Chinese buffets remain my guilty pleasure and I really need to cut back. I enjoy it at the time and the next day, regret the choices. That said, Eastern Buffet in Lindale was better than average, Steam tables were tidy and they had disposable plastic gloves for those who didn't want to touch the scoops or tongs. Mostly noodles or rice dishes or things with a lot of sauce, but I managed to find some options that were mostly protein. The pork, chicken with broccoli and baked seafood were quite good and not covered in sweet sauce. There was a very nice selection of sushi that was fresh and to stay mostly keto compliant, I only had a few pieces. Wait staff was attentive at removing dirty plates, refilling my drink and finally, bringing the check. The restaurant was clean, both inside and outside. I enjoyed my meal. One of the best Chinese buffets around. They have a grill if you want a custom made bowl or the buffet. The buffet has the usual fare plus extra things. The food is always hot & fresh. The staff is also very attentive. read more

If I could give it 10 stars, I would. I'm a solo traveler in town for business staying at the Hampton Inn around the corner. Loved how close this was to my hotel! Sometimes I get nervous about coming to places like this by myself, but I was warmly greeted and immediately seated as soon as I walked in. As many others have reported, the food was fresh and employees were actively on the buffet line replenishing items that were running low. I LOVED the soup bar! Hot & sour, egg drop, wonton soup.... The lo mein noodles were delightfully sauced and the chicken wings were crispy and juicy! Overall, I was super happy with this experience, but even happier when I got the bill and it was only $14?!?? (I'm guessing they charge $12.99+ tax for the dinner buffet which is CRAZY!!!!) Will definitely come back here when I pass through town. Might even come back again tomorrow :p read more

Went here because previous visits have been good. Very good service and very clean. This visit, they were busy and it was December, 23 so the food looked fresh. We got plates and sat down and took one bite and our food was not even lukewarm. We politely asked to pay for our drinks and leave. Hopefully they'll this issue taken care of. Great Buffet. My husband and I like buffets because you can see what you're getting and can try a little of everything. As Chinese buffets go, this one is one of the best we've tried. Food was fresh and trays were replenished regularly. I didn't see anything that looked like it had been there for a while. The staff was friendly and service was good. We were on a road trip in December and happened in. I've been to a lot of Asian Buffets, but this one seemed to be family owned and very well maintained. We were a little disappointed. The food was somewhat bland compaired to what we normally find at buffets. The hot n sour soup was thick but had little flavor. I ate here on Christmas day with my mom and stepdad, as it was one of the only places open and they had just flown in to town. The food was pretty much what you would expect from a "chinese" buffet in this part of the country, as far as selection of dishes, but I will have to say that it was better than most of the buffets I've been to in Tyler. Everything was very greasy, but one should not go to a chinese buffet with expectations of finding healthy food. It tasted pretty good.
