Pot roast, green beans, Mac and cheese, and mashed potatoes.
    Tina S.

I ordered the pot roast dinner from Mama's Restaurant and was really let down. The meal came with pot roast, carrots, onions, mashed potatoes, green beans, and mac and cheese--but everything lacked seasoning. The roast was tender but bland, and the sides didn't help; the mashed potatoes tasted like they were instant and the mac and cheese was especially mushy and flavorless. I was expecting hearty, comforting food, but it just didn't deliver. Hoping this was an off day, but I likely won't be ordering again unless the flavor improves.

    So cute near cash register.

The food was delicious. I got a spinach & mushroom omelet and pancakes. I made 4 meals out of it. Their salsa is yummy. Our waiter was very nice. I'll be back !

Food was amazing-- hot and fresh. Service was good, not excellent, but far from bad. Hole in the wall, good breakfast!! Will definitely be back.

They were so friendly. The price of the food and portions were so good. But the food was okay.

The check in time was adjusted multiple times because of some small complications with my treatment. They adjusted and flowed with the roller coaster. There's plenty of nice local establishments, but some can be pricey and some are just more casual than you want. Scott Williams has perfected the restaurants of Tyler that are balanced between affordable and still quite nice. He got his toes in the water with FDs, before expanding into Javi's, Twelve, and now the fanciest of them all in III Palms. I thought of all those options, Twelve would be the most unique and tasty for my girlfriend and I. We went in an hour before they closed on a Sunday and were seated immediately. We weren't too hungry so we didn't expect to be there past their closing time, and we were ready to go. Our waiter was quick and attentive, bringing us water and helping us decide on drinks from the bar and our order. He also showed us their insane over-the-top whiskey menu. If you like whiskey, give Twelve a shot I guess. To order, I just got their 'Osaka Style' Pressed Roll while my girlfriend got a Sushi Bowl Salad. We got Sweet Potato Fries to share. As for drinks, I started with their Monkey See, Monkey Do, an impressive and firm beverage, while my girlfriend ordered their Destin Dream, a fun Pina Colada-like drink. It wasn't long before our food came out. The sushi was beautifully plated with some wasabi and pickled ginger on the side. I destroyed all the rolls. They were all very fresh and very high quality, which was remarkable for their $13.50 price tag. My girlfriend's sushi bowl looked insane. She ate most of it, but I filled the gaps and devoured the rest of it. The sweet potato fries were crispy and heavenly like all sweet potato fries usually are. I felt adventurous and I got a second drink of their Rose Garden, which was simple but flavorful. Compared to FDs, the menu might be a little more sea-inspired and more adventurous, but I think it leads to better, more unique food, especially with offerings like Oyster Rockefeller and a sushi bar. I also know Twelve does a great brunch as well, so keep that on your radar. Ultimately, as the bill came, the price was very manageable even with the alcohol. It's nice that you don't fully have to break the bank to have a nice meal in Tyler thanks to places like Twelve. I rate it a 12/10. Get it? hahahaha... RIYL: A slightly adventurous, but affordable night out.

We were seated immediately at a clean table - no last minute wipe down that leaves the table sticky - our server was quick to take our drink orders and not pushy to get our food orders. The menu is very extensive so it took the man a couple more minutes to decide but as soon as I saw that double BLT sandwich I knew that was going in my belly! He ordered a meat lovers skillet, it seemed to us a small serving with more potatoes than meat, but he said it was tasty. I ordered the double BLT with candied pepper bacon. It was an exquisite sandwich. The bread was toasted to a beautiful crunch, the meat, tomatoes, lettuce were a good ratio to the bread. The aoli was good, too... not too sweet or hot, just full of flavor. This BLT was also BIG... I hate half and he ate the inners of the other half. He said for diner coffee it was really good and had four mugs! I had Diet Coke. You pay at the table. Our server was attentive and the food was good, the diner was very clean - even the glass doors. Will go again when we're down in Tyler.

Not cheap but we get two meals out of an entree so worth it. The popular appetizer of mini filet mignons in pastry is not our favorite. They were soggy and lacked flavor. But that was the only disappointment. The Halibut special was excellent! Served over ricotta ravioli and big! The chicken snitzel with a lemony sauce was even better and also enormous. The pozole soup and lobster bisque were both excellent! A meal by themselves really. We brought lunch home for the next day. We typically eat on the patio but weather did not permit. The interior dining can be noisy but we did not feel crowded. Recommend skipping brunch and coming at 3:00 for the dinner full menu. Have a cocktail in the lounge first for a better experience.

There's a few different indoor dining areas, an indoor bar with more relaxed seating, an outdoor patio dining area, a live music mini amphitheater that had a solo lady serenading our Sunday brunch, and there's a large venue building and outdoor area off to the side. We sat outside in the patio area because the weather was perfect, and enjoyed the free show while sampling their brunch menu. Service was very personable and attentive, and I noticed it wasn't just our server. It looked like they put a lot of focus on making diners feel welcome, helping them navigate the menus, joking with the tables, answering questions, etc. The brunch menu had the greatest hits you'd expect and both of our choices came out quickly and tasty. Their cocktail menu has some great concoctions as well if you're looking for something spirited to go along with your eggs. Long story short, from our out of towner one visit perspective, I'd tell others to check out The Grove if you're in Tyler and looking for some good food and service in a beautiful surrounding.
