This one was a little hard to stomach. I came with my friends who like to get the seafood boil here. I tried a little bit of it, and it was okay. I know they like it. It has a distinct sauce. I ordered a fried shrimp sandwich, and it was quite disappointing. The shrimp was alright, but everything else in the sandwich was not that great. It lacked flavour. I asked the server what it included as the menu didn't say, and she failed to inform me there would be pickles in the sandwich. It came with a mountain of fries that were also not very good. Haven't been in months. Tonight seated right away. Greeting by a friendly server. Helped answer questions and took our order. Food came quicker than expected and was amazing. I geeked out at the delicious,hot, buttery, clam chowder in a bigger than average bowl. a simple pleasure that I swear calmed down my allergies here. The boiled garlic butter shrimp by the pound was bigger than the other similar style seafood restaurants and had great flavor. Fried calamari basket did not disappoint either. He payed no attention, was quite rude, and gave our appetizers super late hense they were cold! Their food is good but some of their staff is not. Absolutely atrocious. I couldn't eat one full crawfish and I attempted on multiple before I just got too grossed out. I was questionable at first I've eaten at a lot of seafood places over the years. Ain't here first time yesterday with my kids and their friend. I gotta say it hit the spot. Three of us got half pound snow crab with all the fixings and the Kidsville slightly over $100. You can't beat that and they gave you a great portion of a meal. The waitress was excellent. I went to the laughing crab recently with a friend and enjoyed my meal. The food was seasoned very nicely. I had 1/2 pound special with cajun/butter garlic- crawfish, shrimp. It was very flavorful. I also ordered the huahpuppies. My little one had the catfish basket and it was great. Seasoned well and a good portion. My friend had sausage and fish basket and she said it was good. I think our server was a little frazzled. She ordered my shrimp wrong and gave my friend sweet potato fries instead of regular ones. We didn't say anything because she seemed so overwhelmed and even paid for the upcharge. The restaurant was clean and full of decor. I will definitley be back!! Walked in to this new establishment expecting some growing pains that are common of newly opened restaurants, but was very pleasantly surprised with the incredibly friendly and attentive staff. We were quickly greeted and seated and offered water (they let us bring our boba in, which was so cool of them!) We ordered oysters on the half shell as an appetizer and they were fresh and very well cleaned and shucked! The cocktail sauce was a bit sweet for my taste, so I just added more horseradish. For our main, we ordered the combo of snow crab, shrimp, and crawfish (we chose the option with 1 lb of each), which also comes with two corn on the cobs and potatoes. After getting our food, we ordered some additional sausage (1/2 lb) and these things were Deeeeelish!!! (As a hint to the wait staff... this would have been a good opportunity to suggest adding some to our order). When you come here and if you are a fan of sausage, this is a must get option! For our sauce, we chose the house special with medium spiciness, which was a bit too mild for us, so they promptly offered extra chili powder which really hit the spot. We started off with what my hubby dub, " best piña colada I have had in a restaurant". My drink was also very good, the JaCrystal (rum, crown apple, peach orange juice, and cranberry juice). The staff was very friendly from the greeting at the door to our young waitress. My hubby and I dashed in for a quick appetizer(s) and a drink. Tried here tonight my kids ate there a few weeks ago I've been wanting some good boiled shrimp and crab. It was clean staff was friendly and helpful with the menu. I had the combo with boiled shrimp lobster and snow crab. Cajun seasoning medium heat. The shrimp was over cooked and the seasoning was over the top that's all I tasted for the most part. I will only comment on the dish I had for dinner. My wife had the fired catfish and she said it was tolerable. I had the scallops and sausage combo. It was the worst seafood meal I can recall ever having. Served in a bag, no taste, no texture, simply awful. The service was great, let's start there, the waiters were very friendly and courteous; however, the food is very bland. We didn't order anything fried (so I can't speak for their fried seafood) besides the cheese sticks that were not stringy. Very strange. The boiled items come saturated in butter and seasoning at the surface, but once you get to the meat of the food it simply doesn't exist (I was having to dip the meat in the butter concoction just to get a semblance of flavor). Just as a warning they will sell you frozen crawfish because it is not in season (was told this directly by the assistant manager when we brought it to his attention that the crawfish meat was tough). In hindsight, they have on the menu next to crawfish the words "seasonal." However, typically restaurants will simply not have it available if it's out of season. Not so much here. Giving some grace since they did just open,hopefully the philosophy of "the only way is up from here" rings true for the future of this restaurant. read more
