lobster (which I didn't know they had). The seafood is made to order, fresh and super tasty. I never thought sweet chili and lobster would be a good combo but it totally rocks! It was truly delectable. It's a quiet, no-frills takeout spot--I was the only one in line when I arrived, but a few people came in while I waited. The fish had a nice spice, but the escovitch dressing was missing that signature tang--didn't taste like it had any vinegar, which was a little disappointing. Called to order and the lady said 10-15 minutes and i got there in about 25 minutes because of traffic and had to wait on the lady to finish her conversation on the phone for her to charge by card and then tell me its not ready and i have to wait another 15 minutes. Once it did arrived I was extremely disappointed with their packaging. The plate almost dropped out of the wet paper bag. The paper bag was wet because the top of the plate was not properly secured allowing the sauce from the pasta to leak out. It was an absolute mess. I have ordered from Fish N' Ting many times. The food is always delicious. I particularly like their curry chicken and rice and peas.

I am a rum drinker so I was in heaven when we went to Fish N' Ting for Dinner. All I was thinking about was their rum punch and how many I can throw back (not many). I ordered the Jerk Chicken with the peas and rice. It was really good, very moist and not dried out. My rum punch was the best rum punch I ever had in the Bronx. Not too sweet and you can taste the Wray & Nephew rum. I'm so glad I wasn't the designated driver because we would have had to call an Uber. The wait staff was friendly and they look like they enjoy their job. They all seem so happy and had big smiles on their face and I smiled right back at them. Spantanous Sunday night cocktails with one of my girls. After two months in SC, we needed to partake in a little girl chat catch up. With the minimum requirements of good drinks and no excessive travel, she suggested FnT. Just so happens to be in her regular rotation and in my bookmarked collection. As many before me, when I bookmarked FnT I was under the impression that it was the typical West Indian to-go spot. To my surprise it is just that and more. If you would like to sip and dine then you head to the back where they have revamped and covered some outdoor space. We grabbed a high-top table off to the side and ordered some drinks and a couple of small bites. The Island Rum punch ($12) was good but not addictive like some of the best rum punches can be, I still had a couple along with a G-spot ($12). I ordered the G-spot last and enjoyed it more then the punch, I am aware that after a few rum punches my judgement could've been a little a skew but it was good. We ordered Callaloo Spring Rolls($6) and Fish Fingers($10) and both were very tasty with the fish fingers leaving a lasting impression over the spring rolls for me. Service was kind, attentive and helpful. All drinks and food were served promptly. The restrooms could've used some detailed attention, thankfully I only required it to wash my hands. We didn't order entrées because that wasn't what the night called for. However, on my return a food exploration is in order, as I have heard it's good and the Rasta Pasta is definitely worth a try. My friend suggested we hit this place. Thank god she check this place out online before we went... so she knew to ask for seating in the back. We were seated under one of the space heaters, but we had to ask someone to turn it off. After the guy turned it off... a girl from the table a few feet away say "I liked the heat"... We were like "Nah! That's directly on us and it's too hot. I ordered the Festival, Mac and cheese, Shrimp Rasta Pasta and Island Rum Punch. Festivals, Mac and cheese, Rum punch and Plantains arrived at the table. We told the waitress that we didn't order Plantains and we clarified it would not be on the check. It was on the check and we had to ask for it to be removed. Let me say though; I loved the Festivals. I wouldn't get the Rasta pasta again. My friend also ordered something to go but that wasn't sorted correctly. Our waiter was friendly and polite, so we weren't bother by it as much while he got the order corrected. Walk in and you are in what seems like you average bronx West Indian carryout spot. However to the left is a walkway that leads to a covered and well heated insulated outdoor restaurant. (I did hear some sitting by the walls complain of a draft but they had large tiki like heaters). We arrived at 930pm on a Saturday night. We waited about two minutes standing in the walkway without being acknowledged. At that point a waiter shouted across from about 3 tables over to two waitresses standing right in front of us