My friend and I go to First Watch in Wake Forest about every month - our favorite restaurant. The food is always fresh, cooked to order and at the appropriate temperature. The staff are also wonderful - we're greeted with a smile and our server is always friendly and attentive. Highly recommend this restaurant. read more

My family and I went here for brunch on New Year's Day. I was able to put us on the waiting list through the Yelp app which was nice so we only waited for 5 minutes after we checked in. Server was pleasant and the place was bustling with lots of people. That's where the pleasantness ended. I have several reasons why I only gave this place 3 stars: 1) the silverware was dirty. Food was stuck to the tines of my daughter's fork. 2) my glass was dirty. It looked like pancake batter got splashed on it and no one noticed before it was put out again. 3) my daughter's hot chocolate had no flavor. Seriously how do you get hot chocolate wrong? 4) we all ordered biscuits and gravy. This is not normally the case, but that's what happened. When we've gone to other restaurants and I order this dish, there are pieces of sausage in it. I didn't see any pieces of meat in this gravy. It didn't taste fresh and honestly, it tasted like the last bit of sauce at the bottom of the pot. Sorry, but it's true. I'm not a picky eater. If you read the rest of my reviews, you'll see that I usually enjoy the food when I eat out. Not here. We will not be returning read more

I really enjoy the Fresh Watch Franchise. Mainly because of the options on their menu and the service has always been great. This was my first time at the The Wake Forest location and my mission was to stick to my meal plan. So I opted for First Watch and they didn't disappoint. My server was friendly and attentive, my order took maybe 10min, my option was calorie friendly, and most importantly my food was flavorful and delicious! read more

Good atmosphere, great service and awesome food. Great portions. I enjoy it every time I go.

As always, First Watch never disappoints. waiting time is minimal, the wait staff are friendly and attentive. The manager is ever present, always checking and also talks to the guests. The food is always delicious and comes out of the kitchen hot! I always eat my lunch and steal a few bites of my husband's breakfast. We love First Watch! read more

Quick review here. This place has become our monthly father / son breakfast spot in town. The food here is always fresh and tasty and there are many options on the menu. The service, like many places today, is not fully back due to staffing shortages which seem to be the "new normal" in many of the service industries. Anyway, we have been here three times since April and our experiences have always been good. Pro tip: hold a spot in line through their website. They will give you an estimated wait time and they will text you with updates. read more

Meh. Overpriced breakfast. I was excited to try it out for the first time since people had said that it was good. The pros as I see it: Cool decor, clean industrial somewhat fun. We were seated quickly but it was fairly empty so there was no challenge there. I like that their dishes are actual some sort of stone ware and not a melamine look alike. Food came out hot and promptly. Our server was attentive in food and if we needed anything. They offer Udi's gluten free bread for those who need it. The cons: The coffee was a bit bitter. The price is overpriced for what we ordered. Eggs bacon and toast for $11 add juice and you're at $14. It was tasty but not that great. Our attentive server never thought to offer us a kids menu that would have cut my sons breakfast cost in half. When I mentioned it,clearly disappointed, I received several apologies but no discount or coupon for a discount on another visit. I'm in no hurry to return. read more

This is not our typical type of restaurant for breakfast, it was new and we had a hour to waste before we could continue shopping so we tried this new restaurant. I am not a big breakfast fan but my husband is. I got the traditional breakfast with bacon and he got the chickichanga. We were seated at the community table which is like a bar. They have good coffee but only have raw sugar and stivia as sweeteners. My breakfast was ok to me but not worth $11. My husband enjoyed his breakfast, but not enough to return. I like to try new places at least once and I have. If you enjoy the farm to table meal with high end ingredients, this is the place for you. If you enjoy a simple farmers market breakfast, this is not the place for you. read more

