I'll give two reviews for Jucy's: The short one: Jucy's has the best burgers in Tyler, easily. No competition. The long one: Jucy's might be home of the best 3 course meal in Tyler. Jucy's Hamburgers got their start in Longview and eventually came to Tyler. The 5th Street location is the OG of Tyler and has been slinging burgers for as long as I can remember. I have quite a few memories of their location on Old Jacksonville, but upon revisiting Tyler, I had to stop at the 5th Street location. Upon walking in, it has been remodeled quite a bit making it a little more modern and similar in style to the other locations in Tyler. You order at the counter where you can get your burgers, sides, and more before getting a buzzer for when your food is ready. As they cook your burger (or whatever you ordered), you are free to get your free cup of their incredible beans. I took a picture of my girlfriend with her beans to send to my parents, that's how culturally important it is to us. That's course one. 10 minutes later, your buzzer rings and you're given a tray with a glorious burger and whatever delectable sides you decided to grab. Their onion rings are always a must. This time around, at the suggestion of my girlfriend, I also got an order of their Fried Green Tomatoes. Something I have never ordered before, but really enjoyed. It's greasy, it's deep fried, and it's incredible. The burger is as good as I remember. That's course two. As you sit there, trying to decide if housing that burger and cruising through all those onion rings was a good idea, you decide to get another cup of beans for dessert. The bacon inside them is subtle but always appreciated. They have a little heat and a little sweetness. They're a true delight and one of the best individual items you can get at any establishment in East Texas. That's course three. The 5th Street location is still as good as ever. There is just a consistent quality about their food that other places in Tyler lack. I have been a huge fan of Jucy's hamburgers for years, but recently discovered the delicious breakfast items! Very good breakfast bowls, delicious pancakes!!! Yummm. I would like to have more of their breakfast, but unfortunately I found a medium length hair cooked into my egg today. I would like to ask Jucy's to require hairnets for the cooks, if not doing so already. I do enjoy the delicious food at this restaurant! read more

Handmade, old timey, fresh delicious cheeseburgers. If you have the hungries for a good old fashioned burger, this is the place. Simple and delicious. The onion rings are some of the best. Crunchy batter, thick cut onions and a very nice peppery flavor. The crispy chicken salad is also a winner. Service is friendly and fast. read more

Jucy's was delicious, don't get me wrong, but the meal was not worth $15... Fries and drink are not included here. Burger is big but nothing different from any other burger shop. I do appreciate the freshness of the veggies but the fries were way too greasy and didn't seem like they were cooked through. I must say I really like the service and the kindness of the employees that I encountered. With that being said the burger I had, which was a double meat, double cheese burger and a steak sandwich and onion rings. Let's start with the burger unseasoned raw meat. I could not even chew it, it just wasn't there. It was soggy as hell. The batter on the steak sandwich and on The Onion rings wa salted so bad that you could not even complete a bite. The beans were awesome. I called in to complain after paying nearly $40; I was then offered a remake which I picked up week later. This time i asked for the veggies on the side so that the sandwiches and the bread wouldn't be so soggy, but they put the bread, cheese and meat together.So I couldn't separate it to put the veggies on.I asked for the bill burger style. The burger was still just as bad as the first time.Bland hunk of meat raw in the center. Yet the steak sandwich and The Onion rings were so bland that they just couldn't be eaten.No one wanted to eat them. Service was still great though. I go here when I'm recruiting at Tyler. The burgers here are very very good. They are big now so don't let your eyes be too big for your belly. Service is good, the burger is made fast. This was our first time at this location but not a first time having Jucy's The menu today was a junior cheeseburger, fried green tomatoes, and a chicken strip meal. I'm not sure how anybody can eat a regular size burger here because they are huge. I get the quarter pound junior burger and still have trouble finishing it. It is absolutely delicious! It comes with a ton of onions, so if you're not an onion fan just tell them to go light on the onions. Also comes with tomatoes and pickles. If you want it, I opt to take those off. Also had a side of fried green tomatoes. These were absolutely delicious and my first time trying them here. The batter was super crispy even though I ordered to go and I didn't get home until maybe 10 minutes after I picked up the food. The tomatoes were perfect size and the inside was not mushy. Served with a side of jalapeno ranch that was absolutely to die for and the best and East Texas. Now onto the chicken strip meal. As u can see from the picture it was humongous. It had a ton of fries and hid underneath those fries were three ginormously big chicken strips. They were fried crispy golden brown but the chicken inside was still super moist. Their Country gravy that they serve with this meal is absolutely delicious and I could slap myself for not asking for an extra order of it. This meal also comes with some Texas toast and that was just a basic Texas toast but it was perfect to dip into that super yummy gravy. Price wise I would say it's perfect. For the amount of food and for the price you pay is perfect. You get a ton of food for roughly $10 a meal and in this economy that's amazing. read more

Nice portion. Burger was excellent however the fries were a bit heavy with the salt. I love the hand cut fries just need to tone it down with the seasoning. Price is not bad compared to other spots. No combo options. Service is straight forward for a fast food restaurant. Breakfast?! Someone suggested I try Jucy's Hamburgers for breakfast and I said "What?" Well, I did that same morning and was surprised that there were several cars parked in front. My buddy ordered a biscuit (he likes biscuits) and I had two scrambled eggs and bacon. The eggs were perfectly cooked and the three slices of bacon were medium crispy and not the skinny, shriveled kind one experiences at some diners. Though not thick sliced, they were of decent density. It's a hamburger joint so expect that inside and not something you'd see at a restaurant. The clientele this morning was diverse. A couple of men wearing ties at the very back, two working class males chatting toward the front, a lone retiree looking fella and my buddy and me, both retired. I'll try the pancakes next time. Been here twice. Hamburgers and onion rings are VERY good. Second visit, I ordered a "steak sandwich" directly from their menu. I expected a grilled steak sandwich. Surprise! Jucy's sells more then just hamburgers and I was pleasantly surprised! I ordered Jucy's breakfast off Waitr this morning, and I will be doing again soon. Every time we are near Tyler we stop at this burger joint...The hamburger is very good and I have met been disappointed! Tomato's, pickles, and lettuce are very fresh. Jalapeños cost a little extra but well worth it. Little bit of a drive from the 20 but well worth it. Staff are very friendly and make great recommendations. Oh man!! So I already love Jucy's burgers and chicken sandwiches and cowboy melt....but we had to check out their new breakfast menu! Needless to say...we were not disappointed!! The pancakes were so fluffy and big! The biscuits tasted homemade(maybe they were)! And they had homemade salsa, made fresh in house, (wish I had a photo to share) that I smothered on my scrambled eggs, it was so flavorful! Not too spicy but a great addition on the eggs. I highly recommend their breakfast! Plus it was so quiet that morning to dine-in which made it even better! They have remodeled the restrooms,so they are much nicer and cleaner.
