I enjoy eating food from Ming's. Their food is always steaming hot when you get it. I'm giving them a "4" instead of a "5" since the quality is not always consistent. I'm not sure if it's the cooks or the product. Overall, I recommend them and eat there a couple of times a month, if not more. read more

I love Mings. It's one of my favorite restaurants and it was the first local restaurant I was introduced to when I first moved to the Tyler area. We had the vegetable fried rice, spring rolls, chicken, teriyaki, chicken, wings, fried and crab Rangoon. The food was yummy. Not the best we've ever had not the worst. The service was good actually fantastic They do have lots of indoor seating, comfortable booths, and a couple tables. The portions are huge and we could not eat half of what we ordered. After a long drive last night, I wanted some Chinese takeout and believe I had a friend order from Ming's for me the last time I was in town and liked it, but last night was some of the worst food I've ever had. I ordered the 2 entree dinner special with broccoli beef, sesame chicken, fried rice, and noodles. I think the specials are served from the all-day buffet they have inside and not made fresh like the other reviews say for regular orders, which explains why the prices are so affordable. But what I got tasted like old food. Really bad. The sesame chicken was so over-fried that it had the consistency of jerky and got stuck in my teeth and the sauce was more red in color than any other sesame chicken I've had and it tasted too much like ketchup. The broccoli beef was over-sauced, soggy, and slimy. The fried rice tasted like soy sauce rice. And the noodles had a slightly sour taste and were spoiled. The staff was nice, the online ordering was easy, but I did not finish anything. read more

This little shabby restaurant puts chicken in everything that they cook. If you have an allergy do not go there to eat because the wall menu or the handheld menu does not tell what they put in the food, like chicken, beef, or pork. I have a chicken allergy and they did not inform me that chicken was in everything they made, even fried rice. I paid $56.02 for food I could not eat. I only went there because my favorite restaurant was closed to clean their kitchen. All I wanted was wonton soup, veggies, and fried rice. We told the person at the register that I could not eat chicken and he suggested everything everything that I ordered because of the chicken problem. The food is okay, the service is horrible. They have no concern for your time and are very rude. We arrived right when they opened. We waited patiently for 45 minutes. Seven people came in after us and received their food before we questioned when ours would be out. The guy at the front counter was rude and mouthy. We then requested a refund. Our food came up as he was giving the refund. He told them to hold it and proceeded to refund me. He told us not to come back(we did nothing wrong). No worries...we will NOT ever go back there!! Food is better than decent. The chicken curry I've had here in the past is really good. The staff have always been Very helpful and kind. Pricing is average not too high. The portion size is very large on everything I've had here so far Today I had the Asian chicken salad. Sliced fried chicken cutlet on top was good. The lettuce was fresh and crispy. A little too chilled for my liking, but when the super cold fridge chill wore off it was even better. Lots of yummy things in the salad, pineapple chunks, grape tomatoes, slivered almonds, shredded carrots, drizzled with honey so so good. With a creamy like ginger dressing (also a bit too cold) but very tasty. Some egg drop soup was very good. Better than average. With some crunchy things I don't know what they are called. First off, me and my family walked in to be greeted with negative stares from customers. My husband approached the counter where a young lady was standing there, doing something, she did not look up, nor greet us for a few minutes. She then proceeded to ask my husband "have you been helped"? We found this restaurant on yelp and it was a really good find. We told the guy taking out order it was our 1st time here and he schooled us on the menu. He was nice. We ordered the garlic shrimp and sweet & sour chicken. They were both amazingly fresh. The guy told us that our food would be made fresh to order and it sure was! You could taste the freshness! The cool thing is each order comes with either a side of rice or noodles.... we were prepared to buy noodles. That's was cool we got to save a few bucks. Casual dining and decent atmosphere. The food is always good and reasonably priced. I will say that the staff is kind, considerate and always polite. On a recent visit we watched as they assisted an elderly lady who struggled to make decisions and was physically frail. They were so unfailingly kind to her and so helpful. An odd development since Covid is that all food is now packed to go, even if you're dining in the restaurant. It's a little awkward but workable. read more

I usually love this place especially when I'm in a hurry and craving Chinese food but today I was was caught way off guard and I'm slightly disappointed. I ordered online and I ordered chicken broccoli ( I normally order beef broccoli which always taste great from here but I decided to change it up). I want to assume this is their version of chicken broccoli and even it was the chicken looks way under cooked. I assumed they made the chicken broccoli identical to their beef broccoli and the only difference was that it's chicken instead of beef. I've eaten at Mings about 4-5 times now and keep coming back because I enjoy the food but the wait time is unbelievable. I have been in and out of sit down restaurants faster than I have gone through the line at Mings. They say it is "our food isn't made until you order it" which I believed base on the time it takes them to move people through the line, until I went inside and saw the same small buffet style fast food counter you see at every other Chinese food place.
