We went here for brunch after seeing a shoulder doctor at Azalea Orthopedics. It's in a good easy to get to location with lots of parking. We were seated immediately at a clean table - no last minute wipe down that leaves the table sticky - our server was quick to take our drink orders and not pushy to get our food orders. The menu is very extensive so it took the man a couple more minutes to decide but as soon as I saw that double BLT sandwich I knew that was going in my belly! He ordered a meat lovers skillet, it seemed to us a small serving with more potatoes than meat, but he said it was tasty. I ordered the double BLT with candied pepper bacon. It was an exquisite sandwich. The bread was toasted to a beautiful crunch, the meat, tomatoes, lettuce were a good ratio to the bread. The aoli was good, too... not too sweet or hot, just full of flavor. This BLT was also BIG... I hate half and he ate the inners of the other half. He said for diner coffee it was really good and had four mugs! I had Diet Coke. You pay at the table. Our server was attentive and the food was good, the diner was very clean - even the glass doors. This is such a comforting establishment to be in. It's a large space, but gives you a small town feel. The staff show great southern hospitality, and the energy rubs off on guests. What I like is that the menu has so many options to choose from for breakfast or lunch. I have to say the taste beats out ihop! read more

I always try the chicken fried steak and eggs at every breakfast place IF it is on the menu. Today i tried this place and it was good. The service was great. The atmosphere was the same as any other good breakfast spot. Will be going back to try that meat lovers omelette. read more

First time there. Wife/MIL there once before. Went here after Mass. Took 2-3 requests for water. Not a major deal. Mrs ordered Biscuits and gravy. Plate arrived with the biscuits but no gravy. Huh? Instead it had finely chopped ham & shredded cheese. Again, huh? Apparently they ran out of gravy. Didn't advise her/me of this odd 'substitution'. Mrs tried to make the best of her breakfast but was clearly not thrilled. Neither was I. My 'Cowboy Skillet' was pretty good. The tater-tot bottom layer was more unusual than I had anticipated but that's all on me. Hash browns may have more my liking. The menu is extensive and has many appealing items. What a great spot for breakfast. We were able to go online and make reservations. We went around 12/1 on a Saturday and they weren't that busy, but it could be because they close at 2. I think earlier in the day they usually have wait times so I would suggest going later or making a reservation. There is plenty of parking in the parking lot so you don't have to worry about that. Plenty of setting room. Our waitress was very patient and talked us through the menu. She was probably the best waitress I have had in a while. Very attentive and all our food was right. I had the carnitas queso skillet. It had hash browns in but I substituted it out for country potatoes. I also got no onions. This meal was amazing. There was plenty of queso so didn't have to ask for more. I love cheese and this was the best choice. The switch to add potatoes was a great choice for me too. I'm not a huge hash down person and the potatoes were amazing. The waitress helped me pick it out. She said it was her favorite thing too. My friend also gets the same dish every time she goes there. I also had the cinnamon roll French toast. They were ok but not what I expected. They didn't use thick bread. It was fairly thin and I'm not used to that for French toast. Not a huge fan so wouldn't get that again, but they did taste decent. Can't wait to go back again and try some other things on the menu next time I visit. read more

I got a $25 gift card to this place, so I went there. It was busy. Lots of folks in there seemed to be digging' the place. Lots of elder folk. It took over 20 minutes to be seated and 20 more to get my order. The pancakes were leather tough and rubbery. Inedible. "The Biscuits Gone Wild" we're crunchy and cold on the outside and gummy and cold on the inside... SALT ASSAULT in the gravy. The waitress brought me the ticket I handed it back with the gift card and just left hungry. They served me lousy nursing home food (cold) and wasted a tremendous amount of my time. Man o man!! This place sure hit the spot! It has such a "diner" feel to it, and these days those are far and few in between... at least in my neck of the woods. You have your typical Denny's or Shari's in the NW... but 'round here.... This IS the spot! There's such a variety on the menu, but first, got to compliment our waitress. Taryn was her name and she was ON it! She made sure we were comfortable, checked up on us regularly, and was very hospitable and took the time to chat with us. Gave us her best recommendations and all. The food... SO DAMN GOOD! We love our eggs in a variety of ways, with such a big family, what else would you expect? I can guarantee you, with an inevitable move into Tyler.... This place will quickly become a staple or "go to" joint. The pancakes, eggs, meats, and more importantly... the coffee is delicious! I have never eaten at Jimmy's Egg but I wanted to share an amazing experience I had. My wife and I love thrifting. About a year ago On one of our thrifting trips she saw a Jimmy's Egg Mug and loved it but didn't buy it. She always regretted not getting it. Saturday morning line was long but the bar is open seating! Their wait staff work very well as a team! Your drinks will never be empty and your tongue will be very happy! There's both table and booth seating in addition to the bar (no outdoor seating). The staff wear these hilarious t-shirts with versions egg references (I wish they sold them... forgot to ask). Their omelets are made with all fresh ingredients and they do not skimp on the side item portions. Oh, and did I mention their coffee is smooth and delicious?! I called before arrival as my party had a bit of a time crunch. The hostess put me on hold, and came back to tell me that the GM has a strict no call ahead rule.
