In Tyler for work and Yelped a good burger joint. Burger Warehouse popped up and the name alone drew me in. When I first walked in, there weren't many people and the interior was a bit different. Warehouse is an appropriate name. Lots of metal walls and tables and booths made out of old crates. Cool. But on to the food. Menu very strait forward - ice cream on one chalk board and burgers on the other. 6 burger choices, fries and a few add-ons. That's it. I went with the southwest burger and FFs. I told the lady taking the order "extra crispy" and when she to the order to the kitchen, I heard her say "he wants the fries extra crispy. Food took a bit to be brought out - yes I didn't have to go pick it up. So the FFs were perfectly done and crispy. So good. The burger, OMG was it good. So the one thing I didn't like, and has nothing to do with the food is the table tops. I tried several and had the same results - the tops were sticky. Clean but sticky. Has to be from what ever was used to seal the wood. Hopefully they'll fix this. read more

Second visit to a righteous burger joint. There were two issues that I didn't notice before. One was the density of the burger patty; it was either pressed too hard onto the grill, or it was (shudder) preformed, which seems out of character. The other was the added bacon. While admirable to offer thick bacon slices, overcooking it means biting into leather. Safer bet is thin-sliced bacon. Otherwise, this is a favorite go-to place for a burger. It would take so little to achieve perfection! read more

Loved this find! We got there right at 11:00 and had to wait a couple of minutes for them to unlock the door. But once we got inside, everyone was friendly and the food came out quick. It's a very limited menu, just a few types of burgers, fries and shakes. The burgers were fantastic and the fries were even better. Might have given five stars but the bathroom had no paper towels, and they don't have napkins available on the counter either. Overall a great experience and we will be back. read more

I stopped in for a couple of take out burgers. First: the burger was ok. Not fantastic but better than average. Second: the fries were very good. Third: slow slow slow service. Took a LONG time to get my food. One customer who was waiting before me actually fell asleep waiting for hers. The burger arrived at my table scorching hot, right off the grill; the melted American cheese was almost bubbling on the toasted bun. This was the makings of a great burger. But after a couple of bites came a giant let down: the meat was lacking flavor, as if there was no seasoning at all. That melted cheese and the sear on the meat made up for a lot of shortcomings. The biggest disappointment came from the fries. They looked and tasted like they came from the freezer at Brookshires. This place is fantastic. The meat is 7/8 lb. before cooking and is cooked to perfection. The size of the burgers remind me of ones cooked at home on the grill. The prices are very reasonable as well especially considering what you are getting. I have been so impressed with the basic cheeseburger that I haven't ventured to try some of the other different burgers although they sound delicious. They have absolutely the best fries I have ever had anywhere period. To top it all off they serve copious amounts of Blue Bell too. We loved everything we tried. My husband had the 5150 burger with cheese, bacon and jalapeños, lettuce wrapped and my dad had the 5150 and fries and I had the mushroom burger- can you just say the food was excellent. Best burger we have found so far in the Tyler area so far. The staff was so friendly and helpful, answered all our questions, some more than once. Were very kind to my dad who is very hard of hearing, spoke directly to him and slowly so he could read lips. Basic decor inside, but everything was very clean and well kept. We will be back! Great burgers and crispy fries. Wonderful shakes & malts. But the cashier staff at all my three experiences there have been horrible. Every one of the cashiers I've dealt with were snotty and rude and to be honest, not very smart. Amy question I asked about the food they could not answer. Their sign shows 'triple chocolate' ice cream. When asking about it the cashier informs me they 'are out of Triple chocolate' telling me it is 'seasonal'. But also, could not even tell me about it. We ordered a mushroom burger that was on the menu but was told they are 'out of mushrooms'. ‍ ok I probably won't go back there cause all the times I've been there I have hated dealing with the rude immature cashiers. The ice cream, which is all Blue Bell brand, pretty much sells itself! They have a great selection of about a dozen, i believe? maybe 16 flavors? If you asked me, as a kid, "If you could eat anywhere in the world, where would it be," do you know what my answer would have been? A burger warehouse. Why? Because I'd eat those handy meat patties right off the conveyor belt. Let's be honest - I'd answer the same way as an adult. That's why, when I moved to Texas and stumbled on Burger Warehouse, I began to immediately get the meat sweats - in the most positive of ways. The wife and I had some time to ourselves so we decided to grab some lunch and were looking for a place to dine. Burger Warehouse showed up in my feed and it had a 5-star rating. I was in the mood for a burger so I convinced the little lady to join me. We arrived and were a little surprised by the place's simple decor, but it makes total sense when you think of the restaurant's name. This place was all about the food. The young lady that took our order was very helpful and kind. We got the order placed and picked up drinks. The food arrived shortly and admittedly it was wrapped as you'd expect to get food from a place called Whataburger (it must be the yellow paper). Let me tell you something, though: Whataburger has NOTHING on Burger Warehouse. I could smell my delicious meat sammich the minute it was put in front of me, but I was not prepared for the taste. The burger was handmade on the grill and the first bite reminded me of home. It was much larger than expected, especially since I had two patties of meaty deliciousness under those buns. The bbq sauce was tangy and added a deep flavor to the burger, and when combined with the crispy bacon it made for an amazing piece of American culinary art. The fries were cooked very well and it was appreciated. (We've has some real hit and miss situations with fries lately.) What made it all better was the chipotle ketchup that was served as a condiment. The ketchup had tons of flavor without heating up with too much spice. Needless to say we will return here as soon as it's possible. This will be my go-to burger joint in Tyler! read more
