My wife and I tried some, the rest went in the garbage. Salad had some leaves and lots of thick 'stalky' parts of lettuce and tiny diced mozzarella. So most all of the salad is in the garbage too. Then after about 45 mins the bartender brings our food. After finishing our food we had to flag down another server for our check. They got mad and said I'll let your server know. We came here for the first time to celebrate a birthday lunch. The food was delicious. We ordered the kid's meal pepperoni pizza, pesto manifesto, and chicken florentine wrap. The portions were big and we ended up needing a to go box. We had a large party of 18 and our server, Justin, was tentative and met all of our needs. I was pleasantly surprised with this place! I am sort of a pizza snob, so I wasn't expecting to like it so much! I got the BBQ Chicken Pizza and it had great flavor, soft dough, and the ranch to dip it in put it over the top! The individual size was more than enough for me and I ate it all, even though I was full and probably shouldn't have finished it. My family all liked their pizzas as well. The wait time was pretty long (like 30 minutes) because there was a party there, but I'd say it was worth it. It's still a toss up for me whether I like this place or Pit Stop Pizza better, but regardless, it's very good and we'll be back! read more

It was several minutes before a waitress came to check on me. She told me it was her second day on the job. Very friendly, but said she needed to get some help. I placed an online order for the Honey Peppadew pizza and when I got there to pick it up I was informed there was a problem with their system sending the order to the kitchen and it was just then being prepared. The staff at the bar and the manager were both apologetic. The manager even went above and beyond to make things right, and made sure I didn't have to wait too long even though they were very busy I understand, it was a system error, not an employee error, and these things happen. Location of this place is perfect. Close to many many shops. When I walked in I noticed an odd odor. The place was a lil messy but the manager was on top of getting the place cleaned up. We had the meatball appetizer, garlic bread appetizer and the Philly steak sandwich meal with chips. The appetizers were good. The sandwich and chips were not good. Sandwich was dry. The meat was really dry. And the chips were cold. ( they are suppose to be fresh & warm ). I love the plastic cups that the drinks are served in. You can take them home because they are reusable. But somehow they should come up with a refillable option so people can reuse their cups. It'll help cut down waste on earth and I'm sure it'll definitely help the business save money. DO NOT PATRONIZE Rotolo's Pizzeria Tyler,TX the manager Ashley was very dismissive their menu on their tables with the Q-scanner is not the same as their printed menu and leaves off very important information. That IT instead of stating or accommodating had the nerves to say "Since you've ate it there's nothing I can do" ma'am that wasn't even the issue we had money to pay for our $74 plus tab and more if we had gotten anything else but overpaying when you and your uninformed waitress is a whole nother issue and problem! Luckily I had calmer heads with me or rude ace bad customer service having Ashley would have truly got the business!!!! Mostly kids running the place...the "manager" turned out to be our waiter who was about 20 years old and no leadership skills whatsoever. They'll be out of business in a couple years. 3-2-1 Yep, as my fellow yelpers follow, you'll see this is the order of my stars for Rotolos in my reviews. A restaurant, especially in the beginning, could start off slow (e.g. lower star ratings), but once the kinks are worked out- ratings usually rise (more stars). Makes simple business sense, right? Unfortunately, it seems as though Rotolos may be owned by absentee investors. (This is merely what a disgruntled bartender told me one night). With this said, (if true) it may explain why the service is downright atrocious at this particular Rotolos. Seriously, if you want the most aloof servers / bartenders, that think they're entitled to tips, based on having a pulse, and zero people skills, then by all means, come to Rotolos! A few visits ago, my pizza came out in the shape of a mangled football. The server, in what seemed like a stoned laugh, just placed it on the table and mumbled something derogatory about the cooks. Seriously, a football shaped pizza? On another night, the electricity went out, which froze the computers, so the bartender said "Fuck it; everything is free!" On my last visit, while sitting at the bar, ordering take-out, the homely female bartender might've said two words, and just tossed my pizza on the bar (no eye contact) with my check. For about the fifth time, I had to point out that they clearly have Happy Hour pricing on their beers (Advertised on ALL TV screens), but EVERY SINGLE TIME, the receipt never reflects Happy Hour pricing. Will Management please fix this? Too bad, as when the food is actually warm, and there is even an amateur level of attentiveness to the quality, it is decent food.
