Great coffee shop! Very spacious, clean and customer service is nice! The coffee is so good! They have pastries as well. They also sell wine and have wine tastings on Thursdays. This coffee shop is one of a kind! Would definitely recommend!!

Had the most delicious latte here. I tried the pecan pie latte which was part of their fall menu. It was creamy and had the perfect amount of sweetness. I also tried the pumpkin pie pop tart. It is vegan and gluten free (I am neither) but you can't even tell. The crust is flaky and buttery and it had a delicious filling. The service was very friendly.

Great service, great food, great coffee and cute inside vibe! Stayed nearby at an AirBnB & enjoyed coming by for breakfast. The Bagel Ball is GENIUS! Easy to eat on the go and who doesn't like eating creamy balls with sausage?!?

Monthly Wine Tastings Black Kite hosts a wine tasting on the 2nd Thursday of each month. It was a nice atmosphere not a lot of people maybe about 20 in total I had a tiny bit of food. The wines will be in the photo provided. The service was fast and the wine distributor explained everything perfectly about the wine.

We often stop at Black Kite on our way to church. The chai with almond milk on my usual. They also have vegan treat options, which my boys love. The staff is always friendly and the space is pretty cool.

A quick update to note that Black Kite and it's family of businesses (which includes Toledo Spirits) has merged with Fowl & Fodder, and FF's "Chef Aaron" is now the exec chef for all related operations. What does that mean for Black Kite? Well it means they've brought back brunch, and if their soft-launch weekend is any indication of what is to come, we've got another delicious option on our hands for the weekends. Make sure to check this spot out, especially if the wait is too long at Fowl & Fodder on Adams!

Amazing coffee options and customer service! I love when they host pop-up shops especially baked goods vendors or accessory vendors. The ambience is homey and sits nestled on a street corner.

Another weekend, another coffee shop! This one has a very cute exterior and the inside is surprisingly spacious and bright! I was greeted right away upon arrival and given some great recommendations by the barista! I ended up ordering the Ohio Honey Lavender which was delicious. It is sweet but not overwhelming, and perfect for a cold rainy morning. I also got a breakfast ball which were made fresh. The one i got was stuffed with cream cheese with roasted red peppers. It was the perfect amount of soft and chewy! They have a variety of options from veg to gluten free in their pastries and snacks. They also have a meat pie and veggie pie which I would love to go back and try. A fall menu was also available. My one complaint was the lack of clarity on where to park. It seems like they have some street parking right in front but it wasn't very clear and on a busy day I can imagine those spots fill up quick. Can't wait to come back!

I moved back to Toledo, Ohio in 2015! I am SO upset with myself. That I never toke the time to check this place out. When my son visits Toledo, Ohio. He makes sure he stops at this Café/Small restaurant. I went in to get something specific, what I wanted was a seasonal item. I was told about the " Bagel Ball bagel stuffed with cream cheese, roasted red peppers & scallions, with strawberry mixed in" hands down DELICIOUS!!! Well worth the money. Trust me, this place is my go to for now on. One of Toledo's best! Friendly Staff and Great Beverage and Food Options. Very creative indeed. I love the brunch options. Ample parking spaces and street parking available. Big windows for natural light. Stuffed BagelStuffed Bagel

Employees here are rude, felt as if I was bothering the workers so I decided not to purchase anything and left.

I lived in Seattle for 20+ years and this place reminds me of the coffee culture in the late 1990s…read moreto early 2000s. Great place to hang out w friends, by yourself and people watch, business meeting, do you school work, or simply have a cup of Joe. I discovered it on my first trip to Toledo and I have gone back everytime I come back. It my coffee place in Ohio.

Things to do along I-75 N/S to and from the Detroit area (1 of 2)…read more I had to spend a few days in the Detroit area and I-75, featured in black and white on Eminem's excellent Super Bowl commercial, is the route on which I'd be driving. I have become increasingly tired of Starbucks, but less so of other chain coffeehouses. That said, I always seek out the independent coffeehouses. Mostly, I was sold on the name (Rustbelt) of this coffeehouse in Downtown Toledo, just a few blocks from the small cluster of downtown mid-rises. Inside, it has the open floor plan with exposed ceilings up above, which works very well here and fits the industrial Rust Belt mood. The seating options were to my liking: big butcher block type tables meant to be shared, smaller tables, and upholstered seating with coffee tables. I wish I could have stayed at Rustbelt longer. It was a warm and humid summer day and I had an iced tea and a pastry. The items were tasty. The pricing was fair and the service was unremarkable, but did lean toward being good natured. Parking is available right in front along the street, should you want to keep an eye on your car. That said, I couldn't get a read on the location ... it seemed that there were other eateries and bars nearby, so maybe that meant it was okay. Also, I couldn't figure out where the customer base came from. Usually, bohemian coffeehouses have bohemian enclaves nearby where the bohemian people live. I didn't see any, or maybe I didn't look long enough. I couldn't imagine them being suburbanites. Lastly, I believe I've always seen Rust Belt spelled as two words. If they want to stylize this and go with one word, that's their prerogative. So, what you have here at Rustbelt Coffee are good tea/coffee with pastries to choose from, fair prices, decent service, and a spacious open interior plan where the climate control system was working very well. That sounds like 4 stars to me.
