The restaurant has an interesting menu but the atmosphere is very unpleasant. The dining room is kept very cold where coats are required in the middle of summer. The acoustics make for a lot of echos and it is very loud. The service team is friendly and nice. Be prepared to wait a long time for your food. 20 to 30 minutes average. read more

Best breakfast ever! Food is always fresh and healthy. I get the traditional every time and I have never been disappointed.

I love this place since it open. The food is fresh tasty and healthy. My pick is the eggs Benedict florentine

This place was amazing! Food was great, atmosphere was relaxed yet hyped. Coming back soon! read more

I love this place. Every time we go the service, food and atmosphere are top notch. It's always a treat. I'm so glad they opened here in Toledo. read more

Burnt food and was supposed to receive a gift card for my burnt food.. never did! Highly expensive for burnt potatoes, bacon and eggs

Had a good experience. The restaurant is clean, food is usually on point, and the wait even at peak hours usually isn't too bad. We saw our server just when they were taking our order and dropping off the bill, but the hostess Reilley was really attentive to us, asking how our food came out, checking on our drinks, etc. and did that for the surrounding tables as it was rush time and was helping the servers. Overall felt taken care of and appreciative of the attentiveness of some of the staff like her. read more

Had a good experience, food was very good. Wait staff from the start was rough, but our hostess Riley was amazing. She went above and beyond to make sure we had a table and were satisfied. Very kind and genuine! read more

I come here for lunch at least once a week, always order the kale salad. My doctor says my triglycerides are too high and I need to eat super foods. But what does he know. So the kale salad comes with dried cranberry and a really good dressing. Good ambiance, clean place, a bit trendy-ish yet nice. read more

Absolutely amazing breakfast, and won't break the bank either! Fast service, and the cold brew coffee is wonderful - unique and sooooo good.

Got to sit down right away at the community table, great idea!! Ham and gruyere sandwich was delicious, roast beef and havarity was good but didn't get much horseradish flavor. Over all really good food! read more

I've dined at First Watch before and was so excited to see it coming to Toledo! I have to eat gluten free due to an allergy, and they ensured to pay special attention to that need and our waitress even went over my order with the cook to guarantee no cross contamination. I ordered the Crab and Asparagus Omelette and my husband got the Barbacoa Benedict. Both were absolutely delicious. I definitely agree with other reviews - pretty loud in there, so there is a decent amount of yelling. I still felt like our experience was above average for a very busy Sunday morning. I definitely recommend checking into the restaurant before you arrive (via their app or Yelp app) so you can be seated when you get to the restaurant. Food prices may be a little higher than other restaurants, but food quality is great and large portions! My only suggestion is to have an allergy menu available at the restaurant. I was told to look online by the hostess instead of them having one on hand. All in all, a great addition to Toledo! read more

Solid menu, hard to decide what to eat when I go there because so many things on the menu are so good. What I do not like, and the reason I pull back a star, is the standard coffee which is priced at nearly $3 dollars but doesn't taste very good (like cheap diner or gas station with the sealed plastic creamer cups). Round out my excellent meal with a good cup of coffee and real creamer - I would be totally satisfied. read more

Just picked up my online order from the Secor location and once I got home I found burnt pancakes so hard they could of been used as plates. They hid the burnt pancakes at the bottom of the stack and when I called to tell them about my order the manager was more interested in trying to get off the phone than fix any issues. We definitely won't be back. read more

DISSAPOINTING!!! Atmosphere was cute but very loud... service was mediocre at best. Food was cold and extremely overpriced. Do yourself a favor and cruise on up the street to Star Diner! Skip this overpriced, pretentious, hipster wanna be crap show. read more

They have great food but the wait staff is not as great! They need to be more friendly and helpful! And I wish they had turkey bacon! Other than that it's a nice place to grab breakfast or lunch! read more

Best breakfast in Toledo until someone shows me a better one. Food is great. Only knock is that they get busy and service can be a bit slow. But I'll take a little slow over mediocre food. Love their elevated egg sandwich! read more

Service takes way too long. It took us 45 min since the time we got a table to get our food. It was not worth the wait, considering the food was not exceptional or anything. read more

My wife and I met a friend here for breakfast and we all loved the food (pancakes, avocado toast, and eggs) and the kale juice. It's great to have another restaurant option that provides organic and locally sourced ingredients. The restaurant was very busy on a holiday Monday, but we had only a short wait. The downside that has been mentioned in another review is the limited accessibility and the noise. This made it challenging for one of us who has a brain injury and is sensitive to sound. We would go back for the great food, but look for a less busy time when it might be quieter. read more