We were here Saturday 3/26/22 around 9am and were seated right away, which was a pleasant surprise, but everything kind of went downhill from there. My Diet Coke was flat, waitress was very nice, offered me another but I just switched to water. Water tasted like pure chlorine, not sure that's the restaurant's fault though since it was probably just tap water? Our food came out within 5 minutes of sitting down, which was amazing because the restaurant was filling up with more people by the minute. I ordered the Belgian waffle with a side of bacon, my husband got the works. All the food was cold When it came out. We ate it anyway because we didn't want to deal with an argument. The Belgian waffle was ok, nothing to call home about, just like eating a piece of white bread, no golden buttery flavor like one would expect. The very berry compote that came with it was amazing though, I actually drizzled that over it instead of maple syrup. The side of bacon was 4 slices, 2 of those slices were crispy, which I ate but 2 were limp and barely cooked enough. My husband's omelet was mostly just full of large uncut onion skins and was bland. His potatoes were not fully cooked through making them browned on the outside but still pretty solid in the middle. Sausage might have tasted better warm. Our bill was $36.97 before tip. We were 100% disappointed. We won't go back. read more

no don't go here. this place is so loud & the food is so mid. $11 for a "french toast" that tasted like it'd been sitting out stale for months. & almost $4 for a glass of lemonade?!?!? it was literally country time mix & tap water there is no need to charge that much. also how do you not have pulp free orange juice? that is so bad. it also took a million years for the food to come, if you can't work through the rush than maybe you need better management. 2 stars for being next to lily maes, the only redeeming quality read more

Faith was our server today, she is really amazing! Very genuine and helpful. She got triple sat right after we sat down, and she kept her clam and treated us just as quickly and with care as a server would with only one table. Sometimes servers with this kind of calm and cool headedness don't get the credit they should! So we wanted to say thanks! If you go to this first Watch ask for Faith! read more

Entire sign up system on the app was useless! Signed up and it stated our wait was 30-45 min. Got To Resturaunt and reported in as per app instructions. They then advised wait began after our arrival. After waiting 20 minutes I asked for manager. She was courteous and stated we would be next seated. Took another 15 minutes. Then service started out good, but quickly went downhill. Took 30 plus minutes to get food. It was not up to par. Can't possibly recommend this location. read more

Updated Review: I want to say that after posting my review, upper management reached out to me to express their sincerest apologies for the frustration I experienced at one of their locations. They discussed my concerns with the local restaurant and even offered me an unexpected refund based on my order. I am apprentice of the way upper management and guest services handled my complaint, and because of this I look forward to giving that specific branch/restaurant another try. The five stars are for the way my complaint was handled. read more

During our visit today to First Watch we had amazing service! the food came out perfectly, it was all very clean and very friendly staff!

First time. Not sure what all the hype is about. French toast was bland. Plus I had hair in my scrambled eggs and food was not hot. I didn't even address it because what's the point nowadays. Thank God I pray over my food. Back to Metro Diner moving forward. Waiter Patton was very nice!! read more

I went here with a friend on a weekday morning, so It wasn't busy. We were seated promptly but then waited at least 15 mins for a waitress and that's only because I waved down the hostess and asked for a waitress to come to the table. Once we ordered food It came quickly, but we both got Benedict and the yolk was completely cooked (I wish I took a pic ) I've never ever ever ordered a Benedict and received a fully cooked yolk. I don't think I'll return here. read more

Food was excellent! And the server was great. My 7 year old granddaughter loved the waffles...Best she ever had.

Wow, what a great breakfast and awesome service from Jo. Benedict with lox was superb. Nice salmon, eggs cooked right, served on crunchy bread. Breakfast burrito is not traditional, but very good nonetheless. They even have a very nice coffee which you can also buy to have at home. read more

Made a join the waitlist at 0904, arrived and checked in at 0924. When joining the waitlist said 60 minutes. Upon checkin she said additional 30-45 minutes. At 1015 asked how much longer and she said 45- an hour longer. Left without breakfast at 1030, got a text at 1146 that my table was ready. If you are going to lie to your customers about expected wait time, don't even offer time. Horrible customer service and 0 empathy. read more

First Watch - Timestamp - Breakfast & Brunch Near Me - Wake Forest, North Carolina

I waited an hour and a half for a cold omelet and veggies. Don't recommend taking out in this place, they dont really pay attention to you.

