I don't usually write reviews but I feel this needs to be shared. A friend of mine was recently hired to wait tables at First Watch in Tyler, Texas. She was so excited the get this job as she is a positive "people person" and loves doing this type of work, serving others. Having my friend work for your business was a great asset. However, because my friend could not work weekends do to personal reasons with her child, , the general manager decided to humiliate and embarrass my friend by "yelling" at her in front of all the customers. This general manager showed a lack of professionalism AND character might I say. Not only did he mistreat his own employee but he mistreated his customers by his unprofessional way of handling this whole situation. The customers didn't ask for this managers rude and unprofessional behavior. I hope he reads this. read more

Definitely a great breakfast spot. Wait wasn't long, they offer online wait list. The morning meditation is delicious, very earthy and fresh. The coffee is fresh as well. Smoked salmon benedict has the most perfect poached eggs and flavor - I prefer extra hollandaise. The side salad has a nice coat of vinaigrette to pair with your Benedict complementing each other very well. If you want to eat here make sure you have 3 to 4 hours to spare. Just overall a miserable experience. Quoted 25 to 30 minutes waited almost an hour. We were crammed into a small 4 seater booth (there are 6 of us). Once at the table it took about 15 minutes to get a server to take our drink order. Drinks took even longer. read more

Decided to try this place out since it's relatively new and it did not disappoint! The ambiance/aesthetic of the restaurant itself is very welcoming-- very modern-day rustic feel. It's almost like stepping into Crackle Barrel 2.0 lol Service was great; our waitress Chloe was friendly and kept up with us despite the morning rush/busyness. I ordered the eggs Benedict florentine and my girlfriend got the Monterrey Club sandwich with a salad and soup. I don't know what was up with that bread but it's so soft and so fresh... it was almost unbelievable. The salad was also very tasty! I also had a Morning Meditation drink which I personally liked but if you don't like a bit of tart in your drink, maybe get something else. My husband and I go to First Watch at least once per week for breakfast, we have tried all the other local places and still come back! If you have to wait it's because you went during rush hours but they have an app that lets you check in online and get in line so I don't know how you can complain about the wait. This location use to be the home to The Egg and I. I was always a fan of that place. So, entered First Watch hoping that the service and food would be ideal. One star is being too kind. We decided to order DoorDash for Sunday morning breakfast. Upon receiving the order, we noticed that some things were not right. I ordered the chickichanga that was supposed to be covered in a Vera cruz sauce. It was only put on the two ends of the egg with a dollop of sour cream in the middle. The DoorDash picture shows the sauce should be covering the item. After cutting into the chimichanga, I noticed it was burnt on the inside and that there was not any chorizo in the burrito as well. The fruit cup that accompanied the meal was very small and only had 4 pieces of fruit in it. I called First Watch and spoke to the manager. I was told that the sauce was only supposed to be on the two ends of the dish and that the very small fruit cup was the only way to convey the fruit. After a few minutes, the manager did say that this is not how the sauce should have been and that they were told otherwise on how to serve the d. We've been to this location before and it was very lackluster. Unfortunately, this does not bode well for us returning even if the manager offered to by mine and my partner's lunch upon a restaurant visit. read more

We have been to this restaurant several times, and have finally crossed it off our list. First, they will NOT seat you until every member of your group is physically present. This would include parking a vehicle, while someone else goes in to register for a table. Second, their entry area is congested and confusing. Patrons registering, and patrons paying their bill and exiting are in a very small area. Third, in my opinion, their menu is limited. If you just want a simple, ordinary breakfast, this place is not for you. read more
