Tallarin Saltado (Chicken), Yucca a la huacaina, y bistec a lo pobre!
Roxanne M.

My husband and I stopped here for a late lunch after the spending the morning hiking at Tyler State Park. We are not very much familiar with Tyler since we live in Ft Worth, but we both love Peruvian food. We were so excited to find a Peruvian restaurant in a small town. My husband is from Peru and he approved the food. Everything tasted delicious! I even liked the rocoto sauce! I will definitely keep this place in mind when we are in town again.

Background: we are a family born and raised in Puerto Rico. Our palate is not Tex-Mex and this place delivered!. The food here is fantastic and we highly recommend it! Place is modest but clean and with nice decoration. Good service and waitress was very kind, respectful and well presented. We are glad we found this hidden gem

I happened upon this place in Tyler because I wanted something different and I'm glad that I did. When I tell you run don't walk to this restaurant. It just opened and the staff was very friendly. Overall the place was very clean. I ordered two dishes -- Tallarin Saltado de carne and orgia de mariscos. The tallarin was so flavorful and tasty. My little one enjoyed it as well. The orgia de mariscos had such a hearty flavor. All the seafood tasted fresh and the meal was made to order. I ordered a papaya smoothie and it was sooo yummy. It was served in a big margarita glass and they didn't skimp on the portions. I can't wait to try more!

Chicken breast w/saucy shrimp, boiled yuca and white rice

Great restaurant serving Peruvian & Colombian food. Owner has a restaurant in Dallas and now the one in Tyler, which is under a year old. The chicken with shrimp sauce was absolutely divine. And who knew white rice could be so good? Also tried the fried calamari with fried yuca. I wish the calamari had been crispier--it was on the chewy side. Try the papaya smoothie as it's great. I will return to try their other dishes. Peruvian cuisine is world known for their spectacular seafood.

Food tasted great, but definitely shellfish cross contamination going on in the kitchen. Be careful if you're allergic.

Really good flavors and service! Try the fresh blended juices! P.S. the hot sauce comes in a small bottle for a reason

We went back a couple of weeks ago and ended a salad and one of the best Margarita Pizzas (called Not Yo Mama's Margarita Pizza) we've ever had. So many margarita pizzas are a some mozzarella hunks along with some tomato and basil. Parry's was delicious different, with a better distribution of ingredients and sauces. We picked up one a couple of weeks ago and thoroughly enjoyed it. Yesterday on 12/17 we ordered (Take Out) the same Margarita Pizza and a I Love Meat pizza. We began to eat it immediately after we got home and noticed that it very crispy and seemed burnt. After looking at it we saw why it didn't taste good. We had company and didn't have time to drive back and ( wait another 30 plus minutes ( we had placed the order ahead of time online) so we scraped off the burnt as best as we could. I called and was told old a manager would be with me shortly... they finally picked up the phone and told me I could text my complaint to a number that they gave me. I have not received any communication from them. Each pizza was over $25, one would think that they might want to at least say sorry, I guess they don't really care about hearing from a customer. A unburned Dominos would have been far superior and cheaper too.

Food & band deserved more, but service and billing ruined the experience…read more This was both our first and last visit to this establishment. Don't get me wrong--the food itself was great once everyone finally received their meals, and the live band was absolutely phenomenal. We came in with an open mind as a family of four and really enjoyed the atmosphere and music. There was a mix-up early on when we were told there wasn't enough steak for everyone to order what they wanted. We were understanding and chose different menu items instead. When the food came out, my youngest son's burger was missing. Followed by being served another tables burger - resulting in it being taken back. He had to wait an additional 25 minutes before finally getting his meal. On top of that, my sides were incorrect. When I asked for the fries I had originally ordered, the waitress came back and somewhat just flopped them onto the table. After finishing our meal, my husband and I took a moment to agree on a proper tip. We wrote it in clearly, added it to the total, and left the bill for the waitress to pick up. We stayed well over an hour afterward enjoying the band, but she only came back to our table twice to check on us. Later, when we checked our bank statement, we noticed we had been charged a different amount than what we had written. I called to ask about the discrepancy and was told that the tip amount we knew we had written was "clearly" something else. I was told I could come down to collect the difference, followed by, "What do you want me to do about it?" I was also told it was her first night alone on the floor, and if I was "insinuating she changed it, she didn't." It was a horrible way to end what could have been a really enjoyable evening. The food was great, the band was amazing, and the staff at the bar were friendly --but the repeated issues and the tip modification left the worst taste in our mouths. We won't be returning. My only recommendation for those who do go: bring cash.

Great atmosphere, very clean and super friendly staff! Now, the important stuff: the food. We started by sharing a wedge salad, complete with bacon, blue cheese dressing, blue cheese chunks (yum!) and all the crispiness a wedge brings. Very fresh and the dressing was a clue cheese lover's dream. Had the pickle ranch wings and the chicken club sandwich with broccoli cheese soup on the side as our entrees. Everything was perfectly seasoned and cooked to perfection. Now, here's what you should absolutely order if you go here. Do not skip the pretzel with a side of beer cheese or the desserts. The pretzel is like the old Auntie Anne's pretzels in the mall years ago - only a thousand times better!! I will never come here and not order this again every single time. If you like huge, fluffy, salty, crispy on the outside pretzels, this is THE place to get them!! 10 out of 10! For dessert, we got the trio dessert (can't remember the name), but it came with 3 different skillet cookies, topped with ice cream and whipped cream and it was sinful how good they were! We got the chocolate chunk, the caramel and the strawberry shortcake. No words. Just drool. Lots of drool! I can't wait to come back and try their burgers, steaks and pizza - they looked so good too as I watched them being carried out to other tables. They have an extensive menu so you will not have a problem finding something you like. Shout out to our server Devin - she was fantastic, very helpful, kind and very attentive to all of our needs and special requests! Bartender Todd was also amazing and so friendly! The manager even stopped by our table to ensure we had a great experience. We definitely did! I'm so impressed with the service and food here at BJ's - I think it's my new favorite place in Tyler! The family had pazookie's for desert. I was too full to get one. They had some cool techno music playing over the speakers. The lights were dimmed very nicely. Our waiter was awesome. Super cool guy was working the bar as well. Very knowledgeable about their beers and some others that compare nicely. I also had a drink called the lucky ducky. It comes in a little bathtub with a yellow duck floating in it. It was super tasty. We were so full that we were miserable. lol I'm a good way. We will all be back. I also bought the lucky ducky bath tub to take home without the drink of course.