When we first walked in we almost walked out because the noise from a group in the corner was deafening. The acoustics in the room are not conducive to quiet but this was off the charts loud. We were really glad that we did not leave. We had the Steak and Eggs Hash (a special) and the Classic Benedict. Both exceeded expectations. Our waitress was pleasant and efficient. When I noted a shortage of unflavored half-and-half in the bowl on our table she left and returned with a cup full of nothing but half-and-half. The has was bite sized pieces of medium rare steak mixed with their very delicious home fried potatoes. Two poached eggs were dropped on top. My husband usually likes only corned beef hash but he raved about his meal. My Classic Benedict was a generous portion of sliced ham and sliced tomatoes on a ciabatta roll topped of by soft poached eggs. The ham tasted less salty than the traditional Canadian bacon which made me very happy. The coffee is served with a carafe placed on the table for refills. Even the water comes with a bottle for refills. We will be back, hopefully at a quieter time. read more

I visited the restaurant on May 28. On top of waiting too long for my food, as I was leaving, there was a rug near the door that was not gripped properly. I tripped badly, twisting my ankles. One of which hurt for days. I reached out to corporate, was told my issue would be sent over the restaurant's team, never heard anything. I filled out a customer concern form online, nothing. Called the location to speak with the manager and since he was busy, I left my name and email. They provided me with his number which I called twice and left a voicemail, never received a reply. The manger I am referring to is Michael White. The lack of care from First Watch concerning this issue is terrible! I still have yet to be contacted for this incident. I will take it up further if necessary since there has been no resolution. read more

A new discovery! Our first time here. The place was packed and a 20 minute wait announced. We were seated in 18. The space is pretty cramped. Lots of tables stuffed in the space. It was a little difficult to manage my wife's wheelchair. We were able to get to our table, but we had to ask a couple of people to get up and move their chairs because there was not room between the tables and occupied chairs to get a wheelchair through. The people that had to move were gracious, but there should be a little more space between tables. The staff is in training, but extremely friendly and courteous. The food is uniquely prepared and absolutely delicious! AND FAST! A refreshing twist on breakfast offerings. We will definitely be back, but will download their mobile app to see how well it cuts the wait time. We saw that food could be ordered on the app and picked up, so a nice alternative if you wanted to take out and have a breakfast picnic someplace. Bottom line, the food was good, and made us forget any inconvenience from the tight space. We will be back! read more

First Watch - Getting ready for breakfast. - Breakfast & Brunch Near Me - Wake Forest, North Carolina

Delicious choices, pretty great atmosphere. Friendly staff. Excellent touch for Mother's Day with the chocolate gift. The only problem was that we were being rush to leave... several people asking to pick up our plates when my mom's was still half way. I understand you were busy. However, we are paying for our meal and should be able to enjoy it to the last bite and relax while eating not being harass to leave so you can turn tables. That was the disappointing part. read more

The new First Watch in Wake Forest fell a little short for me. I ordered a blueberry basil drink which they ran out of basil for the garnish and the drink did not taste like basil nor a fresh concoction... felt like it was out of a jug. The food itself was good, just not exciting - and for some reason I did not like that my wrap was served with hot salsa - I'm talking physically piping hot not spicy - the temperature seemed strange to me as I would have preferred a room temp or cold salsa. I did feel like I was eating more on the healthy side though (speaking of which there are calories listed next to each dish, which did kind of dissuade me from ordering something more decadent!). If a big group of friends said we were meeting there I would go, just not on my own. read more

The food is good when you dine in. Definitely over priced but a decent dining experience. Takeout is not good. They usually just throw the food in a box and you look at it wondering why you paid 15-16 dollars for the same quality of food you could get at McDonald's lol. It is one of the best breakfast restaurants we have so I stick with it. read more
