I come here for lunch at least once a week, always order the kale salad. My doctor says my triglycerides are too high and I need to eat super foods. But what does he know. I've dined at First Watch before and was so excited to see it coming to Toledo! I have to eat gluten free due to an allergy, and they ensured to pay special attention to that need and our waitress even went over my order with the cook to guarantee no cross contamination. I ordered the Crab and Asparagus Omelette and my husband got the Barbacoa Benedict. Both were absolutely delicious. I definitely agree with other reviews - pretty loud in there, so there is a decent amount of yelling. I still felt like our experience was above average for a very busy Sunday morning. I definitely recommend checking into the restaurant before you arrive (via their app or Yelp app) so you can be seated when you get to the restaurant. Food prices may be a little higher than other restaurants, but food quality is great and large portions! My only suggestion is to have an allergy menu available at the restaurant. I was told to look online by the hostess instead of them having one on hand. All in all, a great addition to Toledo! read more

Solid menu, hard to decide what to eat when I go there because so many things on the menu are so good. What I do not like, and the reason I pull back a star, is the standard coffee which is priced at nearly $3 dollars but doesn't taste very good (like cheap diner or gas station with the sealed plastic creamer cups). Just picked up my online order from the Secor location and once I got home I found burnt pancakes so hard they could of been used as plates. They hid the burnt pancakes at the bottom of the stack and when I called to tell them about my order the manager was more interested in trying to get off the phone than fix any issues. It's great to have another restaurant option that provides organic and locally sourced ingredients. The restaurant was very busy on a holiday Monday, but we had only a short wait. The downside that has been mentioned in another review is the limited accessibility and the noise. This made it challenging for one of us who has a brain injury and is sensitive to sound. I loved the atmosphere and the food was well plated. I was put off by our server's disinterested attitude. I felt like our party of five was a pain in her ass from the moment we sat down. We got 3 coffees and she had to get another cup to start off. Then she poured the coffee into the large mugs which left less than one more cup in the carafe so we were out within the first couple of sips. She came back to our area 3 times and never asked if we needed anything even after I made eye contact with her on her second visit to a table two tables away. Our food did not come out all at the same time. She semi-slammed my lemon ricotta pancakes down and warned me to be careful as the plate was extremely hot which basically means it's been sitting under a heat lamp. I wouldn't get them again. I got the toast and asked for the blackberry jam mentioned in the menu which she said they didn't have. They had strawberry or grape. Toast was good. Should've stuck with that only. My son got the salmon eggs Benedict with fried potatoes. The potatoes had good flavor but maybe a tad salty. The American "healthy" breakfast with chia pudding and granola along with the toast with almond butter has about 1100 calories which is more than the pancakes. The coffee was bitter after it cooled a bit. The server just made it less than enjoyable. It was a good time due to the company I had with me. I'll go back and just hope for a nicer server who is more attentive, not unhappy being at work, and won't slam our food down on the table. We did wait a considerable amount of time for a table as well. They do have online check in on their app as well as on yelp. It was also kind of a loud place. Al Smith's Place (another breakfast place) is right across the street. It is much better food wise, quieter and not a long wait line. Uncle John's Pancake House is also good. read more

Don't hyper-focus and blame the waitress for a dirty glass, when the volume at which they turn over clients is astounding, and they're pumping them in and out as fast as they can. We gave this spot another try again on a Sunday. Thank you Cassi. We used the First Watch app this time to secure a place in line and found this very helpful. On my first visit previously, we had waited 40 min to be seated then another 30 min after ordering for food to arrive to the table. We had another good 30 min wait again this visit after ordering. It would be nice to get an update from the server as to the status of our order during the wait. Decor is nice, but the acoustics and open design of the space does nothing to buffer noise or allow for conversations to be heard across the table. It is one of the loudest restaurants I've dined in. They know that and clearly don't care about the quality of food or service. I have had a negative experience here many times but I continued to go back. This is it. Horrible service and horrible food. Our waitress was so rude and not attentive at all. I finished my food before my boyfriend even started because he asked for condiments multiple times that were never delivered. He ended up having to get up and ask the hostess to bring it.
