Strawberry Elegant Cake from Haas Bakery! Happy Birthday to me!
    Kellie P.

We stop in at Haas more than we should; my husband loves their small cakes and donuts. I always admire the cakes in the case, especially the pink swirly one...I think it's called the Strawberry Elegant Cake. Well, I finally ordered myself one for my birthday! And it was beautiful and delicious. The staff is always friendly and helpful and Haas Bakery has the best sour cream glazed donuts I've ever had.

    A chocolate ho ho cake.

My favorite bakery in Toledo. This is how fresh baked items are supposed to taste. From my favorite, apple fritters to creme filled eclairs - everything is perfectly crafted and delicious. The pricing is significantly better than the national brands and the quality is as well.

Great Donuts! I patronize them too often, lol. They have a big variety and are always fresh.

Can't have a fall or winter holiday without their pumpkin pies! We usually buy at least 4. Great donuts too! I wish I lived closer.

Their donuts are the best I've had. The frosted maple and coconut are my favorites. Super soft and light. I can't wait to try their pie.

Oh man. This is another Toledo institution. Been here I don't know how many years. I had never…read morereally been here so I sent the man over there to bring me a turkey sandwich and a side or two so I could check them out since I'm never on this that side of town. Unfortunately it's just not to my taste. The deli meat is cut kind of like Thanksgiving turkey meat really thick cut and kind of dry. Even on a croissant which I love. With cheese I just didn't care for it and I don't think I even ate half of it. The soup was okay and I think he might have got me a cookie. Everything I had just was not memorable. I know it's good to great for a lot of Toledo people but I'm not a Toledo person and it just wasn't for me. If I don't like the turkey odds of me liking anything else is probably a no.

A fast, predictable spot for a very old-school lunch. The bread (mostly variations of white) is…read morehomemade and fresh, made in the kitchen that's visible just beyond the cash register. The sandwiches and salads are conventional, and without any particularly unique ingredients or preparations. It's honestly about as generic as they come, and that I suspect, is part of why they've been around for so many decades. Family-owned, approachable, with predictable quality, Michael's is a cornerstone of a once thriving neighborhood. While it's seen better days, it feels a bit like it's on the up and up again. When it's warm out, I would suggest the best way to experience Michael's is with a take-out lunch, enjoyed across the street as a picnic, in the brand-new Glass City Metropark. During the colder months, it can also be enjoyed inside the historic, time-capsule of an indoor mall/courtyard. It's really a unique restaurant with relatively average food.
