Sushi and sashimi plate with a bunch of yummy, fresh fish
    Grace A.

This was a really affordable AYCE sushi spot. I came here to celebrate my dad's birthday and it didn't disappoint. The sushi was fresh and our server was attentive and really patient. He even put a candle on my dad's ice cream for his birthday. This place is really spacious, clean and easily accommodated our party of 8 adults and 3 kids. They put us in the back which is perfect because we basically had our own room and the kids were able to run around. Husband ordered for us both while I ordered for my dad. Husband ordered a bunch of sushi and sashimi. All were really good and really fresh. I was incredibly impressed by the quality. If I'm ever in Tyler again, I would definitely come here to get my sushi fix.

Very nice server, very friendly and I'm kicking myself for not getting her name. Very beautiful building and decor. Service is fast. I went around lunchtime and everything was absolutely delicious! Amazing and quite reasonably priced.

I'll start with the good stuff 1st, and then I'll move on to my negative. For AYCE, they are pretty well priced . There is a lot on the menu to choose from ranging from appetizers, hand rolls, specialty rolls and desert . All of the rolls I have had have been great . Honestly the Tokyo is my absolute favorite! I have since moved away and I am so sad I won't get the chance to have the tokyo anymore . The wait staff is pretty solid , some are hit and miss but for the most part they have it on lock . Here is the negative and it's a big one . The had seated us by the kitchen area door, I believe the bathrooms were on that same side . I don't usually sit over there it was my 1st time . We're sitting at our table and I look up on the wall and see a roach scaling the wall towards the kitchen . I was pretty freaking disgusted. That was the only one I saw and have not seen one since but it grossed me out . When there is one , there is usually more . To be fair I have been back , even though I told myself I wouldn't go back . That Tokyo is that good . I hope they don't have a bug problem , that's never good .

This is a great place for quality all you can eat sushi and more. Staff are friendly and service is good. They are very attentive and quick to bring you additional items. The food is ordered from your table and brought out in small portions or individual sushi rolls. The whole experience is fun and enjoyable. You can order AYCE or individual rolls if you prefer. The building is large, with a nice feel. Clean and quiet enough to enjoy conversation with your meal.

The food is delicious and cooked fresh to order from their menu with many choices. Service is wonderful. We have been many times and enjoy it every time!

Excellent, fresh food and a heck of a value. Highly recommend! Heads up- don't be in a hurry! Everything is made to order and not just sitting around. It's absolutely worth the patience.

I assume the owner was who helped me. He was very kind and laid back when DoorDash had miscommunicated to the both of us. Me and my boyfriend keep coming back here it's really good, we always do take out but would love to experience dining in next time we're in town. Also, as someone who eats gluten free I've really just been clinging to the California Rolls.

Lunch menu and there's a backside too.

WHOA!! Mind blown. I was absolutely not expecting an all you can eat experience like this! I know the place is new, but man it feels very elegant and comfortable. My wife and I stopped by based on a recommendation from our son... and he was on point. The lunch AYCE was priced at $21.95 a person, and there are plenty of options to choose from. We started with some apps and got the egg roll, as well as, the edamame. It was a single egg roll divided in two, but remember this is an AYCE so order as many times as you want. We ordered some sushi rolls, and our "go to" is always the Dragon Roll wherever we dine at. But we wanted to try some new local flair, and let me tell you... The Texan Roll was MY favorite, as the Rock & Roll was one of my wife's fave. We ordered the Texan a couple of times, along with the Dragon, and R&R. We also ordered the Chicken Hibachi w/ Noodles and vegetables. Very delicious and very filling. It was only lunch, so we didn't go too crazy with the rolls, but next time, the wife and I want to experiment with more Roll flavors. If you have a fave or recommendation, shoot me a reply and let me know Other than that, the staff was amazing, on top it, courteous, and kept checking in with us for any additional orders. Again, I wouldn't be shy of bringing a date to an AYCE place as fine as this. Extremely spacious with plenty of seating. Coming from the PNW, we have ample choices for Sushi cuisines but so far, this place is my favorite! As always... Enjoy and Happy Eating!

We came on a Saturday night and were sat immediately, the ambiance was nice and cute. Our server was okay, we had asked about a few menu items but she hadn't tried them so she didn't have much to say. I ordered the matcharita, which just tasted like a margarita and I didn't taste much green tea 8.5/10. The Fried Gyoza was fresh and pretty good 8/10, I ordered the Jalapeño Roll and if you like tempura fried sushi then you'll really enjoy this 8/10. However I wish I had gotten another Roll that was cold, but that's completely on me as I'm not a huge fan of fried/warm sushi. We got two desserts, the Tempura Oreo which tasted pretty good 8.5/10 and the Tempura Cheesecake that our waitress had recommended, also good 8.5/10. Overall the food was pretty good, but what threw us off was that when we got the ticket we were charged for the buffet because our waitress said sometimes it's cheaper that way. Luckily she adjusted the ticket because it saved us $30, so I'd say just be aware of that.

You come back to a place like Happy's, and it tastes like a Michelin Star establishment compared to the seafood up in Lubbock. Where is that fish from? The ponds? Ain't no way. Happy's is a staple of Tyler. Owned by the same team as Mercados and Posados, Happy's is their only seafood establishment, and it is a fine piece of art. Inside, there's plenty of lamps and fish hanging on the walls and decor that feels strongly inspired by Mardi Gras. The truest display of their beauty is a chandelier made of Corona bottles. I was meeting my aunt and uncle for lunch with my girlfriend, and my uncle knows this place up and down. You could tell it's one of his favorite spots in Tyler by how he lit up when I suggested it as the place we go to lunch together while I was visiting. We used to go quite a bit when I was still living in Tyler, and he still knows the name of the waitresses and they love him back. I went for the Catfish Po Boy because man did it sound fire. I got it with a side of fries and fried okra. The okra was great and the fries were super crispy. The Po Boy itself was the star of the show. I unwrapped it and destroyed the entire thing. The catfish side was super crispy and delicious and had a fantastic flavor. It tasted fresh and I knew it was really special. My girlfriend got the gumbo and thought it was incredible as well along with eating half of my fried okra. Happy's might have some of the best seafood in Tyler. It's a great establishment, and I was proud to be able to show it to my visiting girlfriend as the pride and joy of some of the food Tyler has to offer. RIYL: Something fishy

My friend and my girlfriend both ordered their espresso martini that my friend claimed was the best espresso martini in town, while I got the bartender's recommendation of the Animal Style, a pineapple and jalapeño infused tequila with strawberries, cardamom bitters, and a lemon peel garnish. Normally, I hate any drink that is spicy. I cannot stand a Bloody Mary because I don't believe drinks should be allowed to be spicy, but this one, for having jalapeño, is not spicy at all. If anything, it's slightly savory with its tropical flavor. The bartender was great. They have appetizers and tapas as well and as my girlfriend sat down, she really wanted just one of their fresh oysters. I ordered her just one to try and it was $4.25. They gave us the smallest one they could find. The tiniest oyster of all time. I guess size really didn't matter because according to her it was very good. I would go back and have a few more cocktails, but it is a nice place to hang out on the square on a Friday night. A good time to be had by all. RIYL: The finest, most $15ish cocktail you can find.
