The fish is light and crispy. The shrimp are large and oh so good. Love the sides. The drinks are great and so is the sweet tea. Our only complaint is that it is sometimes cold in there! Service is always extra friendly. We drive 45 minutes to get here because its worth the drive.

Definitely have to try the crawfish next time

I arrived a little late 730pm on a Tuesday evening. I started the worry because they're the place was empty. I was promptly seated and ordered the catfish basket with shrimp and side of okra and Boudin link. The catfish was lightly breaded and definitely a large portion, it was cooked perfectly. There were two large butterfly fried shrimp that needed a little sauce that tasted very good. The Boudin Link was delicious and I'm glad I got it. Needless to say the catfish basket with two shrimp definitely filled me up and hit the spot.

This place was really great when it was new and during the first few years. Sadly the service and food have declined and I refuse to go back. The last and final time we went we knew we would never return. We had four in our group and went for breakfast. All of the food was too greasy and bland. The hush puppies might have been leftover and refried. They were that bad. I was disgusted. Service was terrible. It was $100 for the worst meal I have ever had. A fly was circling our table the entire time. The dining area smelled like old rancid seafood. Tables were dirty. Floors were dirty. I could not wait to leave. My husband had grits and they were overcooked and disgusting, catfish was extra foul, quite pungent, overly greasy and the texture and flavor was off. The white gravy was lumpy, gray and tasted of old flour. The waffle was rubbery. We will never go back.

We love seafood, Cajun food boils etc.. The menu is quite large and I struggled finding the plate that actually fit what I wanted to get so I wound up getting fried catfish fried shrimp, a side of onions and coleslaw. My husband ordered fried shrimp at etefe' with rice and french fries. We also ordered the seafood fondue. We were starving. We did come home with a to go box.. I did not like their tartar sauce. I did not like their cocktail sauce, nor did I really like their slaw. All of them tasted like they come from a bottle or store-bought. The onion rings are very good. They are hand battered. My family cooks great fried seafood at home so it has to be super good to get a five star for me because we do that at home. They do have a seasoning and I guess they make it. They also sell it there.. it is very good and everything on your plate will need sprinkled with that or I would consider a bit bland. Their decor in there is really fun and eclectic makes you feel like you might be in New Orleans for just a minute. We would go back. I think I would try to order a little different.

Fried fare is a tad over breaded, but tasty. The grilled dishes are not good and forget it if you think you want Cajun food!

There's plenty of nice local establishments, but some can be pricey and some are just more casual than you want. Scott Williams has perfected the restaurants of Tyler that are balanced between affordable and still quite nice. He got his toes in the water with FDs, before expanding into Javi's, Twelve, and now the fanciest of them all in III Palms. I thought of all those options, Twelve would be the most unique and tasty for my girlfriend and I. We went in an hour before they closed on a Sunday and were seated immediately. We weren't too hungry so we didn't expect to be there past their closing time, and we were ready to go. Our waiter was quick and attentive, bringing us water and helping us decide on drinks from the bar and our order. He also showed us their insane over-the-top whiskey menu. If you like whiskey, give Twelve a shot I guess. To order, I just got their 'Osaka Style' Pressed Roll while my girlfriend got a Sushi Bowl Salad. We got Sweet Potato Fries to share. As for drinks, I started with their Monkey See, Monkey Do, an impressive and firm beverage, while my girlfriend ordered their Destin Dream, a fun Pina Colada-like drink. It wasn't long before our food came out. The sushi was beautifully plated with some wasabi and pickled ginger on the side. I destroyed all the rolls. They were all very fresh and very high quality, which was remarkable for their $13.50 price tag. My girlfriend's sushi bowl looked insane. She ate most of it, but I filled the gaps and devoured the rest of it. The sweet potato fries were crispy and heavenly like all sweet potato fries usually are. I felt adventurous and I got a second drink of their Rose Garden, which was simple but flavorful. Compared to FDs, the menu might be a little more sea-inspired and more adventurous, but I think it leads to better, more unique food, especially with offerings like Oyster Rockefeller and a sushi bar. I also know Twelve does a great brunch as well, so keep that on your radar. Ultimately, as the bill came, the price was very manageable even with the alcohol. It's nice that you don't fully have to break the bank to have a nice meal in Tyler thanks to places like Twelve. I rate it a 12/10. Get it? hahahaha... RIYL: A slightly adventurous, but affordable night out.

My friend and my girlfriend both ordered their espresso martini that my friend claimed was the best espresso martini in town, while I got the bartender's recommendation of the Animal Style, a pineapple and jalapeño infused tequila with strawberries, cardamom bitters, and a lemon peel garnish. Normally, I hate any drink that is spicy. I cannot stand a Bloody Mary because I don't believe drinks should be allowed to be spicy, but this one, for having jalapeño, is not spicy at all. If anything, it's slightly savory with its tropical flavor. The bartender was great. They have appetizers and tapas as well and as my girlfriend sat down, she really wanted just one of their fresh oysters. I ordered her just one to try and it was $4.25. They gave us the smallest one they could find. The tiniest oyster of all time. I guess size really didn't matter because according to her it was very good. I would go back and have a few more cocktails, but it is a nice place to hang out on the square on a Friday night. A good time to be had by all. RIYL: The finest, most $15ish cocktail you can find.