chatting "hey you not gonna seat them." Service altogether was slow. To get our food. To be checked on. To attract someone to get glasses of water. To get the check. Only our drinks and food order was taken quickly. And at one point they brought out food and placed it in front of me....food I didn't order and that belonged to the table over. Food: We had the rum punch and lychee martini. Drinks were strong and delicious. To eat we had the fish fingers...served hot and good but could've used a tad more salt. The chicken and shrimp fried rice which was delicious. Great food, OK service. My boyfriend and I visited Fish N' Ting on a weeknight for some great food and quality time together. He loves this place and wanted me to try it out. Upon walking in, we walked to the bar and asked one of the staff for a table. The staff member was a kind woman who passed the task onto a male co-worker. The male staff member responde ignorantly but luckily we have a sense of humor and didn't even bother to respond. Secondly, decor in the main dining area isn't the greatest but it does provide that cozy, island vibe. From what I've heard, the back/outdoor space is much more pleasing. Food was too die for and pricing is so affordable! I ordered the curried goat with white rice and mixed steam vegetable while my boyfriend had the rasta pasta with chicken and shrimp. The curried goat was cooked on-point; Meat was fresh and seasoned so darn well, temperature was piping hot, rice cooked perfectly. There was nothing that could've been wrong about that meal. My boyfriend said the same about his meal. I did not have any drink, so I can't comment on that. Our server was also very kind and her service was awesome. No issues during our meal. I decided to pay Fish N Ting a visit because it has been a while and I remember really enjoying the Ackee & Callaloo Egg Rolls (highly recommended...try with some jerk sauce on the side for your dipping pleasure!). While the placement of the restaurant is quite odd (it's located on a block of car dealerships), you feel like you have escaped the Bronx once you walk in the establishment particularly on the back patio area which has a fresh Caribbean vibe. Friendly staff also added to the experience! I ordered Brown Stew Red Snapper which was yummy! I really wanted to substitute the Rice & Peas for Mac & Cheese which was of equal value however, the staff was not budging on the substitution since they said the sides were viewed as free and I'd have to pay menu price for the Mac & Cheese. Considering, this meant that the Red Snapper was essentially $22 on its own, which is very pricey for a piece of fish. Be prepared for a bit of a wait since the food is 90% made to order. read more

Yes please' this is such a cute spot in the Bronx, I would suggest Uber or taking a train because I surely didn't see any parking and it was PACKED with cars outside because it's a ton of automotive tire places on the street which block everyone! Nonetheless... THE food! I had such a delicious meal today, I will post pictures, but I really enjoyed everything. My waitress was such a sweet person. I would suggest the red snapper fried whole. My beau got the oxtails and he said they were delicious! We also got a side of plantains which were almost better than my home cooked ones. I'm so glad, that this restaurant always seems to please for the two or three times I've been here. This time I decided to try some of the drinks and was not disappointed just like the last time. Drinks came on time and they were super flavorful. My friend decided to try the oxtail and I took a small piece and was delighted at how flavorful it was. Then the last time I was here I ordered the Rasta pasta I completely demolished a meal, including the plate itself. I've never had a bad experience here with the exception of the time I had to sit in the front because the back was overcrowded. The firefly is made with Black Hennessy and is absolutely tasty ! It's ok.... the food was just ok. When you live in the Flatbush area of Brooklyn, where there is a West Indian restaurant on every block your standards are pretty high. The atmosphere had a real nice island feel and we were seated right away. We started off with some drinks that gave just enough kick to get the night started off right. My friends frequent the restaurant a lot and the raved about the food, so I took some of their suggestions. 1. Festival: in the shape of garlic knots and lacked the sweetness it was like a fried dumpling. 2. Chicken soup: lacked salt and every bowl was different (good thing it was complimentary) 3. It's a small tiny spot surrounded by auto shops. You wouldn't think there would such an amazing food coming from the kitchen. There's always a line a cars outside.
