Great home-cooked meals, great people, and friendly service. I love this local establishment.

So, we stumbled on this place accidentally and it was quite possibly the best stumble we have ever made. The food here is off the chain! I could dedicate an entire page to their biscuits. Honestly they are the best biscuits I have ever had. They don't need butter, or jelly, or gravy, or anything else. They are absolute perfection just as they are! Everything on the menu has been amazing so far. Try the apple walnut cake too if you're a dessert eater. SO good!! The service here is so very friendly too. Our server was on top of everything and gave us a beautiful smile to boot. Sure is a change of pace coming from the city where everyone is going a million miles an hour and is grumpy all the time. This is down home, feels like family, mom or grandma's cooking at it's best. My only complaint is that they aren't open every day of the week. A girl needs her biscuits on Mondays too! ;)

Busy busy busy!! Talk about a local cafe. This place is full of nice friendly people wanting to feed you. The owner of the cafe seems to be a chef with many years of experience. Clearly everyone loves this place. I love myself a good biscuit with gravy and this place did the job. I love the decor and can see why the place is always busy. You have to love these southern cafes. Thank you 4 way Cafe for the good food and service

Almost every Friday, my husband and I would come and eat after my chemo treatments. Today was my…read morefinal treatment. Alisha helped me book a large group lunch to celebrate. The check in time was adjusted multiple times because of some small complications with my treatment. They adjusted and flowed with the roller coaster. Not only was the service amazing, caring, and kind...the food was amazing. It always is so good. Thank you Twelve for sharing in our celebration and never saying "no", "sorry we can't do that ", etc.

In Tyler, Texas, the options for a decent but affordable dinner seem to fall into the hands of the…read morechains. There's plenty of nice local establishments, but some can be pricey and some are just more casual than you want. Scott Williams has perfected the restaurants of Tyler that are balanced between affordable and still quite nice. He got his toes in the water with FDs, before expanding into Javi's, Twelve, and now the fanciest of them all in III Palms. I thought of all those options, Twelve would be the most unique and tasty for my girlfriend and I. We went in an hour before they closed on a Sunday and were seated immediately. We weren't too hungry so we didn't expect to be there past their closing time, and we were ready to go. Our waiter was quick and attentive, bringing us water and helping us decide on drinks from the bar and our order. He also showed us their insane over-the-top whiskey menu. If you like whiskey, give Twelve a shot I guess. To order, I just got their 'Osaka Style' Pressed Roll while my girlfriend got a Sushi Bowl Salad. We got Sweet Potato Fries to share. As for drinks, I started with their Monkey See, Monkey Do, an impressive and firm beverage, while my girlfriend ordered their Destin Dream, a fun Pina Colada-like drink. It wasn't long before our food came out. The sushi was beautifully plated with some wasabi and pickled ginger on the side. I destroyed all the rolls. They were all very fresh and very high quality, which was remarkable for their $13.50 price tag. My girlfriend's sushi bowl looked insane. She ate most of it, but I filled the gaps and devoured the rest of it. The sweet potato fries were crispy and heavenly like all sweet potato fries usually are. I felt adventurous and I got a second drink of their Rose Garden, which was simple but flavorful. Compared to FDs, the menu might be a little more sea-inspired and more adventurous, but I think it leads to better, more unique food, especially with offerings like Oyster Rockefeller and a sushi bar. I also know Twelve does a great brunch as well, so keep that on your radar. Ultimately, as the bill came, the price was very manageable even with the alcohol. It's nice that you don't fully have to break the bank to have a nice meal in Tyler thanks to places like Twelve. I rate it a 12/10. Get it? hahahaha... RIYL: A slightly adventurous, but affordable night out.

It is in a corner lot with a humble interior and exterior. Despite being humble I can tell they spent a great deal on the details to make this place shine. The host and serve were kind and informative. I have a bias for open concept kitchen and it was nice to see the team work on our meal. The porter house was amazing! Nice and crispy with just the right amount of fat. The hush puppies were light and flavorful. We are excited to come back!

Turns out we could sit outside, which was great. PARKING: Available on the square for free. SERVICE: Our waiter was pretty absent most of the night. There was another one who came and helped that was much better. Part of why this was 4 stars. Food was very slow as well. FOOD: The appetizers were divine. We tried the deviled eggs and hush puppies and were not disappointed. The entrees however - the oxtail pasta and redfish (both recommended by waiter) - were complete misses. The pasta tasted undercooked and it was very chewy. The redfish was fishy and unfortunately fried. The death by chocolate cake was yummy. DRINKS: We split a bottle of wine and enjoyed that. Cocktails were good, not great. PRICE: A little on the high end ($230 before tip), but not bad. AMBIANCE: The inside was very pleasant and romantic. The kitchen was wide open, so you could watch the chefs do their thing. The outside was not as nice, but allowed you to people watch and see the sunset. OVERALL: I was a fan of Culture ETX. Everything but the entrees and our waiter was exceptional. TIP: Make reservations. They also have a speakeasy in the back that was very fun. Definitely worth visiting after your meal.

Our experience at Prime 102 was comparable to the best steakhouses in New Orleans. The food was great and the service was truly exceptional. We were a party of 7, so we had the opportunity to explore a number of the menu items. The jumbo lump crab cakes, the tuna tartare, the loaded potato casserole, and the lobster Mac and cheese were excellent. One might not think Brussels sprouts would be special, but these were unlike any I've ever had. They were definitely a surprising highlight of the meal and a must have for future dinners. The rib eye and filets were all delicious, perfectly cooked to the requested temperature. The servings of the chocolate cake and the butter cake are large enough to share. Both were delicious. But if I had to pick just one, I'd give the nod to the butter cake as it is a unique taste experience. In addition to the great food, our waiter, Matt R, was outstanding. He was attentive to our needs and pacing of the meal. His advice and descriptions of dishes, when asked, were spot on and very helpful. His attentiveness contributed to an overall exceptional experience. Although it has no effect on the food and the service, the original art deco decor makes for an interesting, special setting. I should also add that the prices were reasonable for the quality of the food and service. I can't say that Prime 102 is the best restaurant in Tyler, but only because we haven't been to any other high end restaurant there. But it's hard to imagine any better. If it were in New Orleans, it would be in our regular dining rotation. We're planning to visit family in Tyler annually. And dinner at Prime 102 will be a mandatory event.