I have been to this place a few times with my mother who lives close by. The food is tasty but the restaurant is SO LOUD that it's difficult to have a conversation. They seriously need to get some soft surfaces in there to absorb some of the noise. Awful. read more

Great food eggs and omelette. The toast is amazing . The hours are perfect . Smell of amazing food

I loved the atmosphere and the food was well plated. I was put off by our server's disinterested attitude. I felt like our party of five was a pain in her ass from the moment we sat down. We got 3 coffees and she had to get another cup to start off. Then she poured the coffee into the large mugs which left less than one more cup in the carafe so we were out within the first couple of sips. She came back to our area 3 times and never asked if we needed anything even after I made eye contact with her on her second visit to a table two tables away. Our food did not come out all at the same time. She semi-slammed my lemon ricotta pancakes down and warned me to be careful as the plate was extremely hot which basically means it's been sitting under a heat lamp. I wouldn't get them again. I got the toast and asked for the blackberry jam mentioned in the menu which she said they didn't have. They had strawberry or grape. Toast was good. Should've stuck with that only. My son got the salmon eggs Benedict with fried potatoes. The potatoes had good flavor but maybe a tad salty. The American "healthy" breakfast with chia pudding and granola along with the toast with almond butter has about 1100 calories which is more than the pancakes. The coffee was bitter after it cooled a bit. The server just made it less than enjoyable. It was a good time due to the company I had with me. I'll go back and just hope for a nicer server who is more attentive, not unhappy being at work, and won't slam our food down on the table. We did wait a considerable amount of time for a table as well. They do have online check in on their app as well as on yelp. It was also kind of a loud place. Al Smith's Place (another breakfast place) is right across the street. It is much better food wise, quieter and not a long wait line. Uncle John's Pancake House is also good. read more

Long wait to be seated even when we registered online an hour before we arrived. Multiple tables available(empty)that were socially distanced but they still had a an hour long wait. We ordered our food as soon as we ordered water and iced tea. We received bacon before water. We received the meals before silverware. Food was OK. Other breakfast brunch options in and around Toledo are better, with better service. read more

A great place for a great start! The coffee is delicious, bold abd flavorful. The food is scrumptious.

5 out of 5 recommend this place. The staff is fast, kind, and they know the menu well. I had read some bad reviews, but have to be able to weed through the falsifications. Don't hyper-focus and blame the waitress for a dirty glass, when the volume at which they turn over clients is astounding, and they're pumping them in and out as fast as they can. The food is WONDERFUL. Do yourself a favor, and be kind to your waitstaff. They are truly doing their best. read more

Very good all the way around. My girlfriend and I sat at the community table which is nice. Multiple servers, clean and friendly atmosphere. I enjoyed the breakfast tacos and she ate the bacado omelette. She rarely finishes her breakfast and ate all of hers. The tacos were fantastic. My family stopped here for breakfast and there was a long line of people to be seated but it didn't take long to get a table. The food we ordered was fresh and delicious. My 8 yr enjoyed the fruit crepe and I loved farmhouse hash. They had fresh squeeze on with no pulp. The coffee was awesome. I will definitely be back and try the lunch menu. read more

Let me say, as a franchise, I love first watch. I think the food is great. However, every time I've ever been to this location the service is painfully slow. I've been back twice hoping that maybe the kinks are worked out, but same thing. The party next to us, of 3 have been waiting on their food since we sat down. (30+ min)..... I want to say I'll come back because I actually like the food.... but I can't stomach the service. Maybe just stick to ordering to -go *update* Oh sigh..... 0 for 3 ... I have officially given up first watch. Walked in today and there were about a dozen open tables.... and there's a wait of 15 min???? I understand maybe staffing isn't great. But it's lunchtime? Probably a good thing I walked out, saved me from another miserable service experience. read more

We gave this spot another try again on a Sunday. Thank you Cassi. We used the First Watch app this time to secure a place in line and found this very helpful. On my first visit previously, we had waited 40 min to be seated then another 30 min after ordering for food to arrive to the table. We had another good 30 min wait again this visit after ordering. It would be nice to get an update from the server as to the status of our order during the wait. Decor is nice, but the acoustics and open design of the space does nothing to buffer noise or allow for conversations to be heard across the table. It is one of the loudest restaurants I've dined in. Pro tip: to hear and be heard- sit next to your dining partner. read more
